Wingate by Wyndham Charlotte Airport

The room was very comfortable as well as the bed. I also enjoyed having a refrigerator and microwave as some hotels do not offer that. It was also very quiet. I like that there is a shuttle service to the airport which you need to arrange at check-in to get you back to the airport the next day.

The breakfast was terrible. There was nothing except a few bagels that may have been left over for some time, a waffle maker, and some cereal. You are better off getting something from outside to bring to your room and make your own breakfast. Not even oatmeal was provided. The gym was super lackluster. No free weights and only about 2 people fit comfortably in there. No water in the room either. You need to purchase water at the desk to bring up with you.

Location excellent. Had a 6a flight and it was a 6 minute drive to airport. Front desk friendly. Refrigerator and microwave in room. Close to grocery store and restaurants.

Lightbulb over area with coffee maker burned out. No easy access to wi-fi. I accessed the wireless and system wanted a passcode. None available in the room or on the keycard holder. Maybe I was supposed to go down to the front desk or call -- or something. No instructions anywhere. It's 2022, please, this should be basic and easy.

The receptionist Latisha gave excellent service. She was friendly, explained about the facilities in the hotel and where you can get something to eat. She even helped me with an issue in the evening with my room. The room was spacious and had fridge and microwave . Despite it being so close to the airport room buffered the noise pretty good. Shuttle driver was an older gentleman and he was awesome too.

I was having problems with the toilet in my room with water pressure. I was too exhausted to change rooms so offered a plunger and the toilet started working. Only bad thing about the stay.

Breakfast was excellent. Excellent hours of service as well.

When we got there the room had several things that didn’t work (air conditioning, phone, fridge, no remote). In fact, we wondered who had stayed there before and endured all that. But, the staff got right on it and fixed everything. It was a little frustrating after a long journey—we just wanted to collapse in our rooms. But, the staff were exceptional and we all were joking about it all by the end.

Very quick and easy ride from and to the airport. Clean rooms and a friendly individual at the front desk. The evening shuttle driver was a very pleasant woman who was helpful and sensitive to the fact I had been traveling for many hours.

Somehow the name on my reservation was recorded inaccurately such that when I called for the airport shuttle, I was told I was not registered at that hotel. The individual with whom I was speaking was patient and remained on the phone until we were able to figure out the problem.

The location was perfect. My family and I made it to the airport in less than 10 minutes.

The fire alarm went off at 4:30 am. After the fire fighters showed up we were cleared to return to the building. Less than 30 minutes the alarm went off again. Breakfast was only waffles, bagels and other microwaveable foods so we aren’t sure what caused the alarm to continue to go off. Needless to say my family and I were very tired due to the false alarms.

I appreciate getting the last shuttle to/from the airport. The rooms are still pretty decent, and the hotel itself is relatively nicely appointed.

The property is a little long in the tooth, and one gets the feeling that management is not really invested in it anymore.

Location was central to most of the activities we wanted to do although there aren't many restaurant options super close by. Good value for the price.

Very limited breakfast. Waffles, yogurts, muffins, and cereal. Gym facility was only an eliptical, broken cable machine, and a treadmill. Was hoping to have some free weights for strength training.

The location was perfect. The room and baths was clean. I needed someplace clean, quiet, secure and close to the airport and it worked.

I had arranged for a late check in. I gave the approximate arrival time and I arranged for the shuttle to pick me up. I received a confirming email. I was at the shuttle stop waiting and finally I called and there weren’t any more shuttles. It was now two minutes after midnight. Finding a taxi became an ordeal.

Even though there was Airport Construction, the shuttle ride was quick and seem less once I called and let them know it was needed.

I was not aware that I had to call for the shuttle at first. That caused me to wait watching for one for a while until I called the hotel. The front desk attendant was very nice and let me know the driver was on the way. The driver explained their process and the reasoning behind it respectfully.
