The Westin Cincinnati

Location convenient to the start of the Flying Pig marathon and the expo.

No on-site parking. What they had was full by the time we arrived and we had to park in a garage down the street. Also, no free Wi-Fi, extra $10+ per day if you wanted internet. I’ve never stayed in a hotel that charged extra for internet before. At over $550 for 2 nights you’d think they could throw in internet, especially since you have to pay for parking, even in the on-site garage.

Room was nice. Bed was comfy. View was good.

We have a truck and the valet had my husband park his own stating they don’t park trucks anymore but had us go to the garage to park it. It was a very very tight winging pathway down, once started, no way to reverse it!!! His truck barely fit, all tires rubbed, rims got scratched! I see why they aren’t allowed to do it BUT warning the customer why would be nice!!! Instead of sending us that way with no way to reverse it! Now we spend $350 getting rims repaired! We have stayed at the Westin a lot because they always parked our vehicles. We didn’t know any different. But unfortunately, my husband said we will never stay there again because of the parking.

More accommodating in assisting with third party reservation when can’t find at front desk. Little assistance in regards to matter. For example here’s the number call ex… to find out why reservation booking can’t find on your end. It was there but little effort on part of Westin staff. Spent as lot of time on phone about reservation when over site of Westin staff fee welding of don’t like third party bookings but hey it’s keeping the capacity of hotel full and your job!

Location was great- we visited to go to a Cincinnati Reds Baseball game and the Westin wasn’t far from the stadium! We went to a day and a night game and I never felt unsafe on the walk back to the room. It was a short and easy walk. These is a parking garage directly under the Westin, it’s not a in and out parking you have to pay everytime you leave.. the front desk ppl were very nice. There is a “restaurant” breakfast in the lobby (not free) it was so so… the hotel was clean

I requested shower bath soap to be refilled as it was almost empty when we got there and also the tissue paper box was empty and for two guest expected to arrive only one robe was provided. i informed the concierge that evening and he stated he would take care of it but it was not so I had to go the next morning and ask the cleaning staff for another robe and for tissue paper box to refill as well as for the body wash soap to be refilled and that was never refilled, we ended going to buy bath soap at the store.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. There was alot of people there and all the lines kept moving along from check in to elevators. The rooms were clean and smelled good. The bed was super comfortable. Also there was a mini fridge in the room that came in handy. We went to the little restaurant that was serving breakfast. The food was really good. We had access to alot of neat things and places close to the hotel. It was truly a 3 block walk to the stadium. I loved that we could park the car and not have to move it until it was check out time.

The only thing I didn't really care for was there was not any information books in the room letting you know what was close by or restaurant's that was in the hotel. It is just something I am used to seeing. That is just a minor thing.

Everything was within walking distance to everywhere we wanted to be. The hotel was very nice and clean.

The elevator situation around 9-11 am was not a fun experience. I believe that is around check out time. I think they should allow elevators to go to pick up people instead of being in designated stops... like A B C D ... most times, by the time it got to our floor, the elevator was full.

The staff was very friendly. There was parking under the hotel that was connected. There are a lot of security type of things around the hotel that you know you’re safe! The staff was very helpful especially since we have been to Cincinnati. The vallet driver gave us directions to several places to go to while we were there since there were no malls around that area of town!

I booked my room online for over $300 and got there and had to pay another $50 for if anything happens to the room while i was there. I understand that that it is not their fault but I feel like that extra $50 should be already included. But honestly if I ever go back to Cincinnati, I will be staying at The Westin!

All but one staff member were absolutely amazing - very friendly and helpful! The rooms were clean and nice and the hotel was very pretty.

The man who was cooking our breakfast was INCREDIBLY rude - seriously, my adult daughter was so afraid of his attitude toward us that she refused to order breakfast from him. We had to get her a bagel from the cashiers. Our cousins were with us and when they walked up and said hello to him and asked him how he was, he just turned and walked away. He acted like he was completely annoyed that we were there and asking him to make us some scrambled eggs. I've never been treated like that in my life just for ordering a simple breakfast. He was pretty scary.

The staff brought a fan to the room since we had forgotten ours! I accidentally left my IPad and housekeeping, turned it into lost and found. We contacted the office and they shipped my IPad back to me since we are from another state.

Details could be more clear about parking garage available right under the hotel which is convenient and cheaper than vallet.
