Super 8 by Wyndham Columbus West

This hotel was great! The staff was very kind and beds were comfortable. Seems like a pretty new hotel. You can't beat the price! Very close to lots of restaurants and shopping options. For those of you with children, the room we had offers something I had never seen before...a cushioned area by the window. My wife and I thought this would have been perfect for a kid to sleep on if we had stayed in this hotel when our kids were young! I included a photo of this cool feature in this review. Read on to find my negative comments...but again, our stay was great. We would definitely stay here again in a heartbeat.

The only thing that kept me from giving it a perfect review was the cleanliness. I always check the beds in ALL hotels I stay at for bed bugs. So during my search (I found no bugs!) I noticed that the bed skirt was pretty dirty. It looked like it had not been changed in a while. Granted, this is not part of the bed that someone actually sleeps on, but it was still a bit disturbing to see all the dirt and hair present. I included a photo of this. You may have to zoom in to see the dirt and hair. There also seemed to be a dried booger and mud on the wall. Again, this didn't exactly ruin our stay, but something we obviously didn't want to see on our wall! I included a photo of this as well.

Anna at the front desk went above and beyond to be helpful. The whole staff was pleasant, everyone always smiling and eager to help

The do not disturb sign and the maid service sign looked a lot alike resulting in some confusion when I needed clean towels. Anna at the front desk resolved the issue quickly and to my satisfaction.

The breakfast and the cleanliness.

Coming/Going the front desk was unmanned. The bed was too firm and we didn’t get the minimum amount of towels required for two occupants. We requested extra towels and didn’t receive them. I was told we could get a veteran discount but the rep couldn’t enter it into the system because the booking.com app was used.

Could have been better(breakfast). I understand that everything is still being done under Covid guidelines. Only had blueberry bagels and cream cheese tasted out of date.

Cable channels were not what I expected. More sports channels then anything (sucks). Nothing for urban people expect BET (sad).

Great location, plenty of restaurants/bars in the area. Easy to get to from the highway. We had a queen bed, room was small but it was very comfortable. Bathroom is nice, shower is really nice with full glass doors. Staff was very friendly.

The bed was comfy and the shower was hot!

I noticed cleanliness issues right away. The faucet had dried soap on it, there were crumbs on the windowsill and the nightstand had to be cleaned. Other than those three things, everything else was good!

I love the location and ease of checking in and out. The hotel is also a great value for the location. It is close to many bars and restaurants. It is also easy access to the highway.

The room was clean but the guests before, I do not know how long ago, broke the desk. It was clearly broken and not fixed before our stay.

Well. Tha bed was comfortable.

Shower had something look like mold/dirt and were uncomfortable so we just washed up for two days.

The back of the iron had some kind of wax stuck on it that ruined part of my shirt.

The room was super clean, the bed was comfy, front desk was super nice. I'd stay here again. The bar across the street was extremely fun as well.
