Holiday Inn Express Wilmington, an IHG Hotel

The hotel is located in town near shipping places and restaurants. It’s clean. I love the gym and heated swimming pool that my kids and I went twice both. It felt like our little vacation while visiting family before Christmas. It’s also pet friendly . Staff are mostly friendly .

The tub doesn’t drain very well. Breakfast was ok for the price we paid. Options are eggs, sausage patty, pancake machine, yogurt, muffin, bagel, biscuit (some day) , banana, orange, apple, juice, milk, coffee.

We planned our visit to the Columbus zoo then stayed at this holiday inn express on r way to the Cincinnati zoo. It was great they have a pool and it was open. Breakfast was ok. Nothing spectacular but normal type things. The staff was great Bo checked us in and made it fun. And when checking out I forgot my drink the staff was able to get me back in the room to retrieve them. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as I’m very particular about this. And I slept great no pains and felt rested.

That one guest had like 8 kids in the pool and let them just splash water all over in the pool area. I didn’t complain to the hotel. But I think the same group had also taken all the towels in the pool area.

the water was turned off at 10 and we did not know about it till we checked in. we stayed there so we could see our stepson and he could go swimming, we had asked months before our stay for a later check out. so to hear the water was going to be shut off put a little damper in our plans . just which we would have known sooner

As a athlete I did travel around the world in last 10 years. I visited a lot of hotels. But to me, this was one my best places to stay. Very friendly staff, clean rooms and they do everything what they can to make it a good stay. Thank you once again. And hopefully till next time. Regards, Jan van Lierop

Location was great with many retail stores nearby, Dollar General and Aldi right out front. Breakfast was better than most places; lots of options including fresh fruit

There was a little smell in the bathroom and the curtain wouldn’t cover the entire window

I found this a great place to stay staff very helpful and nice. Nice pet relief area.

The fact that i booked my room almost 3 months in advance and requested 1st floor room and got 3rd floor. Also, a complaint was made about my pets barking when they were with me at a grooming competition and not in room. Pets were never left alone in room always went with me.

Great safe location. Staff was super nice. Accommodations were exactly as described. Clean and quiet. Breakfast was fantastic. Plenty to choose from and staff kept hot foods stocked.

Ice machine was broken on second floor. Was able to get ice on first floor.

The staff was absolutely helpful, kind, respectful and made us feel at home, Rose was wonderful in the mornings at breakfast and cleaning our room.. every staff there was very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

I've stayed here probably 5 times now. Easy to get to, clean, good breakfast but small, coffee 24/7. Love the field next door for walking my dogs. Hotel has poop bags available which is very nice. Good location, Dollar General right across the street as well as an Aldi grocery store.

Back parking lot has some shady characters that sometimes hang out there. (They have a BBQ grill set up in the lot) Seen people going through the dumpsters behind the Goodwill store out back too. Used to be able to completely circle the back of the hotel, but now the new hotel next door has the far access all torn up. I hope that gets cleared soon or you better be able to back a trailer up to get out if you pull to the back. The indoor pool always looks murky.

Wonderful staff, the evening/night manager was exceptional. Very comfortable beds, super clean room and common areas. Greatly appreciated the full size shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and liquid soap. Tasty breakfast with many options. Loved the 24 hour coffee/tea/hot cocoa bar.
