Hampton Inn & Suites Xenia Dayton

We traveled to race at the VW Summer Nationals at Kil-Kare Racetrack in Xenia and needed somewhere local to stay. There are not many choices and out of the 3 available 2 are very bad. We decided to pay double the money to stay somewhere sleepable. The packing lot was large enough to hold our motorhome/trailer rig which is a plus. The room was clean and the beds very soft. Large bathroom with built in shampoo/conditioner/body wash in the shower. Hot water when you needed it. Even though the parking lot was packed the next morning, you never heard anyone. Very quiet. Hot breakfast in the morning. Same as what you would expect from a Hilton property. Scrambled eggs/sausage make your own waffles, cereal, yogurt, pastries and bread, hot coffee. This is why I chose Hilton properties over anyone else.

Very expensive compared to other local hotels in the area. Double if not more.

Hotel provided all we needed. Beds were very comfy and rooms were spacious. Staff went out of their way to be helpful and to greet us when we came in. Very impressed with all the staff.

I would have liked different pillows. Did not care for those at all. I left the eating area when Fox News was on. That was a total turn-off.

very clean, modern, good amenities

We had booked 7 rooms on Booking.com. I canceled two a while back, leaving us with 5 rooms. when we arrived, we were told that we had booked 8 rooms and we couldn’t change it and would be billed for the 8 rooms. I showed them my reservation and didn’t seem to care and they couldn’t do anything about it. I contacted Booking.com, and a helpful woman said she would contact the hotel while I waited. She could not talk with the manager because they were not there. she said she will call the hotel tomorrow to try to resolve the problem when the manager returns.

All the staff was super friendly! I want to give a shout out to James in Maintenance. He is awesome! Went out of his way if he saw something that needed addressed even if it wasn't part of his job. Great hire! Also having coffee available at all times is a win in my book.

The beds were a little firmer than I like but its hard to find something that fits everyone's comfort level as everyone has a different preference.

Excellent comfort and cleanliness and most staff were friendly and helpful. Good breakfast

Staff were eager to assist and extremely helpful with the exception of one person who did not smile even once during our interactions at the front desk and was borderline rude while finishing a ten minute phone conversation without even acknowledging us waiting at the counter.

The breakfast was awesome. Our rooms were so spacious and the beds were comfortable. The only suggestion I would have is to have a hand held shower sprayer instead of a shower head.

Just that there was a shower head instead of a hand held shower sprayer.

We loved Rachela at the desk, she was so helpful...we were there for my daughter's wedding and she sent up a sweets treat bag for her, tried to upgrade her but the place was booked (easy to understand why, it's so nice), got the bride and groom across the hall from each other the night before the wedding so we could all easily communicate but stay separated; she just was tuned in and helped so much! You need multiples of her, she does a great job! Thank you, Rachel!

Location was great

Having to pay twice for my initial arrival day. Called to explain and inquire about resolving the situation and there wasn't a response. Contacted via email also with no response.

Breakfast was good, but, one morning there was no juice available. Liked that there where several options for coffee. Like that there was ice water in the lobby.

Nothing.

One day the trash wasn't pickup in the room. The next day we had to ask for another face cloth. Only one was in the room. The toilet bowl wasn't very clean.
