Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Albany, an IHG Hotel

Family and I stayed many nights here while we moved. A lot of those nights were booked on a day-by-day basis and the staff was friendly and extremely accommodating to this. The king rooms are worth the upgrade with a much larger TV and surface space than other hotels in the area, perfect for a family of four! Facilities (pool, sauna, and laundry specifically) are well-maintained and never felt dirty or undesirable. Coffee and breakfast have certainly improved and were actually worth waking up for!

Wi-Fi was often not reliable. Late check-out could never be accommodated past 30 minutes. The bed was a little too firm for my own liking. Didn't appear to have any weekly room rates available.

Breakfast was very good. Enjoyed the biscuits and sausage gravy! The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable.

The mirror in the bathroom had a light surrounding it. That didn’t seem to help with actually seeing better! A mirror would be very helpful by the window. Of course the price has been too high everywhere since covid!

The room was amazing and huge. Bigger than we expected. It's like a mini apartment!!! We loved it!!!

The room is directly next to the elevator so you hear the sound of it running. But it's not unbearable. Sometimes if the people in the pool are loud you can hear them playing and shouting as if they're right next door. But it only happens at night before they close. It's right below us.

So clean, modern and very comfortable. Just myself and my grandson traveling, and we felt very safe there. Easy to find. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Best pillows.

Hot tub was not working. And a hot tub was the main reason we originally reserved at this hotel. I understand that these things happen. But I do think these are the kinds of things people should be notified of prior to arrival.

The initial greetings were very much genuine kindness. Very helpful including bringing Xtra pillows. The morning breakfasts were very good, with many options to choose from. The pool, spa, & sauna were very much appreciated after a long days drive.

Nothing to complain about.

Room was very clean. Beds were very comfortable. Pillows were great too. Laundry room was clean and easy to use too. Staff was busy cleaning floors and anything people touched. We felt very safe from germs.

Breakfast was not anything to write home about. Had to take it to your room to eat due to COVID rules. Pool and hot tub were cloudy and the water sticks. You smell so bad when you get out. I had to wash our suits with soap to get smell out. Pool was very cold, I do not think it was heated.

Elevator extremely slow and jerky- felt like it was going to stop between floors. Very hard when checking in and out

The pool and sauna were just what we needed to get some kid energy out, I love that it was open so early and late. The fitness center was much more than I was expecting, and it was greatly appreciated.

A Waffle Machine at breakfast, otherwise it was great!

First room was not acceptable (not clean). The manager immediately apologized and moved us to another room. Beds very comfortable. Pool and Fitness room extended hours were great. I used the sauna, spa, pool, and fitness center.

Breakfast was basic choices served up on a tray by hotel staff to eat in your room. The banana was good! Ah..the science...five months ago (February '21) we stayed at a BW in southern CA where the breakfast buffet was serve yourself and the dining room was open.

Room was clean and comfortable, staff greeting us and was helpful.

Breakfast could use improvement; scrambled eggs are not appetizing, are these from scratch or powder? Pool looked dirty. Small babies with diapers in the pool.
