Our room was clean, the hotel was quiet, and we loved the balcony overlooking the marina. Bed had a newer memory foam top, which was nice and firm -- super comfortable. Coffee/tea available in the lobby 24/7. Tons of parking and free breakfast (also with a great marina view!). Our room had a spare blanket and a floor fan which we used for white noise; much appreciated. I slept great and would stay here again.
Silly thing to complain about: The water pressure in the shower was insane. I usually love a good strong shower, but this was almost painful! I really wanted to be able to adjust the shower head so it wasn't shooting ninja needles at me and had a hard time keeping it from spraying all over the bathroom floor.

Convenient location, when the weather was nice (which it was), walking along the river was very pleasant. The breakfast service was a nice touch, it makes it easier for us to start our day when we can just eat at the inn without worrying about having to finding a restaurant for breakfast. It is extremely convenient for families for sure, they have good varieties of food to choose from as well.
The whole floor was shaking when the laundry machines were going, which really freaked us out at first. The facilities are not the most updated, you can tell some updates are much needed. The bar that holds the bath towels completely came off the wall.

Loved the location overlooking the harbor, the bridge, and the river. Second floor involved a set of exterior stairs, but it was Worth it to have that bit of elevation on such an interesting view of the harbor, and the big container ships clearing that dramatic bridge. Apparently, every room in the Inn has the view! The room was clean. The beds were wonderful. Staff was helpful, and the morning breakfast had a very reasonable selection of coffee, proteins, carbs, and that view.
The Inn's age shows a bit, but they have worked to keep it appealing. Truly, the star is the river.

The room was large & spacious. Cable was somewhat limited, but there were options. Beds were comfy, but the pillows were not as much. The balcony & view were amazing. The staff was super friendly & accommodating It was pretty close to a lot of things in that part of town. Plenty of restaurants & bars right there, as well as the Riverfront trolley.
My main issues were the lack of a bathtub. If it said it in the listing, I missed it. Would have been nice to have one, for sure, but it was a nice shower & and bathroom overall. The balcony door didn't lock & while I wasn't worried anything would happen, I think it should have latched just in case. The balcony also had some aggressive pigeons that hang out nearby & harrang the guests for food if you step out there. Having the pigeons waiting for the chance to bum food was a little annoying, but also, it's what they do. 🤷

The motel is an older facility, but rooms are updated and spacious. The location is superb! Each room has a deck looking out on the marina that is actually accessed through the motel building and the oustanding Astoria- Megler Bridge over the Columbia River. Catch a sunrise or sunset from your deck. The lighting is exceptional! The Astoria Riverwalk is just outside the property, great for walking or biking, and offers so many scenic views of the shoreline There are lots of amenities to the rooms, too: fabulous breakfast buffet with hot and cold foods, in-room frig larger than most, coffee maker, table and chairs. We'd stay here again if we're back in the area.

The lady we had at check in was extremely polite and helpful all evening long! (The man at checkout was great too) The motel tried hard to freshen up the look of the room and did a pretty good job, but it did need new carpet and especially drapes. The bed was VERY comfortable. The room and linens were clean. Good quality towels and lots of shower pressure. Great choice of larger shampoo etc dispensers rather than little single use bottles. Breakfast had the usual basic choices - nothing special - enough for us. A good assortment of tea and beverage choices, though.
The sea elements have deteriorated the appearance of the outside of the motel. A reno is definitely necessary on the outside. The thick wooden balcony rail meant that an average sized woman cannot see past the top rail while seated on the deck chairs on the balcony. Maybe a counter height for adult only rooms? The arms of the comfy chairs in the room were very worn and seams were splitting. Plus previously mentioned drapes and carpet. We were comfortable throughout and it appears they are trying - so I rated an 8. The price, however, is high considering the condition of some aspects.

This room had a lovely room right over the marina. There was a nice view of the bridge and we could see birds and fish from our room. Breakfast was pretty good; normal for an inclusive continental style breakfast. It did have some unexpected hot options like oatmeal, sausage and biscuits and gravy which was nice. The bed was comfortable, and there were plenty of pillows.
The facilities definitely are older and in need of repair. They have done a nice job sprucing the overall facilities up, but the property is old and new white linens were not enough to distract from the overall rundown facilities. However, as we stayed during the summer season, this was the most affordable option. This property was significantly less than other properties in Astoria and elsewhere on the coast. I know that this property is a really good deal in the off season.

We only stayed here one night but I enjoyed the view of the Astoria-Meyer bridge (sorry if I got the name wrong — the longest bridge to get to Washington). The Riverwalk had a nice little balcony looking out to the port as well as a complementary continental breakfast. The staff were great and check-in was smooth. The location was also near train tracks which one of the recommended walking areas for Astoria (didn’t have a chance to walk it).
We were on the second floor but there was no elevator. No that I didn’t like it, thought it was a good work out depending on how many trips I felt like taking 😋

The view of the marina and the bridge is hands-down the reason we stay at the Riverwalk Inn and why we recommend it to friends, but the staff have always been very friendly and professional, and the rooms are perfectly comfortable. The breakfast is decent too. I've seen reviews that complain about it not being right in the heart of town, but I actually think that's a plus, and it is on the riverwalk.
Once we stayed in a room that was cold, like low- to mid-60s, and when we asked the front desk clerk for an extra blanket, he said they didn't have any. And on our first stay, we couldn't get the TV to work, and neither could the front desk clerk.

View of the harbor was so cool, we might have seen a couple getting a little frisky on one of the porches, so whether it is a positive or a negative, that's your own thing. The room was comfy, the staff was super cool, and the view was super fun.
The stairs... with the luggage we had, it was a challenge getting them up, and a crooked staircase caused a little balance issue. The mention of a couple having a little extracurricular in the things that were liked should be here, as was with my daughter, and that wouldn't have been very good for her to see. The directions from GPS were a little off, and if you made the wrong turn, you have now crossed the bridge (which was cool), but that took some time to cross back and forth.
