Our room was very spacious and the balcony over the pier was a great place to have coffee in the morning. Plus, it was exceptionally quiet. I know we were there after the big holiday weekend was over, but it was so nice to have a quiet hotel. We were only woken up one morning at 2:30 by the acoustic tenor guitarists that invaded the day before having a midnight jam session. Breakfast was well provided, with waffles, eggs, delicious oatmeal from Big Red's, and wonderful coffee that tasted great! Plus, the water was so good! (I know that seems weird, but when you live where the tap water tastes like chlorine, you get excited about these things.)

The hotel does not have an elevator, so if you require ADA compliant rooms, they are first floor only. If you are planning a stay of more than one night, you will have to request that your room be cleaned daily when you check in (this is a hold over from COVID protocol that they are not relaxing). If you happen to be there before 4:00PM check-in, and they have a room ready for you, you can check in early, but it will cost you an extra $25. We had one desk clerk who seemed to be having a bad day, but everyone else was lovely.

Rooms were well maintained and clean, and the view from the balcony was wonderful. The buffet breakfast was simple but the food was of good quality. The staff was friendly and I enjoyed a conversation with a facilities maintenance staff member from Montreal who provided some local color with his description of the fish processing plant next door.

It would have been a bit nicer to have metal silverware for the pleasure of using it and for minimizing the amount of plastic waste in the environment. The memory foam mattress in my room was pretty uncomfortable. Others may like those but I need a firm mattress to get a good night's sleep.

Spent a couple of nights here back in 2016, and came back because we liked it. Staff was very friendly, room wasn't too large but the nice view totally made up for that (all their rooms have marina view as well as a view towards the Astoria-Megler Bridge...). Room was very clean, there's a microwave as well as a fridge; the bed was comfy, bathroom nice. Pretty good above average breakfast as well. Great place overall, would stay here a third time, if we're ever back this way.

My location and how easy it was to travel to Buoy Brewing's Lager Festival down the dock. The trolley was in the parking lot and for $2 you can ride it all day!! This hotel also had bicycles you can rent for no extra fees, and the front desk had very kind, friendly people working all weekend when I stayed. Breakfast buffet style was included and for being for free I cannot complain. Coffee and juice and a nice variety for everyone. My room was comfortable, the other guests were not that loud and it didn't bother me. My view was so pretty. Clean room and bathroom. Would highly recommend, it was a great last minute deal and worth the money. I forgot I arrived hours early before check in and the front desk was more than accommodating giving me a parking pass to park in their big park lot early, and explore downtown by foot. I really appreciated that after a 2 hr drive.

Our room was directly adjacent to the marina, with a small balcony right over the water. Beyond that was the Columbia, with the Astoria Bridge just to the right and the Washington side across the water. For the modest price, we were not expecting such a wonderful view. We also enjoyed the memory-foam mattress -- very firm and very comfortable. The breakfast was unexpected: biscuits, sausage, scrambled-egg patties and country gravy, plus various breads and bagels to toast. A kettle of hot Bob's Red Mill steel-cut oatmeal was a very nice touch, and the house coffee was freshly-ground Thundermuck, a medium-dark roast from the nearby Columbia River Coffee Roaster. And again, breakfast is right beside the river. The photos here are all from our balcony.

There is a dredging operation going on in the marina, which means that during regular business hours the sound of the pumping machinery is pretty much constant. But it's quiet after hours, so it doesn't disturb sleep unless you need a mid-day nap. No idea how long it will be running, so you might be lucky enough to miss it.

Spacious, comfortable room, including good seating and a table, with views over the harbour, bridge and estuary. We were just overnighting but it would have been convenient for exploring Astoria, which looked interesting. Staff at check-in and breakfast were very friendly, and the breakfast was generous and tasty. If you would have difficulty carrying cases to the second floor, book a first-floor (ground-floor) room because there is no lift.

The room needs better lighting, just inside the doorway.

The shower was great ! The room and Hotel/Motel itself is a little tired and worn, but you can tell they really try to keep it up. The breakfast is a nice touch with a great view of the marina and bridge. It's in walking distance to many attractions. The bus to the crab festival stops at this property.

My husband hated the memory foam mattress. But he loved that shower !

We got a good deal on this room for our three year anniversary and it had everything we could've wanted. It was close to a really good restaurant, and the view of the harbour was incredible. Best of all, the room was quiet and the bed was comfortable. And there is something about the smell of sea air that just takes you to a different place...

Wish we could've stayed longer. If I could change anything, the interface on the TV was a little cumbersome to use. But really, that was very minor in the scheme of things and for the occasion.

The balcony with marina view was amazing, great breakfast (fantastic local brewed coffee), friendly and helpful 24hr staff, and the location was good (within short walking distance of some amenities as well as a trolley or a paved/accessible Riverwalk trail to get to downtown). The bathroom was spacious with large mirrors and the room had soft chairs and a table which was nice. We also appreciated the microwave and refrigerator.

The facilities are being updated, however, some of the rooms have not been. They are still nice, but could use a refresh.

Nice location, every room is on the water overlooking the marina, with a balcony on the second floor no less. Breakfast was decent.

You can tell they are trying to modernize the rooms piece meal over the decades, so some aspects are very dated while others are more modern. While it's clean and spacious with flat panels TVs, It still feels oldish in an 80s motel non-charming manner with cheap lighting and lacking USB/110 power outlets near the bed for charging devices.
