Lloyd Hotel Astoria Bayfront, Ascend Hotel Collection

The hotel is right off of the bridge, so it’s conveniently located. We were only staying one night as we were making our way down the coast. It’s right near the water, and there’s walking paths behind it (just be careful, there were some sketchy people hanging out on the path). The breakfast was good, and they serve chowder at 5pm (we didn’t try it, but it’s an added bonus). They have a nice pool, and the room was a decent size. The only thing was that we noticed there were small stains on one of the top sheets (it looked like blood). Since we were only staying one night, we decided to just rip it off the bed and set it aside. So just double check your linens when you get there. There is plenty of parking, and grassy areas for your dog to do their business. Oh ya! This hotel is dog friendly, and they even gave us some dog treats for our pups.

Really nice lobby with complimentary smoked salmon soup in the evening! The pool/sauna area was just right and relaxing. Breakfast was really good with great options. This is a good place for our dog with a bike trail right behind and along the bay. The room was a good size. We also used the laundry room that was big and clean.

Finding the place was a challenge. You can't see a hotel sign from the road and the turn off is a road to another company. It's at the end of the River walk so you really don't get the River Front vibe unless you walk a long way.

Breakfast was very good. Eggs, sausage, skillet potatoes, biscuits, gravy, cereal, pastries, fruit, waffles, coffee and juices. Most rooms have water view, but not all, Convenient to downtown by car. We had a queen deluxe room which was pretty spacious and included refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and a great shower/tub with hot water. Laundry facilities available for pay. Indoor pool, but we didn't use it. Housekeeping on request. We requested every other day which worked out fine.

Located in an industrial area, which didn't bother us, but not very scenic.

A nice variety of breakfast choices. Very very helpful staff I had hip replacement surgery 2 days before Iarrived. Getting to breakfast wasn’t easy by myself. But the staff was great .

I would say your. Pet Policy. I had a service dog with me when I checked in. I showed the front desk staff her certification card I CARRY WITH ME. But was told that wasnt enough I would need to fill out additional paperwork. Not acceptable. I didn’t feel well & just wanted to get to room 130. and sleep.

My partner and I told them that it was our 3 year anniversary & were greeted with fake rose petals, a card, a bag of chocolates, and a bottle of Martinelli’s when we arrived! It’s the little things that make you a lifelong customer for a company, and this was one of them. Also, the bed was very soft to sleep on and the breakfast in the morning wasn’t too shabby — sausage patties, biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, a waffle station, things to make into toast, and a few refrigerated options. They even had alternative milks for cereal. A great budget option and beautiful views of the Columbia.

The jets in our jacuzzi tub didn’t work. Disappointing, but it didn’t ruin the trip!

The bed and sheets were very comfortable! The room was very clean and a good size fridge for leftIovers. They had a full breakfast, many things to pick from. Checkin was easy and the people behind the desk were kind.

The room definitely needs to have more padding between the 1st and second floor. The kids above us sounded like they were going to fall through our ceiling, it was sooo loud!

The breakfast was very tasty and had a great assortment of cold and hot foods and cold or hot beverages. Food was hot and replenished when low. Also there are deer in the parking lot at dusk.

My GPS on my phone had me running circles in the uptown district and was very annoying giving me wrong directions. Called the front desk for instructions to the motel. Need a big sign on hiway to tell you to turn down into hidden land and turns. Toilets are really low for seniors, need grab bars.

My sister and I had the most relaxing stay! When I made the reservation I had one special request to have a handwritten card with a specific saying on it left out for us to find upon arrival. Wow! Not only did they handwritten a beautiful card (beautiful handwriting) but there were chocolates and sparkling cider with glass goblets! What a surprise! It made us feel so special for our sister weekend together without kids. The room was super clean and relaxing. The staff at the front desk and breakfast staff were so professional, polite, and helpful when we had a question.

Room was very clean and quiet. A lot nicer than I was expecting and the staff was super courteous! Super glad they were able to accommodate me for one night on a holiday weekend!

I'm still just a bit sticker shocked by the price of hotels now a days 😉. Nothing towards the BW at all. The access to the hotel was a bit confusing. Having to drive through the parking area of a U-Haul rental company felt a bit off.

Breakfast was outstanding! Very quiet in the room. Not very easy to find hotel. Friendly staff. We did not bring a night light & I wish one were available in the room. Overall a very comfortable stay & I will look for other Ascend properties in the future and would definitely stay here again & recommend it.

Literature or pamphlets in the room on local amenities & things to do, restaurant/bar info, etc
