Riverside Inn

Breakfast was certainly the highlight. It was really delicious and the staff was exceptionally friendly. They made us feel comfortable, welcome, and they loved our two year old. Super family friendly, and we left feeling nourished and happy.

There really wasn’t anything we didn’t like about the hotel. The balcony rooms were nice, though I might ask for a second floor room next time because it was at ground level so it felt like a stranger could walk right by, as evidenced by a trail and obvious signs that people walk through there. No fault of the hotel by any means, but it still a factor.

I appreciated the view of the river from my room. It was too hot while I was there to use the balcony, but if the weather had been a little cooler, I can see how that would be a really nice addition The beds were comfortable, the bathroom large, and the shampoo/conditioner/body wash/soap and lotion provided were nice quality. I walked over to the restaurant just across the street (using the very convenient concrete pathway alongside the river so I didn't need to cross the road itself at all) for a lovely dinner. Loved the convenience.

Breakfast offerings were a little uninspired (but this might just be because I've been traveling too much, and there's not much variety in hotel breakfast offerings across the U.S.). The coffee was good, though, and I appreciated the actual half-and-half (rather than non-dairy creamer).

As its name implies, the Riverside Inn is on the bank of the Rogue River, with rooms overlooking the river. After a long drive from Washington, the sounds of gushing water and geese and other water fowl were music to my ears. Beautiful location. And the staff is absolutely wonderful. A shout out to Laura for being so sweet and helpful when I made my booking, and to Mason for a warm welcome. The air was so fresh that I was able to sleep with the sliding doors to the balcony open and stay cool all night. The hotel is also a short walk along the river bank from a popular restaurant located on the edge of the river.

The hotel is a little dated, and the rooms are a little dark, but the peace and quiet of the river and friendly staff make up for all of that!

This is a lovely place to stay if you are in the Grants Pass area. All the rooms have a view of the river. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable and they have all the amenities. Breakfast in the lobby is really quite good! Serve yourself banquet style, they even had scrambled eggs and bacon. The front desk staff were super friendly and helpful. They gave us a great recommendation for dinner nearby, Taprock Northwest Grill. I was grateful because the reviews on Yelp weren't that great, but this place was actually awesome! Food, service, cocktails atmosphere all wonderful! I would definitely stay here again when in the area!

The view was just amazing, watched the river flow and the wildlife from our balcony. The room was nice, with comfy beds and awesome water pressure! Breakfast had a good assortment of hot and cold foods, we took ours back to our room and sat on the balcony and relaxed. Best family trip!

We went for a walk across the bridge only to find a homeless encampment right on the other side, made us nervous so walked the other way. They never bothered us while there if we didn't walk that way would not have even known they were there.

if you’re taking the Hellgate excursion this location can’t be beat. it’s right next door within walking distance. also every room has a balcony overlooking the River; love it!

not really a problem just a practical consideration. it’s on the water with balcony that gets opened a lot - you may get little critters in your room. In my case it was a big spider in the bathtub. After a period of what I assume was mutual screaming I was able to escort Spider out to the balcony unharmed and she seemed most grateful.

The rooms all face the Rogue River and Caveman Bridge. We lived in Grants Pass for 24 years and returning there for a quick family event we were very pleased with the Inn. As an extra plus after having stayed at another location in a different city on a recent trip where the breakfast was grab and go we we extremely pleased to have a fresh cooked breakfast of sausage and eggs, juice and a local roasted coffee. My daughter especially enjoyed cooking her own Belgium waffle. The staff was very kind and attentive. The photo was from our second floor balcony.

Location is great; balcony overlooking river and attractive bridge. Liked that we could open slider door for fresh air at night, but would have appreciated an extra blanket in the room. Breakfast good; coffee great. We walked to dinner across the road at Traprock Northwest Grill (which looked closed from outside, but lively and warm vibe inside with good enough food. Excellent service!). Overall Grants Pass was excellent stop over for drive Bay Area to Portland with what appears to be a healthy downtown area, lots of eating options and great motel for the overnight. Would definitely stay here again over Ashland or Medford options.

Just an extra blanket!

The staff is super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable and had a beautiful view. We were in town so my mom could have a medical procedure. This is the second time we have stayed at Riverside Inn; we enjoyed the first stay so much that this time we stayed an extra night just to enjoy ourselves and relax. We would not hesitate to come back!

The free breakfast is ok, but it would be great if they provided bread for toast instead of just English muffins and bagels. Also, I don't eat sausage or bacon and all the cereals provided had sugar, so basically I just ate a plate of scrambled eggs every morning. A few more options for the growing number of vegetarian/vegan guests would be a smart move.

I was in room 249 which was wonderfully quiet for the first two days. On the third day the room above 249 had guests and I thought for sure the ceiling would cave in. I had to find some earplugs so I could fall asleep. When I made my reservation I requested a third floor room in order to avoid this issue. This was the first time my reservation request for a top floor was ignored.
