Ocean Front Motel

The view is one of the best in all of Seaside! Right on the boardwalk! Lance is amazing, we drove 6 hours from La Grande to get there and he greeted us in the parking lot asking us how our journey was and to come relax. I can’t tell you what an impression Lance made on us, he was so welcoming and kind. I have stayed at over 150 hotels and not one time have I been welcomed like that, I hope Lance gets to read this that way he knows that he makes a difference and that the hotel is lucky to have him. My family and I hope he is there next summer because we will definitely be staying there again next summer. Thank you Lance, wishing you well from the Buzbee’s!

The room needs AC, it was only 75 but for seaside that is hot. Being upstairs we were roasting.

Location was great, it's very close to restaurants,shops and steps to the sand and beach. Cute styled rooms, like that it had table and chairs to sit in. Nice sized windows to look at view. Front desk was very nice and accommodating. Complementary water and taffy in room is nice touch. Nice coffee machine and coffee brand provided in room.

Not that I didn't like, but if you are wanting a quiet spot, a place right on the boardwalk isn't the place. You will be waken up by 7am with people walking by. Room could use luggage racks, thought it was weird there wasn't a place to set luggage other than the floor. Bed and pillows a little hard and no blankets just thin cover.

Perfect place close to the beach and lots of stores. I also like that the beds are in separate rooms! Beds were comfy and there was plenty of space in the room. The staff was very kind at checkin.

I had read before going there was no AC and figured it would be okay because the weather was a little cooler but I wish there had been more than one fan in the room with two separate bedrooms and I think only one of the windows opened. Also, to note, there was no screen on the window and it was low so a safety hazard for littles. But it looked like some of the other units had a bit more of an updated window from walking by out front. Overall it wasn't terribly hot with the weather.

We absolutely loved the location right on the beach and the promenade as well as how central it was to everything. And the view from our corner room was outstanding!! The room was clean and had everything we needed. The rooms were renovated. We loved the separate bedroom. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

It is definitely an older property but they have done a nice job renovating it and keeping it clean. The outside stairs could stand to be redone but nothing pressing. Would love to see AC in the rooms, however opening the front windows and the back door cooled the unit down very quickly, even on an unseasonably hot day.

Love the retro style of the decor and furnishings. The rooms are small but comfortable and provide what you need. The best part is the view of the beach and ocean and being so close to beach access, which is the main reason I chose this place to stay. We also loved being so close to so many fun shops, cafe's, restaurants, and attractions. We walked everywhere and didn't need to use the car at all. The staff is super friendly. Overall we had a great experience and look forward to staying here again!

The rooms are not very sound-proof. Bring earplugs if you're a light sleeper.

The view was incredible! I actually wanted to stay in the room and just watch the surf. It's the perfect mix of quirky and fantastic. All the staff was top notch. Really appreciated the real coffee mugs for the keurig. Inviting and comfortable. We will absolutely be back again! We stayed 3 nights. Did I mention that view?

While it's true that there are a few outdated things...baseboards, etc, it's very obvious they care about their guests, and the wear is typical for the coast. The only thing I could complain about is the room temp. It was a bit too warm the first day. There is a small window to open and they provided a big fan in the room so that took care of it.

The view was great! That can't be over-stated. The Ocean Front Motel is RIGHT on the "Prom" (the lovely miles-long, lantern-lined, walkway along the beach). The window facing the ocean was very large and provided an exceptional view. We also had a second very large window because we had a corner room. The room was beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Hot water was always available and the temperature control worked very well. The beds were very comfortable and there were plenty of outlets, as well as USB ports. The electronic card entry lock was very convenient. The location was just perfect! It was so close to lots of restaurants, stores, and other entertainment. Just down the Prom and around the corner was a bustling small-town main street. It was such a neat little area with so much packed into it. The Ocean Front Motel was just far enough down to be quiet and peaceful. Plenty of people walked by on the Prom below our window, but it wasn't loud or disruptive at all. Check in and check out were so quick and easy. The service was just wonderful. Lance was funny and helpful and made us feel so welcome. It was really nice to have that personal connection and service that's only possible from a smaller business. Larger hotels may have good service... great sometimes... but there's something special about having that closer connection and getting to know the people a little bit. It was really nice to know Lance knew/recognized/remembered us while we were there. We never needed anything during our stay, and only ran into him by chance once after check in, but even that limited interaction felt very personal. There was also a very nice woman in the lobby when we checked out, but I've forgotten her name. I'm sure that's because check out was so quick and our interaction was extremely brief. Even so, it didn't feel like just a standard, generic interaction with a courteous and professional employee...

I have no complaints. I was very happy throughout my stay. If I had needed anything I'm certain they would have helped right away.

We were a group of three families travelling together. One of the rooms we rented was a small apartment with a living room with a sofa bed. This was handy because we could gather together in this room to socialize. ... This hotel has an excellent location, is very clean, and has a very friendly staff.

My only complaint is that there were not enough places for four people to hang out towels to dry. It would have been good to have had an extra towel rack in the bathroom. Because of the damp climate and the fact that we couldn't air dry our towels, we had to request new dry towels from housekeeping. Otherwise, we would have used the same towels. Obviously, this is a small complaint.

Newly refreshed room with top quality components. Very comfortable bed and shower, big flat screen tv, nice fridge, microwave, and Keurig coffee maker. Some would complain about the noise, but it's an older building so there's not much anyone can do about it; you're gonna hear footsteps upstairs no big deal. The wifi is typical hotel quality--it helps save your data plan but don't expect to be streaming movies.

The key cards stopped working on the second day, and grumpy lady at the front desk was kinda surly when I went in for new keys. Acted like it was obvious that the keys would stop working every day at checkout time (except we weren't checking out for another day still).

was very tired checking in and office worker asked for my pin to my debit for the machine. I didn’t realize what was happening until later, but that policy may need to change. Had I been more alert, I would not have freely given it. yes, I’m a dummy! no, I don’t believe your worker is untrustworthy. she was very kind. was just a bit concerning when I walked back to the car and realized what I had done. 🤣
