River Inn at Seaside

The hotel is in a great location, it’s a 5-10minute walk to the beach, and central to all the core Seaside businesses. The hotel is beautiful, modern, and clean. The staff were super friendly and helped try and check us in a little earlier, to accommodate the baby’s nap schedule. I loved how welcoming they were to our pups! They are super dog friendly! They provided our room with dog bowls, dog treats, dog towels, poop bags, and linens for us to cover the beds with. We stayed at several other hotels during our trip, and this was the only hotel that provided us with all of this stuff! We were most excited for the dog linens because we didn’t have to be too worried about the pups getting the rest of the bedding a little dirty. They also have a designated doggy area outside where you can hose them off after a day at the beach. They have a nice indoor pool and hot tub which was stocked with towels. They also had plenty of parking.

I wish the grassy space for the pups to do their business, was a little bit bigger. Also, I wish there was more of a variety for breakfast. It was pretty much just waffles for the main course. It would be nice to see some eggs and a meat of some sort.

The location was perfect as shopping, eating & beach were all within walking distance. The entry & lobby were so pretty from the art on the glass doors, the light fixtures above the eating bar, fireplace, decorative ceiling piece, outdoor seating & fire pits to the beautiful view of the river. They aren’t stingy with your coffee by offering much more than 2 regular & 2 decaf. Along with LOTS of creamer & the baggie of saltwater in the room was a sweet treat. The shower/tub had many great handles for anyone who needs assistance getting in and out. The water & ice tasted great too! We didn’t have time but offering bikes to check out was a fun transportation option.

We were in a room with a conjoined door & could hear EVERYTHING our loud teenage neighbors were saying including “Hey neighbor hey neighbor, I’m opening the door!” We did not respond to them in any way. Maybe a thicker door is in order. The most concerning was finding our deck door wide open upon returning for the day. We noticed both rooms on either side of us had their doors open as well so we figured the cleaning staff were airing out the rooms. What if it had started raining, what if a neighbor decided it would be fun to explore our room by jumping the very short space (3 footish) between our decks. I could clearly see where the screen window had previously be pried off and was bent. I’ll pass on having my room aired out next time.

It was fresh, clean and updated. The front desk host/staff was very friendly and helpful. We saw maintenance keeping the parking lot top notch, which does make a big difference. We enjoyed that it was close to Broadway, but not right on Broadway (1 block off). We also enjoyed Bagels By The Sea, which was walking distance.

The elevator felt like it was going to break, it was unsettling. They had a library of DVDs in the lobby which was great, however when we got to our room and followed the instructions to use it, it wasn’t wired correctly.

Breakfast was STOCKED!! Waffles, fruit, beverages and more!! Check in and out very simple and consice. We came with our dog @Judah_the_bully and he also enjoyed his stay. Tons of doggie treats and lovings were received! The dog run was clean which was great because that means the other dog guest parents picked up their dogs poo too! For a dog owner that likes to remain clean that is a plus. Roomy room with a river view complete with a fridge, micro and patio as well as a DVD player for nostalgia 🤣 They do have movies available to play in it in the lobby. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub which can be very active later in the day. We went around 2pm and it was empty but each night of our stay after 5pm it was busy. On the grounds there is a Playground and Fire Pit but they weren't used as it was December at the Oregon Coast which is typically wet and windy. Staff Supplied Superior Service✌🏾️

Our previous stays were amazing! but the this recent one it was awful! the staff who checked us in had us sign the wrong paperwork and sent us to the wrong room! we got there the room wasn’t the one we booked! we went to the front desks and have them fixed it because we booked a room with a bday package. eventually we got the right room but there was no pet’s supplies so I went to the front desk for another round to ask for it. mmmm plus I was already exhausted at the time (patience has been tested)

Everything was great.. Comfortable, clean and very beautiful... The staff was great.. Especially Junior! He was so accommodating, kind and pleasant.. We spoke with him frequently as we went in and out, because he was so helpful with our trip and our stay.. We were all very grateful and pleased to have that! Thanks, Junior!

Some scrambled eggs with breakfast, or some kind of egg.., The only improvement I can think of, is a bit better breakfast options.. Though breakfast was great, I would have liked some eggs with it..

Location is great. We like that it is near the a cute little lazy river and away from the busyness, yet only 2 blocks walk to the beach. Our room was very clean, updated and love that it had a fridge/freezer combo, and microwave. Bed was so comfortable. I brought my own pillow but really didn’t need to, bedding was great. Loved that we had a couch with a cute coffee table for hanging out. This hotel has a real chill/zen vibe, yoga mat in the room, indoor pool was warm, gas fireplace tables in the evening made us feel cozy and welcome while enjoying a few drinks. The best part about this place is the front desk staff! Warm, welcoming, and helpful! Our kids are big now but for those with younger kids there is an outdoor play area, which makes it nice for everyone to be happy. Don’t overlook this cute and welcoming hotel!

TV didn’t hook up to cable/movies. Need to update this with an IT expert, shouldn’t be the case. A staff member got it working eventually, but it’s not their fault, hotel owner needs to update the whole system and not burden the staff with having to find a programming solution. That is the only negative we could find.

Nice breakfast choice and the pool and hot tub were nice. We love the firepits outside. The room was good with a nice balcony and view of river.

We both found the beds way too hard! I had to take sleep aids to get through the night as I was so sore. I asked for a foam topper to help but they don't have those. The pillows were way too soft with no neck support.

River view was great! Clean. Lighting ok.

The alarm went off at 0500 which we didn't set! Subtle hint?? The TV set up was a joke! You literally had to have someone (tall person) hold the box on top of the TV wall mount so the other person could aim the remote at it to turn on, change channels, volume...EVERYTHING! Booo!

Great location. Hotel is clean and has a continental breakfast that includes breakfast sandwich, burrito, cereal, waffle, yogurt, coffee/juice, hard boiled eggs. There are no condiments so you’ll need to bring salt and pepper.

Some of the staff members need more training on customer service. Out of the three front desk employees, only one was nice and friendly. The older lady and new girl was not friendly or welcoming. I tried to pick up a lost item for a friend and they could not find it. They “found” it the next day, a jacket. Got home to find out it was someone else’s jacket. Hotel parking lot is small and oversized cars park in the lot and next to the dumpster marking it hard to navigate.
