Glasbern Country Inn Historic Hotels of America

The property sits on many acres with trails, ponds and fire pits, therefore the stay wasn’t confined to one building. On property is a gym, spa, restaurant and pub. Hot breakfast included with the room was a plus. Service was very professional, courteous and friendly.

Well wood was available at the fire pits but nothing there to start it with. Maybe a box could be there with the starter items or availability known from the room. During Christmas and this is a suggestion, candles in the restaurant windows would be a nice touch. The couple above our room apparently didn’t read the note in room about noise levels after 11 pm

We are interior design students from New York. We traveled to Pennsylvania for few days. We choose Glasbern. Cuz Its unique design style, we really like. But when we came here, we realized that it was not only the design of the house that attracted us to glasbern, but also their perfect service system, each staff's service is very considerate. The environment is very quiet, clean and tidy. We will be back in the fall. Thank you very much glasbern for giving us a great experience.

Nah for the glasbern, but one for the bugs.

Great place to escape. Stayed for a work trip one quick night and the peace of the place relaxed us...even though we arrived at 8pm and left at 7am. This place is a hidden gem. The pool, restaurant and staff was great. Beautiful nature on the grounds to take a quick walk and.unwind. Room 28 had a patio and a spa hot tub in the room as well as a Sleep Number bed. Not a fan of the bed brand but it was good. Probably popular. Above all the highlight of our stay was the Server Dakota at the Restaurant. Her kindnesses and enthusiasm after our long day was so appreciated. I recommend to get the Duck or fish on the menu.

traveling for work all of the time, I get bored of hotels. found this place and decided to give it a try. it was like a slice of heaven! the grounds were gorgeous and made you feel like you are at peaceful countryside villa. the room was beyond our expectations. the pictures don’t do justice. I felt like we were in half a house. the ceilings were super high, the room was massive, and the bathroom was perfect. on to the restaurant. absolutely delicious!!! the food was so fresh and tasty. the breakfast-omg. having my own chickens at home-you don’t like ordering eggs when you are out. there’s a big difference. however-they use farm fresh eggs from a local place. the omelet was fantastic and the bread-my mouth is watering as I write the review. lol the staff. everyone we encountered was delightful.

what I didn’t like about the property was that I couldn’t stay there permanently.

Gorgeous setting amongst peaceful views and gardens. Loved the rustic style, open spaces, swimming pool, patio and superb breakfast included.

On the booking.com site it said our queen room had a bath. But none of the queen rooms do. Also the carpet in our room was very stained.

The breakfast was outstanding. The BYO Benedict was so good. The location of Glasbern is perfect. The jacuzzi tub was huge.

I don’t recommend the rooms located in the building as checkin/restaurant. I could hear them setup for breakfast in the morning which woke me up. There was also spiders in the corners of the room which makes me question how good it’s being cleaned.

Excellent hot breakfast included with the room price. Location was beautiful and tranquil.

The type of room offered through Booking.com was a bit unclear. We had a bit of an issue when we arrived at the property but they offered us the nicer room we thought we had booked. I will book directly through the Inn next time.

The breakfast was excellent as usual. We live within 20 minutes of the Glasbern. It is our go to place for birthdays and our anniversary.

I wish that children were allowed. Our son, daughter-in-law and 9 year old granddaughter, who live in NYC, would book a suite also to celebrate with us but your rules against children do not allow it to happen.

The breakfast which is included with the stay is a sit down breakfast. It’s a great menu and the food was delicious. The property itself is just incredible. So many beautiful spots to sit and enjoy or take photos. It’s a stunning place

The room could use a little bit of updating, but it’s still charming. Most of the staff was great, but there were a couple that could have been a bit more enthusiastic.

I loved that it's a bit out of the way, the peace and quiet, and the easy walking trails. Also took advantage of the spa for a heavenly massage. The food was absolutely delicious.

The only downside I found is not having a place to just get a sandwich/salad for lunch.
