The property is an older hotel with massive rooms and surprisingly lovely views of the river and downtown Harrisburg skyline. The lobby is welcoming, rooms are accessed by a graceful staircase in the lobby, and there’s lots of parking out front. The breakfast was lovely—- lots of options—- including a waffle iron, and the staff were pleasant. The bathroom appeared to have a new toilet, and granite sink. The furniture appeared recent in the room as well as the carpet. The AC worked brilliantly, and it was so nice to watch the sunrise over the river.

It’s definitely not a newly built hotel, but It was just fine for a nights stay. You really can’t go wrong here for $60 usd including tax. And only 10 minutes from Downtown Harrisburg —- which is a beautiful little city!

The lobby was very nice. Loved the curved staircase. The whole establishment was very clean. The room we had was much cleaner than I expected. The price was an excellent rate. We actually said we would def visit here again. The room we had had two queen beds, but there was plenty of floor space. The beds were very comfortable.

The only complaint we had is that the area where they serve breakfast was small. A jam up at the eggs and sausage and the pancake station, caused things to move too slow. We ended up going next door to the diner for breakfast.

It’s not the Ritz Carlton but it was just what we needed after driving all day. All the staff we encountered was super friendly. They really made our one night stay shine.

No elevator

From the exterior to the lobby and the hallway, the hotel was in good to great condition. Nothing looked run down and it was clean. The room was good to great. The beds were made. The carpet appeared vacuumed. The bathroom was clean and stocked with towels.

It would have been nice to have a card for the channels on the television or at least a card to instruct someone to get to the channel guide. Too many channels was a nice problem to have. The one thing was that the desk clerk could have been a little bit warmer. Everyone has a bad day now and then and maybe last night was his. He just seemed a little short with his conversation and a little grumpy.

Henry, who was the desk clerk when we checked in, was welcoming, friendly, informative, and professional. In the morning, I realized he was also in charge of setting up the breakfast area. I can’t imagine he got enough sleep the night before because we checked in and he was there at 5 AM. He cheerfully set up the delicious breakfast, kept it pristine during our stay and kindly offered to change the waffle mix because it was too cold and came out slowly. YOU HAVE A REAL GEM IN HENRY and I pray the management appreciate his dedication to make sure all guest feel welcome. He was a pleasant surprise and a treasure for sure!!! BIG KUDDOS TO HENRY!!!!!!!!

Bathroom could have been a little cleaner

Close to the road I was travelling along - VERY VISIBLE! And easy to reach after the first discovery (This is often a main porblem in the United States!!!) A good restaurant near by (Walking distance....)

Too much sweet at the breakfast! (Should have a few possibilities for salt items, and cheese.......)

Clean lobby, smelled nice, convenient location. Beds were not terrible. Liked the white comforter, get rid of top cover.

Side chair badly stained. Bathrooms need cleaned better visible mold under rim of toilet, (visible upon entry to bathroom). Washcloth was stained, and mold around tub. Coffee maker or phone charger doesn't work unless switch at door is pushed on, but goes off after so much idle time. Warn people of railroad booms, very loud. Breakfast is awful! Don't serve those eggs!

The room was clean. The bed was actually comfortable I was actually impressed. With someone with back issues, i slept pain free which was a good thing. The AC was great. Never got hot, it always stayed nice and cool. The vending machines in the lobby were surprisingly cheap. Some places rip you off on snacks and drinks but $1.50 for majority of the stuff was wonderful to see. For the price, the stay met my expectations

Im not going to make a big deal of this but Cosmetically the place could use some work, the wallpaper is coming off the walls, bathtub needs some caulk. Now, the toilet was an issue. It barely flushed anything. You literally had to hold down the lever to make sure everything went down or else it clogged up. I've seen hotels with the same price have way better toilets.

The value for my trip was spectacular and the property was clean and safe and the staff was friendly and professional.

Breakfast our first day was delayed because everything was empty when we came down to eat. The staff was apologetic but a little slow in keeping the breakfast stocked.

New carpet, fresh paint and a comfortable bed. They are making a lot of updates to this property. Great value for the money.

Security latch on our door was broken but they already knew about it and scheduled for replacement.
