The location was perfect , easy on and off of the highway and yet not on the highway. The premises themselves were beautiful and well maintained. It was a stately home in a perfect location overlooking the river. Parking was right there and plenty of it. The interiors of our suite were roomy, lovely and well cleaned. The mattress was most comfortable and little touches like the two bottles of Perrier were extra nice. There were lots of open spaces in the Inns, all beautifully appointed, to sit and enjoy yourselves in. I would have loved to have been able to spend more time just relaxing in one of the parlors.However, we were on our way to Florida and this was an overnight stop. Breakfast was good and plentiful in a dining room of the adjoining Inn house. We had met our neighbors the night before and ate breakfast with them and thoroughly enjoyed ourself. Plus at breakfast we got to meet the gracious owner who stopped in to chat after her morning exercise.

The breakfast was fresh and home cooked. Be noted, diners are separated during breakfast and specific times to be seated are strictly enforced. I arrived 10 minutes early on the first morning and the waiter seemed irritated.

A service dog was permitted to stay at the Manor, and it was in the Wilson suite next to mine (Hull). It was scratching and jarring the door until nearly midnight. I had to call the property owner to alert them. I'm not sure if anything was done to correct the issue. There's no active or visible staff or security on hand. The entrance or front door is controlled by a security code the guest enters.

The building, room, and breakfast were excellent and what we expected from finding this place on Booking.com. The woman serving the breakfast crowd was very good and fun to interact with. The surprise was how intriguing the neighborhood was, from the old working-class parts to the once-glorious but now deteriorating high school campus (what an amazing opportunity for a high-tech entrepeneur / community builder like the Quicken Loans guy who has helped to revitalize Detroit and Cleveland), the Masonic building, and the beautiful park to the historic collection of synagogues. We enjoyed our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed walking and driving around the area.

Pennsylvania summer mug, but there's nothing the Manor could do about THAT!

The room has all attention paid to comfort. Bed is nice, bathroom huge. The common spaces and decoration is really something else, with special care given to collecting and arranging furniture for a library and living room matching the manor's era. I came during the winter but Harrisburg in general and this area especially should be pretty and green. The real outstanding thing about my stay was the hospitality and helpfulness of the people that run this place. They really wanted to buy some cool manors and renovate them to show them off to guests and the dedication to making their guests safe and comfortable is really 20 stars!

Beautiful suite, breakfast was great, easy drive to town for dinner. Gracious hosts and a wonderful old mansion on the river made for a great stay! Second time there, enjoyed it once again. Have a drink in the library and catch a little history of the house and Harrisburg!

The grounds were very well kept

Hearing walking around on the floor above me while trying to sleep. I do understand this is an older building. Also I believe my room was the only one on the first floor due to it being a whell chair accessible room. The locks were flimsy, but they did have a passcode entry. No other security.

A beautiful home in an historic neighborhood . The reality was not disappointing at all from the expectations set by the internet while booking. We had on problems at all with the facilities, the staff, the communication or the cooking. We will definitely stay here again.

The building is gorgeous. The view of the river is gorgeous. The furniture is gorgeous and comfortable. The food was delicious. The service was excellent. I’m going back again!!

Beautiful home with an amazing view of the river. nicely appointed rooms, very clean and quite comfortable. Service, staff and breakfast were just right.

We weren’t quite sure where to go upon pulling in to the parking lot. a few signs indicating guest entrance were blocked by other vehicles. A building name or even arrows would have helped.

Very clean, comfortable bed, easy to book online, beautiful old buildings, antique museum-like common rooms, and a sense of a connection to the past. The breakfast was visually appealing, delicious and generous portions. Kind staff and very relaxing.

Could have used a guide for the TV channels and instructions for the Kurieg coffee maker in the Mary Sachs house.
