Lancaster Arts Hotel

I loved the room and that it came with a couch and coffee table. The view with the sliding glass door was also a nice added surprise. Also, while getting settled in, housekeeping knocked on my door and gave me a red rose and a small packet of chocolates. That was a very charming touch! I enjoyed the whole experience.

I wasn’t aware that you had to request housekeeping. I understand that it’s a policy made during Covid, but it’s something I wish I had known about. Also, I’m sure this was out of the hotels control, but around 11pm Saturday night I was already in bed and the baseball stadium was setting off fireworks.

A beautiful and unique building that’s been repurposed as a very special hotel, all while maintaining what appear to be original architectural features. Artwork by guests and local artists displayed throughout the property. Very nice rooms, spacious, quiet and clean. Also, there is free parking on the premises, either in a parking garage or in the lot just outside the garage. Super close to Franklin and Marshall campus and an easy drive to downtown, shopping and other attractions. Very nice breakfast included, good selection of items. Helpful staff. Many thanks!

We loved the breakfast!! The food was healthy and it was included in room price. We got to sit on the patio and the vib ewas Italian feel with beautiful flowers. We also loved the room itself. We stayed in a suite and it was huge. The furniture was all real wood and had the right mix of modern industrial romantic mixed with Dutch country hand made furniture. There was also a sketch pad with pencils in our room for our little one to draw. This hotel is unique. You can submit your heartwork and they hang it on the wall and there are books of previous artwork in the lobby of tourists from decades past.

The only thing we didn't like was that the bar closed so early. We checked in at 8pm after a long day of Amish country tourist walking. We just wanted a beer but the bar was closing...At 8pm on a Sunday. But it looked beautiful.

Breakfast was great and had nice options. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Wasn’t expecting the roses in the door each day! That was so beautiful. The guest drawings hanging up everywhere was also a nice touch. We used the Gallery Room for some online work and that was convenient. Our first night we ate dinner at the hotel restaurant and they asked if we were celebrating any special event. We were there for our anniversary so when we told them that, they were so kind to give us free dessert! Totally unexpected as well. Thank you!

There was a door that lead to the parking garage we could exit from but the card reader wasn’t working so we weren’t able to go back in through it. Would have been nice for us since it rained two days of our visit

Amazing art and architecture made the place very special. Beds were super comfortable and the staff was wonderful. My daughter used the Y across the street- a great benefit. The location was fabulous.

The shower curtain was too short for the bathtub and so water went all over the floor just taking a normal shower. The breakfast was lacking for such a lovely boutique type hotel. Would be great to have more hot options (scrambled eggs, hashbrown) and homemade oatmeal with more toppings. Thos are the things my family looks forward to in hotel breaksfasts.

The hotel room was clean and comfortable with all the facilities we needed. The theme of sketching and exhibiting artwork was quite unique and enjoyable. The breakfast was perfect. The YMCA across the road provided top quality swimming and gymnasium facilities. Friendly local people we met in the sauna gave us good guidance regarding where to go and what to see in the region.

Please arrange an alternative location than the front entrance for staff and visitors who wish to smoke.

This hotel is filled with artwork from local artists. There is even art in the elevator made by the guests who stayed at the hotel. Each room is provided with a sketch book and pencil; your artwork will live in various books in the lobby or in the elevator. Our room was beautiful and inviting with brick walls filled with art, a sumptuous king bed, wood beams, chairs and sofa, desk & large TV. The continental breakfast was very good with fresh fruit, and even an automatic pancake maker. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about where to go and where to dine. The on-site restaurant was extraordinary. One of the best hotels we have stayed.

Unique building with great bar and hopping restaurant. We had well made drinks at the bar but did not try the restaurant. it had a crowd, so you might want to make reservations. you can walk to the end of the parking lot and get delicious donuts in a local shop

We made the choice of opting for the cheapest rate because we were passing through. Our room was by the elevator and we could hear the neighbors through the wall. Also the deadbolt was not aligned and I could not close it. I would readily go back, but stay in the next tier up room.

This hotel is really a gem. We checked in to relax after our wedding and enjoyed our stay. The king suite with jacuzzi is absolutely worth it if you’re looking to have an extra relaxing and luxurious experience. We loved the service specifically Ryan was extremely attentive and helpful during our stay. We loved that there were so many restaurants within walking distance, we parked our car in the hotel lot and didn’t have to move it until we left due to the amount of options so close by.
