DoubleTree Resort by Hilton Lancaster

We last stayed at this hotel when it was the Willow Valley Resort and much has changed in this area (part of the hotel and old restaurant is demolished). The hotel sent an email asking if we would like to upgrade our room for $10/night, however, only based on availability when we checked in. I asked when checked in if we received it and were told they were sold out, so we would have the room we originally booked, To our surprise, we did in fact have the upgraded with additional space, which was greatly appreciated with 2 babies. The beds were comfortable and we were happy to see they still had both the indoor pool and kids splash/play area. Shower pressure was great too!

This is an odd thing to say, but there were just no garbage cans anywhere on the property. Nothing just outside the doors when you arrive and nothing in the lobby. Had to carry garbage all the way to our room. The garbage cans in our room were tiny, Thankfully we had some paper bags we brought with us to serve as our garbage cans in the room.

Overall, this particular DoubleTree Resort is always lovely! It never disappoints! We’ve been coming here with my family for several years now and we always keep coming back to this exact location. We always have such a great stay. The staff, especially Audrey, our waitress at Cafe 24 was so pleasant :-) The beds are always super comfortable. The overall updates in renovations are nicely done around the property. Lastly, we love the beautiful foliage and potted plants all throughout the property. They add such a charming, elegant touch. Overall, this DoubleTree is exceptional!!!

Room was very nice - loved the suite! Bed was comfy and room temperature perfect. Staff friendly. Environment quiet and clean. More than enough lighting. Bathroom well stocked and shower size a plus.

Not enough attention checking in - didn't know where pool, gym were, etc. Breakfast not very good. Great to have a refrigerator but without a microwave it cannot be used effectively especially since there is no room service. TV in sitting room was not working well perhaps batteries are low. Too many mirrors everywhere. Overcharged our bill - not what booking.com advised us it would be.

The overall property is really awesome. A very calm and quiet place. Facillities are good. Perfect place for a quiet calm vacation. Indoor swimming pool is awesome. Dont forget to get the choclate cookies at Lobby at thr time.of check in. Its rich in taste. The godd part is the cookies will.be warm whenever you get from them. Ask for your cookies anytime at the lobby during the entire stay.

Its really surprising that they dont have microwave in the room. When they have refrigerator, its kind of default to have a microwave. So the alternate way to heat your food id, go to lobby and there will be sweet shop adjacent to lobby where you can heat your food if needed.Felt really hard to manage foods because of this!!

Pretty building. Up to date rooms. The cookies. The pool. Friendly staff. Restaurant was nice ( great view), friendly wait staff and good breakfast selection.

Only one towel hook in bathroom. Space going into bathroom very narrow and close to closet. Difficult to navigate in dark during the middle of the night. No microwave. A K-Cup machine in room would be great in case you want a fresh hot cup of your own coffee first thing in the a.m.

there was no daily cleaning service. I wasn’t given my breakfast coupons until I asked for them. I payed for breakfast when I booked the room. the price was a little too expensive for no daily cleaning, no fresh towels and forgotten breakfast voucher. the coffee out front near the check in desk was cold, and I had to wait several minutes at the reception desk because there was nobody there to help me. Please do better for your guests who are paying an arm and a leg to stay at your facility.

I loved the view from my room, the beds were super comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the pools both small & big pool. Breakfast buffet was delicious and staff were pleasant.

I was very disappointed that the Jacuzzi is no longer available and it was filled in with cement. I've been staying at this hotel for 8yrs and I've always looked forward to enjoying the hot tub. But this was my first stay I couldn't

The buffet breakfast was not worth the price paid . The food was below average . 4 people cost 60.00. The bed mattress was not comfortable and we didn’t like the feather pillows. The room was dark even with the curtains pulled open all the way. The lights in the room did not cast enough light. It was also noisy on Friday night outside our room.

Location is great there is a lot shopping places nearby which i think is great especially when you have kids etc. We had dinner at the inside restaurant hotel in double tree the staff was great the food was good however the price was bit high, other than that everything else was great. The hotel offers inside pool and a kiddie pool which makes is great especially when you have kids under 10 years old.

Ar the permises restaurant the menu had penne vodka, when we got served it was more of a marinera pasta, although i have to say it was good that through me off a bit. The price for the food in the restaurant is overpriced I think with so many food options in that location the prices should be lower. My opinion overall if you stay at this hotel why not get a breakfast complimentary or at least a good discount for dinner i am sure this will keep the people from looking where to have breakfast/dinner.

We really loved the service and the attention we received at the breakfast Brunch by an amazing and professional waitress. The heated indoor pool (there's 2 pools one of them is a kid pool area of about 2 ft depth)

We didn't not like the hard smell of "clorox" of the pool. We stayed in the pool for an hour and the kids got the cheeks and eyes really red for two days because of the chemical.
