Holiday Inn Spearfish-Convention Center, an IHG Hotel

Room very nice. View surrounding pool aeea.area.. Both our rooms were next to each other which was great! Your only elevator is ery small and in a difficult spot for a scooter to enter. My husband had some problems getting into the elevator, so for the disability aspect of maneuvering around, not ideal. The pool was FREEZING. Rock flooring surrounding the pool was very hard to walk on Whirlpool was nice. Roomy and a good temperature. Breakfast was outstanding!!! Great selection, very friendly and helpful staff replenishing food items in a timely manner. They Helped me get my food to the table I am disabled and they were so helpful!! Staff at front desk upon arriving and lchecking out in the morning were fantastic. The guy with the purple hair ( I don't recall his name, sorry) was a hoot. Funny, knowledgeable, gave me direction to some local restaurants. Hr made sure everything was good with our reservation. The morning staff on our check out went above and beyond my expectations. It was a quick easy checkout. They were both so friendly and helpful!!! Our stay at the Holiday Inn Convention Center in Spearfish was excellant. Thank you so much for you amazing hospitality. We had booked a reservation at the Hampton in Spearfish for 2 rooms. When I call to confirm. They only had 1 room left. We needed 2, which I had booked for. They were so rude at the Hampton. So really glad we booked at your convention Center. Thank you again. Your facility is Excellant!!!

Pool FREEZING, rock flooring surrounding pool very uncomfortable to walk on. AC in bedroom area and living room area VERY noisy.

I did not have breakfast. I was there for the Leading Ladies Marathon, and we left at 5:00. It was around 10:30 when we got back and I just headed back home.

The service at Lucky"s Pub is terrible. I sat in the restaurant for over an hour and was not waited on at all. I was seated and given a menu but nothing after that. I finally left after another couple who came in later was seated and received their food.

We loved our room and our balcony. It was a nice-quiet night that we stayed and it met our expectations. Would definitely do another family vacay if they could heat the pool more.

Heat the pool!!! Nobody can swim and enjoy cold pools and then get out of pool and freeze even more. We would definitely bring family back for vacations and swimming but not unless the pool gets warmer. Also, all the extra inside doors to go through to get to elevator was a pain with a baby stroller but that isn’t a deal breaker.

The front desk’s ability to get us an early check in was very helpful. That was our only interaction with staff. We attended a lovely wedding reception in the conference center. The service at the reception was good though the food wasn’t particularly hot, though that might have been the fault of the emcee who didn’t get the food lines started when the food was first put on the buffet tables. Our room was nicely furnished.

Bathroom wallpaper in 227 was peeling.

This was a covid getaway, Ive enjoyed the Spearfish area before and wanted to let my grandkids enjoy it before lifelong lockdowns. The hotel staff was great and very friendly. We actually spent lots of time in pool and enjoyed the fact it was NOT over crowded. The food was great and we just ordered in the bar and ate in the room. TV channel selection was good. Hotel is well situated on highway close to the places we wanted to see and we will be back because there is actually TONS of stuff we missed !

In all a very enjoyable experience, the only thing we didnt like was the cold weather snap, and the LONG drive to this destination ! We loved this place!!

This hotel has been a Spearfish mainstay for many years. Great location easy access on & off I90, great place to stay for days tris in the Northern Hills and ski resorts. Beds are very comfortable.

Rooms are a bit outdated.

The staff is amazing, supper friendly and supportive. Bed was comfortable, and room was clean.

The pool closed early on the week days but that is ok, and the jets in the hot tub didn't work as designed.

They had the air conditioning on in our room. That was so nice! The room was clean and the refrigerator was on cold.

I did email and ask for a ground floor room they emailed back yes but when we got there they said they didn't have one. They should have been more up front about the ground floor room.

The room was nice and clean and very functional with modern wi-fi and lots of charging points. The bartender was a delight.

Parking was difficult with a truck and trailer. The steak I ordered from the bar was sub-par.

The location for our trip and what we were doing was perfect. The staff was friendly, There was no room cleaning done during our stay but that was because of the Covid virus. But if we wanted clean towels, etc. we just had to get them at the front desk which was not a problem.

There was no ice machine on the 2nd floor so you had to go to the bottom floor, Our room was very far away from the elevator so it was a long walk. The hotel is very big since it is a convention center. Wish we would have stayed someplace that was not so big. The "fitness" center did not have much to offer and the hot tub was very small considering how big the hotel was. You could only fit a maximum of about 4 people.
