Travelodge by Wyndham Deadwood

Parking was great. Breakfast included was okay, good enough we didn't have to buy breakfast out, so always a positive. Hotel seemed very clean. Nice to have a refrigerator in the room. We were on the back side of the hotel (away from the highway), so room was very quiet.

The room was very small, didn't have a bedside table on my side of the bed (I use a CPAP), so had to use one of the dining chairs for my "table". The seating on the little patio area was very limited. It's too bad the trolley doesn't stop at this property, but it isn't too far of a walk to Cadillac Jacks where we could catch the trolley.

The breakfast was fine, not difficult to get to. Choices of food were OK, but the fourth morning we did go to a restaurant for breakfast. The times are changing and while they didn't service our room during our 4 night stay, the staff made it simple to obtain any supplies, etc. that we needed. In a way, we liked it better than the "old days" because we didn't have to vacate the room every day while someone came in to straighten up. It was simpler and more convenient to just do it ourselves!

There isn't much we didn't like.

The suite room is just wonderful for a family, so spacious each room has their own bathrooms. This is such a massive help while traveling with children. A nice couch that turns into a large very comfy bed. Great location and breakfast included! I am thrilled with this location. Each room has a generous size dresser, and TV. Along with adjustable heating/cooling system. A large size fridge is a huge bonus, as with a large family we will need room to bring leftovers :) You can hop onto the trolly right from the location, downtown is an easy walk even with kids! It is just such a great location and amenities. The staff is always super friendly no matter how busy they are, always willing to help and even give you ideas where to go for Entertianment depending on budget and kid friendly!

Super great price for a room, location is great as you don’t need to worry about getting a taxi. It is within walking distance if you are okay with walking to the main area, otherwise walk down to Cadillac Jacks and hop on the trolley for $2.00 and save yourself the hassle if you aren’t a fan of walking. The staff was very friendly, the continental breakfast was great, parking garage, and lot, the bed was a little stiff otherwise it was a great hidden gem of a place to stay for a quick get away that won’t break your bank account. We will be staying there again in the future as we are s huge fan of the price and location!

The Hotel was available during the Sturgis bike week event. The location was good just as you get into Deadwood. They had a place to wash my bike water and towels were available. The parking garage is excellent!! Breakfast was available until 9:30 am and the staff was very attentive..

No room service during the entire week. I had to call to get soap, and towels. I ran out of coffee and cups the 3rd day,, so not to bother anyone I just got my coffee at breakfast. NO LAUNDRY FACILITIES , very inconvenient if your traveling on a bike.

The pet fee was reasonable, the location is great your not too in town. Nice sized pet area for the dogs to relieve themselves. The room was perfect for my husband and i with our 3 dogs. It also snowed when we were there and the staff had everything cleared by the time we got going for the day.

Breakfast could've had better options. Maybe biscuits and gravy. Just something warm to have in the morning other then waffles. Trying to find the room at first was hard but we figured out where we need to be after walking around a bit.

The room and bed were comfortable and clean, as was the bathroom/shower. It was also very quiet.

Breakfast wasn't so great since the only eggs offered were premade cheese omelets from an egg mix and not real eggs. They actually looked like a machine made them. Donuts were in plastic wrappers like they came from 7-11. I only liked the pancakes which even though they also came from a machine tasted good.

Overall a great stay. Convenient location to both Deadwood & Sturgis. Receptionists were friendly & very helpful. Accommodations were clean & comfortable. Breakfast was nice but could benefit from adding a few more options like bacon/sausage.

Building was like a maze but map given on check-in was great.

Super friendly staff the rooms (we got the queen suite) was so huge petted for family of 5. Very comfy bed, pillows etc. Breakfast included was a bonus. Staff helped give us current events that were kid friendly. So close to everything. Highly recommend you stay. The casino is right next to the hotel an easy 2 min walk. You are so close to everything and the trolly is right across the street! This is a great hidden gem!

Had to walk to another building for breakfast!! Hello!!! Does anybody actually read all this??? Have never gotten any feedback from any hotels.

The price jumped from what was quoted on booking!!! Only the first night’s rate was listed on booking website—this was a scam!!!
