Hampton Inn Dandridge

The front desk staff were very helpful and courteous. There was an issue with the type of room we received and the front desk went above and beyond to fix the issue.

The hot tub is way too small for the number of rooms in the hotel. We booked this room because this hotel had a hot tub. When we went down to the pool/hot tub area, hoping to relax, there were 3 adults using it and not much space left. If we had gotten in, we would have been sitting g elbow to elbow -no thanks. So, we didn’t even go through the door.

The breakfast was better than most hotels serve. Each morning, we had eggs, a meat, a variety of potatoes, several kinds of waffles, fruits, yogurt, bagels, biscuits, and several kinds of juice and milk.

The hotel was busy because of several special events going on like a Bass Masters tournament and family visitation for potential new students at nearby Carson-Newman College. I'm sure the hotel raised its prices because of this big demand.

All the facilities was really clean, the halls, elevator, breakfast area, bedroom and bathroom. The lobby was clean meanwhile they have a close and very protected an area under remodeling. The staff was very nice and attentive. The facilities is pet friendly but all facilities was very clean and smelling clean. I recommend this facility 100%. My own personal experience was really good.

Room was comfortable and temperature was easily adjusted. Hotel was in an ideal location for us and parking was ample. Personnel were friendly.

Breakfast was only basic with not many choices. The sausage was okay but the eggs were poor with little taste. The OJ was terrible, very watery. We asked for the room to be refreshed each of the four days we stayed. Was only done correctly one time. We didn't think it was too much to ask for daily housekeeping since we were paying very high rates during an event weekend. But the beds weren't properly made and the bathroom wasn't cleaned and used towels replaced.

Nice place and friendly staff. Upon check out we decided to purchase a bottle water and mello yellow. Did not expect to pay over $5.00 plus for these items. We feel this could be a little cheaper and the staff person on duty could not give us a receipt because she said it was under "multiple" . Not sure what that meant. My husband was not comfort with that. Thank you

Drinks a little much.

Breakfast was great!! The room was clean and supplied!! The location to the highway and restaurants is really convenient!! Pool area was really nice also!!

Do to the location being very lake touristy, the only complaint that I have is there is no paved parking area for a boat or trailer!! I had to back over the curb and park my boat in a field next to the hotel!! A minor inconvenience, but something I believe should be addressed!!

It was clean and the older front desk lady was kind.

The room’s smoke detector went off every time we showered. It was ear piercing. It must not have been tied in with other detectors because the hall ones didn’t go off at the same time. No one came to see the problem. My 6’ 2” husband had to stand on top of wobbly furniture to turn it off each time. It wouldn’t go off itself. I told the young boy at the desk about it when we checked out. He said, “Yeah, sometimes that happens.” I wonder how many naked people come out of that room in their towels thinking the hotel is on fire. There was no bathroom fan. You could see where there had been one, but it had been removed and covered.

Location was good. Seemed safe. Clean. Staff at desk polite.

Breakfast was not great. Ran out of food and had to wait for attendant to refill. She gave no verbal communication as to when or if she was replenishing. Half and half was spoiled so had to toss my coffee. Omelets were swimming in water or some other liquid. Only one left when I got there at 8:30A. One word: Yuck! Bathroom tiny. Hard to get around the door.

Location was good. As we travel home from the south we are not interested in amenities but location. We prefer a place close to the highway, easy off and easy on.

Bathrooms are not elderly friendly. Walk in showers would be better.

Very clean and great location. They offered a very good breakfast too.

They said pet fees may apply but when we checked in they charged a whopping 75$ for my 8 pound cat. Most places charge 10-30$ extra but 75 was over the top. We were left with having to pay it because it was too hot out to keep our cat in the truck.
