It's location right off the highway made it convenient. Although I didn't have the opportunity to utilize this amenity, the swimming pool looked refreshing and guest seem to be enjoying themselves. It was in the same parking lot as The Big Texan restaurant so food was very close. And if you're traveling through Texas for the first time it also kind of has a novelty themed Texas vibe to it with the rooms being decorated in a very rustic Texas fashion.

I was only there to spend one night and get back on the road, but if I had to say anything that I didn't like, they would simply be in the aspect of maintenance technique. Having been in the business of home repair, I tend to notice repairs made in bathrooms and in rooms a little bit more in detail. The fact that the jets in the bathtub were sealed with a white caulking/ silicone only made it more obvious that a repair had been made. Had a clear silicone been used the repair likely would not have been noticed at all so if anything I would say it was the lack of attention to detail. However that is in no way a strike against the hotel because the room was comfortable the staff were very friendly and it was a great place to relax for the evening.

We booked a deluxe double and it was better than the photos! More spacious with a separate area with fridge and microwave, coffee maker (that didnt work) and a sitting area with two chairs and coffee table. Bedside lights on both sides of the bed. Western themed decor was fun. Good value for money, although you must have a car to stay here, there is nothing walkable apart from the on-site Big Texan restaurant and no public transport. Housekeeping gave us new towels in a 2 night stay, which was unexpected. Most places we are staying at say they only provide housekeeping every 3 days. Check in and out is all done via email/messages and key code door - I was worried in case I had no wifi connection, but you can find the wifi info after booking, so no problems at all. Word of warning, the Big Texan restaurant is walk-in only, but we had a one hour wait, so don't leave it too late!

No shade or umbrellas at all in the pool area, made it completely unusable for me with fair skin.

I love the clever Western-themed decorations. Historical items as well. Don't bring in too much of modern day Hobby Lobby. Keep it Western; that's your theme.

The roller shade in our room is not adequate to block light. Additional lined or thick fabric curtains would frame the window and block light at night as well as increase privacy. Oh PS, that entire bed needs replacing. Sunken mattress, squeaks. The side of the mattress near the door is worse than the side nearest the bathroom. Floor lamp is without a bulb. Bedside table lamps are barely holding their lamp shades on.

The location was right off the highway so it was easy to get on and off. The room decor was themed properly and made for a good experience. The beds were decently comfortable. Loved that it was attached to the Big Texan restaurant. The staff, while I never personally saw them, were very prompt when answering any questions I had. The keyless check in was excellent as I could go straight to my room with no hassle.

The location was nice however the layout of the roads was weird as it was a one way road so you had to drive a little out of your way to get back in. Not the motels fault, just an observation.

This motel is an absolute riot, all Route 66 themed. They have some great giant figures of a cow and a dinosaur out front, and all the staff in the restaurant are all in cowboy style with jeans, boots and stetsons. The food was good with a terrific atmosphere as we all ate at long communal tables and chatted with our neighbours. I did not rate the view above as the windows in our room had been blocked off on account of the noise from the highway outside, which was fine.

Check in was efficient; rooms were comfortable and surprisingly very clean. No complaints. I loved their self check in system. Highly recommend and would certainly LOVE to come back, again.

Nothing. It was great. It looks it tad run down on the exterior, but the clean and well maintained rooms, location to the restaurant, and overall good value, I think, permits that small detail to be ignored. Let them know if you need to be situated on the first floor for any reason. I didn’t notice an elevator.

This place is a fun stay on a long road trip full of standard style hotels. It is older so you can hear some road noise, but if that isn’t a deal breaker this place is fantastic for the price! We stayed in a deluxe queen which was big, with fun decor, really clean, and for the money beat the pants off the Hilton we stayed at the night before for more than twice the price. Outside it is made to look like an old western town, with the The Big Texan restaurant across the parking lot. After 11 hours of driving I like nothing more than to check in and not have to drive to get food. Speaking of check in, it’s all remote and the office is very responsive by text. I would definitely stay again!

I really loved the "texas" feel of the room. We are from out of state, and I had never been to Texas before and so I was really looking for that "everything is bigger in Texas" vibe. And I really got that with our room. The check in by yourself pin on the doors was something so awesome as well, no need to worry about a key getting lost.

Honestly, I couldn't say one specific thing that I didn't like. We went during a very busy weekend in Amarillo, due to the rodeo. And everything ran extremely smooth. We are already booking this for next years rodeo and bringing our friends as well.

It's a fun cowboy spot 🤠, practically part of a miniature theme park with the Big Texan next door. We were in the 2nd building at the rear, which seems to have been quieter concerning the highway noise. It's all decked out like a cabin, wood out the whazoo, western decor. If you're on a roadtrip and wanna see Texas bein' Texas, well, here ya go! 🐄I don't know if normal business hours if the office is attended, I suppose it would be; we just so happened to have booked a few hours down the road well after normal office hours, so all of the process was off-site, via texts and emails. I wasn't expecting it (probably missed it in the info) and admittedly was a bit "awww..." at first, but it all worked fine, and I suppose it's just to make it possible to take late arrivers but keep expenses down, which is understandible. And any message I sent was answered quick, maybe even quicker than had I walked down to the office to ask in person. So, don't let that deter ya! 👍🔑

Well, it's not a big deal, but being in the middle of legit cattle country, you will experience flies, just kinda expected. I just recommend everyone don't lallygag with any doors hangin' open, 'cause you'll be inviting them in, including your car. 🪰🪰 They actually supply a swatter, so it's not a big deal, smack the 1 or 2 visitors and you're done. Our particular room had trouble with the AC in the early morning, makin' a racket, so we turned it off, but it was cool outside so it so happened to not be an actual problem, just woke us up in a state. No biggie.

Everything, from booking, to check in, to check out! The staff was amazing. There was a concern with a questionable person in the back parking lot. We had a Uhaul in the back. The staff immediately addressed our concern without hesitation. The room was amazing! It looks like an old Western town. It is encouraged to sign the inside door of your travel destination. There is a well maintained, cute & fenced in dog area where they can play and be off leash. Many interesting things to see and take great pictures of! We will be coming back! I highly, highly recommend a stay at this one of a kind experience in Amarillo, Texas!!
