Aloft Hotel Plano

This hotel was really nice. Great decorations in the lobby and rooms, and I really liked the interesting room layout, with the bed's headboard up against the wall dividing the bedroom and bathroom, and the bed facing out toward the windows. It was definitely different than your standard hotel room! Everything felt modern and stylish. The bed was also really comfortable, the curtains kept the room sufficiently dark, and the shower had good water pressure. I liked that there was a little food pantry area in the lobby where you could buy snacks or cold breakfast (cereal/oatmeal), since the hotel's hot breakfast was not included in the rate. The bar and pool area also looked really nice, though we didn't take advantage of either. It was nice to not have to pay for parking, and we never had any issue with finding a space. The hotel is located right on the freeway so it's not like it is in a scenic location with anything you can walk to, but it is directly across the freeway from The Shops at Legacy, so it is a less than 5-minute drive to all kinds of shopping, restaurants, bars, etc. I don't often have reason to visit Dallas but if I were to ever again, I would definitely stay at this hotel.

The only minor thing I could see being an issue for people is that there is no door between the bedroom and sink area (though the sink is behind the wall dividing the bedroom and bathroom) so if one person is up early and the other is still sleeping there could be some sound and light leakage into the bedroom. Also, there is a frosted glass partition separating the shower from the bedroom so that could also let in some light in an otherwise pitch-dark bedroom (you can't see through the glass, so no privacy issues).

Our shower water didn’t get very hot. Luke warm at best.

The interior of the hotel looked great. The room itself was very comfy and spacious. It had a wonderful view as well. I liked that the room had 2 desks and a small couch, while still having enough room to navigate the 1-bedroom loft.

I'm trying to think of what could've been better. However, nothing comes to mind. If I had a complaint, it would be that I didn't come visit Aloft sooner. I hope this helps for any travelers out there!

Jervis was wonderful as he helped our family to the funeral service and back during an ice/snow storm. We had to stay an extra day because of the storm and it was as simple as talking to the front desk crew - they even remembered us when we passed by.

The bar was never open - but we understood as it was an ice storm and all :)

Pool, except temp of water was 100 degrees.

Wait on pre- authorization to drop off. Charges went through 1 day still have authorization pending 4 days . 10 years ago we did 3 days max.

Decent hotel and location. Bartender was good

Cappuccino machine never worked. Ran out of coffee first day. Ran out of milk second day. Front desk person was ambivalent , didn’t care, not their job

Convenient for things my friend and I wanted to do like shopping and entertainment.

Too many teens on floor I was on and too loud at times. But didn’t allow them to ruin my weekend.

Nice clean hotel and amazing customer service. I can’t remember the lady’s name that was there when we first checked in but she was very friendly and tried her best to accommodate for our big families needs. Mario was also amazing! He was friendly and so polite. We really enjoyed our stay. The fact that our 2 pit bulls were not an issue was the best part. We evacuated from lake Charles and they took us in with completely open arms!

Honestly I have no complaints!

I liked everything about this property. Friendly staff, pet friendly & my room was clean and comfortable. All of these on top of the great price will definitely stay on my list of hotels when I come visit this area.

The beauty of the hotel inside and outside. The comfort of my room. I always love the view out my room window.
