The room was very comfortable, room was clean and it was nice to be located next to the pool and beach. We liked that it was next to a few shops and a good restaurant also. Very convenient to things.

When we booked there was a picture of the high rise and thought we would be in a hotel. Did not know that the picture on bookings.com was of the condo's and not the hotel. Was surprised that we were in rooms that were not in the high rise but instead in these 2 story buildings with doors on the outside like a motel. Also did not know that there was some major renovation going on so there was construction noise all day long when sitting at the pool. Would have been nice to know this before booking.

How close it was to the beach ! I love the chairs on the cabana porches.

Needs a bit of updating. Would also be great to have microwaves in the room

The staff was friendly welcomed us. Very clean resort. It's good they have security on weekends. Otherwise the guest wouldn't have parking. The resort is family oriented. Walking distance from the beach. Walking distance from town to eat and shop.

We didn't like to have to pay for beach chairs. Should be a complimentary from hotel for your guests. We paid extra for a late check out one our last day cleaning girl just opens our door we are both sharing at each other no communication to her we had a late checkout. Not her fault. She didn't know. Our last day the one girl at the front desk was rude.

Room and location was great. Clean, comfortable and nice view of the property and ocean. Great pool area, especially enjoyed the smaller, warmer pool. The food and service in the restaurant was very good. We really enjoyed the entertainment, the comedy show and the fun band every night so we could dance.

It would have been nice if we were informed upon check-in about all the activities going on at the resort. The only thing we were told was how to find our room. We found a paper 4 days in that listed some things, like the comedy show. ... It was the last week of Spring Break so first the pool was surrounded by barriers but taken down mid-week. So, things probably would have been a bit different if it was not Spring Break. Too bad it was a bit too cold many days to enjoy the pool, but the weather does not always cooperate!

This property was excellent for my family! It was easy access to the beach, the overall resort was beautiful and the staff were very friendly and courteous. They had a lot of activities for the kids, live music inside and outside and a great firework show! The pools were very nice, my kids loved the game room and our kids (21 and over) loved the bar areas. The rooms were comfortable/spacious and my parent had a suite which included a full kitchen so we were able to cook dinner that came in handy. The overall atmosphere was amazing. Everyone was so friendly and we really enjoyed our stay!

Parking is not to good but we managed. I wish they would include free breakfast with the price. It was $19.99 buffet style breakfast! My kids love breakfast, so it would have been easier on my end to let them eat the buffet breakfast to start off our days at the beach! The pools are amazing just need to be cleaned alittle.

We loved the location. It was in the perfect spot to get to several of the restaurants by walking if you like. It being right on the beach was even more amazing. I could not have asked for it to be in a better place. The bar staff were so super friendly. The restaurant on property was really good. The pools were very clean. The while environment was just an escape from the everyday grind.

There were some repairs and upgrades going on, but with that said it did not disturb us at all. The repairs went unnoticed for the most part. Like any property it has to have some degree of upkeep from time to time. We were full aware of the repairs before we even went so they were very forthcoming. Some of the scheduled events did not happen but that was probably due to the disaster that hit a neighboring town. In no way was that the fault of the resort. I for one feel they did the right thing

I booked at least 3mnths in advance with a 2nd floor king room ocean view. Upon check in Alyssa tries to give me a down stairs with a view of a bush. I question it and she tells me it's the only room available. No upstairs at all. I get with management and they fix the situation. Upon check out I asked for a receipt and Alyssa informs me that is against policy to print me a receipt.......???

Very spacious rooms, A/C very cold, nice mini fridge, the Direct TV, pools, game room area, outdoor bar, fireworks on Thursday, easy access to the beach and plenty of parking.

There was a water pressure problem with the toilet barely flushing, never stayed in any hotel that worries about the pool towels so much being told that you will be charged $25 for each loss pool towel or pool towel card not returned, I know it not on the list but would be nice if the rooms had a microwave and finally I tried to call the front desk the phone was not connected.

We were upgraded to a condo. Room was very comfortable, clean, beds were comfortable and plenty of space, staff was fantastic, especially Maria at the front desk. Breakfast was great. Pool, beach, bars, snack shack, beach rentals, etc. all conveniently accessible on the property. Great place for family. We look forward to booking our next vacation at Isla Grand.

Seafood buffet not worth the price. Island has better places to enjoy a seafood meal. Waiter had a sour attitude which made our meal even more less enjoyable.

I loved that the room given to us was downstairs with a grassy area for my pup to take care of his business. I loved the pool area and the bar at the pool was just so amazing. We were close to the beach and it was just a great, relaxing stay.

The rooms are a little dated, but not in a bad way. I would have liked to have a little larger room, but it did take care of our needs just fine. They are working on renovations right now, so I am sure it will look amazing when it is done. I took this hotel for granted, and never really considered staying there. That won't happen again. This will be my number one go to from now on when we visit South Padre Island.
