You’ve got a pretty spacious studio apartment to yourself, complete with an electric cooker, fridge and dishwasher. The bed is comfortable and the neighbourhood quiet. It’s a 10 minute drive to the DC metro, or a 30ish minute drive into DC proper. There’s a gym and laundry facilities on site, and a supermarket less than 5 minutes away. It’s a great place to stay for a trip to DC.

Hot water from the taps was variable from warm to quite hot, depending on the day (although the shower was always hot). The cookware provided was very minimal: a single small knife, a spatula, slotted spoon, a single small saucepan, a small frying pan, a small skillet and a small baking tray. I would have preferred a larger knife and a larger saucepan.

Fantastic property! John is a great host and has taken care of each request. The turf courtyard is perfect for kids to play in, and only accessible by residents. The kitchenette is one of the best I've seen, everything is full sized. Everything feels freshly updated and modern, to include the paint, TVs, furnishings, etc. There is even a gas grill in the courtyard for guests to use! Parkings is always available and it's within minutes of DC and most major stores. 10/10 would highly recommend.

The only challenge is the entry from the main road is only accessible going one way.

The purpose of our visit was spending time with our kids who live at Ft Belvoir, so it was the perfect location. The access to the highway was easily navigated and centrally located between shopping and restaurants. We also discovered there was a pizza take-out location immediately on the other side of the parking lot, so that was a plus. We usually came in after 9 pm, but had no safety issues and the parking lot was well lit. We also liked the fact that it was close to several museums and Mt Vernon, and there was easy access to the highway that goes into DC. The best part was the room. It met all our needs with a kitchen, dishwasher, dining and a comfortable bed. And I liked the double entry access to the property that made me feel secure.

I have no complaints and will definitely stay again. I noticed some comments about the staff not being available, but I didn't have that experience.

The ladies who attend the front desk are very friendly. The surroundings are very nice and clean. The location is very good. They have all kinds of stores nearby. The room... it really is a super comfortable apartment. It has 2 TVs. The kitchen is tremendously equipped. I hope to find places like this in all my travels.

Unfortunately guests do not make good use of the laundry at NO ADDITIONAL COST and I think that for this reason most of the machines have problems

Typically when I stay in a hotel of any type, I use the pictures of the room and drop my expectations a couple of notches before seeing it in person. I was shocked at just how nice the place really is. Not only the room, but the entire building is spotless. The room was immaculate and arguably better than the photos. The bed was very comfortable, the building was really quiet. I couldn't hear any commotion or tvs through the walls. It was a great experience overall. The manager is a beautiful young lady with one of the most welcoming dispositions that I've seen in any hotel. She personally walked me into the huge courtyard area and showed me where everything was before telling me how to get to my room. 🙏🏾

There's nothing that I didn't like. It was perfect.

The rooms were very nice, well-stocked (towels, TP, etc.), and convenient because of the abundance of outlets+two TVs. It's a bit far from DC or other attractions but for the comfort, it might be worth the extra distance.

The main negative thing was the cleaning staff stopped by our room a bit early before checkout so that was a bit nerve-wracking. Otherwise, the only other minor thing was we couldn't figure out how the ice machine worked in the freezer.

Exceptional value for the locale! Spacious for the price and amenities were excellent...everything seemed quite new. Aircon worked well, fridge is huge as is the range and oven, proximity to Ft Belvoir cannot be beat! Beds are very comfortable. Towels are good quality. Everything is really clean, even the floor. Free laundry with brand new front loaders...wow! I didn't use the gym but it had the 3 basic machines, and all clean. The parking situation is plentiful and seems quite safe. This property exceeded my expectations!

The quad in the center of the complex was spacious but other than the bbq and table, may be put to better use. Sound travels up to the rooms from it, but usually settled down at a reasonable hour. Metro is a good drive away. Only two minor things, could use 2 more easy chairs perhaps, but may not be room for them. bar chairs can be used in the living space. The valve to switch the good water pressure over to full shower was not working properly, but minor issue.

For a one week stay having the sitting room and full kitchen was wonderful. We were staying in the local area after moving out of our house and wanted to have "all the comforts of home" even though our home was empty. This was perfect! Although I didn't cook a meal we did use the kitchen to heat up pizza, make coffee, etc and having the full refrigerator meant we could also keep drinks and ice cream. With the sofa and chair, we felt right at home watching television in the evenings and also enjoyed the separate bedroom. Check-in was via the lockbox and the manager gave great instructions via text and was very responsive via text to my questions. Everything was clean and secure. I used the washer/dryer in the complex and the room was very clean and nice. I didn't use the exercise facilities but I peeked into the room and it seemed like it had sufficient equipment and was very clean. The location for us was perfect as we were very familiar with the local area but people who aren't familiar with the area might not find some of the good food available (Su Pollo, Chef Huangs) as there are very few chain restaurants. This place is perfect for stays of a few days or for families and I plan to stay here when I'm back in the area.

This is a short-term stay apartment, not an actual hotel, so if you need the help of front desk staff to find things in the local area or need a more full-service experience, this is not going to work for you. If you want a modern, clean and spacious apartment for your visit it will be perfect. The only thing I will do on my next visit is ask for a third (top) floor apartment as we had children staying above us and I could hear them jumping around until bedtime. Not a big problem and one that I can fix by not having anyone above me.

The apartment was very nice with lots of kitchen items you needed already stocked up. The beds were comfortable and the water pressure was relaxing. I appreciated having the separation of the living room/kitchen from the bedroom. A nice perk was the free laundry. I also enjoyed that the fridge had an ice maker.

Minor things could have been cleaned better. Our bathroom door in particular had a hard time shutting, but that may be due to the building settling.

This was my first time staying at stayAPT Suites and I found the accommodations to be well-equipped, clean and comfortable. The site manager was extremely friendly and helpful. Just an FYI that the location is a bit misleading. It is farther out than Alexandria and the commute into DC took longer than expected. My overall experience was positive however and it worked well for my purposes otherwise.
