Holiday Inn Express - Lorton, an IHG Hotel

Very nice hotel, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was great and the staff in the breakfast room were incredibly nice and friendly. We didn't use the pool however it looked well maintained and clean. The room was spacious, nicely decorated and very clean. Bed and pillows were all comfortable. Parking was plentiful and the surrounding area seemed safe. There are a row of shops across the road including a Burger King, Seven eleven and a great donut shop.

Upon arrival there was no one at reception, I waited patiently for 10 minutes for someone to finally notice I was there.

Room was great and walk in shower was great but a few handicap handhelds would good for safety, I was afraid to grab onto glass doors. Was on some meds for a bad hip and felt a bit dizzy when I shut my eyes. Breakfast was cold and a lot of the food was gone by 8:30am but it was nice that they offered it. Bed was very comfortable and we slept well. It’s location is great for staying to get the Autotrain in the morning when they open. The location has everything you need to get ready to go on the train and a great sub shop across the street from the hotel. The hotel allowed us to stay in room for noon departure. We would have stayed downstairs longer and maybe spent more on drinks or snack if they had a lounge area with a large screen TV where we could have watched a football game for a while. Glad you are there and running a great hotel.

Just a little more safety holds in the showers and brighter light around the mirrors for better light to do makeup or shaving for men. All else was great.

The room was wonderful; clean, bright, perfect bed and bedding. Breakfast this morning was delicious, we were expecting cereal and coffee/ instead we got a hot cooked great breakfast! If you’re looking for somewhere to stay before you board the Auto-train to Florida - this IS the place to stay! Every employee exceeded our expectations, and the price was good too😜

Nothing!

Hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. Hotel was immaculate. Room furnishings and layout of the room was well thought out and worked well for travellers. Bathroom was large. My husband was in love with the shower. Breakfast was surprisingly good. Will not hesitate to use this hotel again when travelling I95.

Really there was nothing I didn't like.

Very spacious room and a hot breakfast. I loved the hot oatmeal and mini muffins. Dining area was very comfortable with a big screen tv.

There was a strong odor upon entering our room and it lingered. Possibly person before us had a pet there or rugs just needed shampooing. I'm allergic to animals and I'm also cursed with a great sense of smell...The hallway on the third floor had a funky smell too. The hotel is beautiful but smelly.

Staff was very friendly. The lobby was well lit and attractive as was the breakfast area. Room was very clean and comfortable. Price was excellent, under $100 for the night. Looks like the hotel was recently renovated.. Looks beautiful. Will stay here again if we have to stop in the area.

Maybe some free bottled water for the road.

Upon my arrival there was a slight discrepancy with my original reservation. However through careful research and professional probing, the hotel staff was able to resolve the issue and welcome my son and I to a pleasurable night's rest and stay at the hotel. Not forgetting the delicious breakfast we were greeted with in the morning. Oh and a special acknowledgement to the kitchen staff, David and Corinna for their wonderful and friendly assistance they provided in the dining room. Thanks for an amazingly awesome experience at the Holiday Inn Express in Lorton, Virginia!!!

I had no issues or concerns, I only wished that I could have stayed in that amazingly, comfortable bed just a few hours longer!!!

The room was big and the bed was really comfortable. If you forgot something in your toiletry bag they have it! Everything was clean and smelled nice. The breakfast was good with a lot of options. Took us 25 minutes to go to Washington DC so that was good + they have every store possible close to them (target, cinema, gas station, fast food or good restaurant, a whole mall etc)

Don't have anything bad to say!

Every aspect was perfect. Accommodating receptionist & check in awesome. I felt the room & bathroom were very clean...the bed & pillows were exceptional. I went and had a delicious meal at Naty's Mexican Restaurant & I actually booked a dental cleaning with the dental team Gentle Dental. I was taking Auto Train which is minutes away. The overall trip & experience was perfect in every way and much better than I would have thought. Thank you, it was the best place to land for my long travel south.

I do not have any complaints, I give it a 10.

I enjoyed the seamless check-in when I arrived much later than expected. The gentleman at the front desk was both courteous and informative. It’s not too often that you come across staff so invested in making sure you get the best deal while your their guest. I most definitely do appreciate that. And carpet, yeah! The all too common disappearance of something we take for granted..Not here though. The rooms are rather new and the decor is a modern Art Deco (with carpet)! Not to mention the spaciousness of the room itself with a large TV. LoL. If your traveling up or down 95, you’d be lucky if you happen upon this place.

Ya know, it’s just unfair to really rate any property negatively with this (i won’t even say it) going around. I was in Myrtle Beach and they were having regular everything. Virginia, especially Northern Virginia, is a Left stronghold. The Governor is very hands on (no no, not that guy) and he has continued to scale things back somewhat. But not too much. We’re just not back to normal you might say. I never thought I’d be rating a property based upon political lines; but I do a lot of interstate traveling and there absolutely is a difference between the allowances and/or amenities available in a Republican State vs. Democratic. It’s just the way it is right now.
