Very smart, streamlined, efficient, and contemporary design of rooms, furniture, and spaces. Clean and newish looking and the main lobby has fun games like billiards and shuffleboard that my kids loved. I loved the fact that there were fresh apples, oranges, and bananas offered throughout the day. I was pleasantly surprised to see Lavazza coffee offered but unfortunately it was made a little too weak, and lukewarm at times (maybe it was only later in the day). Staff was friendly and the place had a youthful, colorful, fun and welcoming vibes . The hotel is located in a semi-undeveloped/rural looking place that actually was a plus to me as I’d rather looking at peaceful and refreshingly green fields and hills than nondescript urban development/sprawl. We came here for a swim meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center, and depending on the time of day, it took anywhere from 9-15 minutes to drive there.
I like having hot oatmeal at breakfast but the only toppings offered were brown sugar, chocolate chips, and a 3rd dessert-y topping (maybe marshmallows?). I was hoping for dried fruits and nuts as toppings. I also didn’t see non-dairy milk but maybe I didn’t look hard enough or maybe I needed to ask for it…

fun vibe about the place. the decor was bright and clean. Staff was friendly and fun. The room was clean and big enough for the three of us. We stayed for a week and enjoyed it. the pool area was clean but the temperature of the pool was cold and we needed to be constantly moving. The breakfast was OK, not great, but there was nice coffee.
For a newer hotel, I was surprised to see the old fashioned hot/cold air unit under the window. It mostly blasted out cold air and we couldn’t turn it off which was irritating. Its joining a trend I’ve seen in other hotels for a lack of storage space. There was a tiny space to hang up a few items, but no dresser. We had clothes everywhere which was also annoying. I think for short stays this wouldn’t have been bothersome.

I want to give a serious shout out to Shante, who was staffing the desk and managing more or less alone when I arrived, bedraggled and disoriented from a wonderful but very long road trip. I had made the reservation via my phone a couple hours earlier, when I'd stopped for gas and realized that the rain and fog and dark of the mountains were too much for me to go much further than Radford. However, when I first spoke with Shante at the desk, she informed me that the hotel was full up and my reservation had not been confirmed. I checked my email and showed her the confirmation, but there was obviously some glitch. Usually I book directly with the property, but this time I had used Booking.com. Shante offered to help me find alternative lodging, and I really just needed a minute to collect myself, so she allowed me to sit in the lobby while I tried to figure out what was next and use Google Maps on my phone to see what was nearby (and what the ratings were) and nothing close looked promising. I was just about to call home to get some advice when Shante came over to me and told me that, as it was close to the end of business day (11:30 at this point), and they had one no-show with a declined card, she had gotten permission to sell me the unclaimed and unpaid-for room. I was so relieved I was near tears. A very kind act when I really needed one, and I slept so soundly I missed breakfast and almost missed regular checkout, but thank you Shante! (And I did get some coffee; the Lavazza is just fab.) (And I did have time to squeeze in a 5 minute swim to stretch out after driving from Atlanta. Then a nice hot shower and a really good snooze.)

The hotel lobby appeared clean, neat and well appointed. Plenty of comfortable spaces for relaxing, working, studying or whatever. Upon entering the room, it looked and smelled clean. Furnishings in good condition and room was laid out well. Bathroom had all we needed. Shower pressure and temperature were great. Breakfast was plentiful, hot and fresh. My little one loved having whipped cream for her hot cocoa and I appreciated the abundance of bacon!
Parking spaces tight and there may be a bit of a walk to entrance if lot is full. Window covering in room did not block out light and this can be a big issue on ground floor.

This was a super easy stop off of the interstate for us. Everything was clean and new and brightly decorated. We arrived later than we had hoped to check in after a long night on the road, and the woman who checked us in was delightful. The room was clean and quiet, and all of the toiletries were in dispensers to be more environmentally conscious. Breakfast had a decent selection and the staff were very helpful and attentive.
The only “complaint” would be that the simpler design/concept of these rooms make it a little smaller and more crowded for four people- instead of a closet there is a hanging bar, and not really room for sitting. It’s more like a dorm or European type hotel room than what many are used to. But we still loved it and will probably make it our regular stop when we pass through

😁very clean 😁friendly staff 😁close to Radford University 😁breakfast
It would have been nice if the customer desk had something like “Welcome Radford Alumni”, instead of the Virginia Tech decorations. It was a missed opportunity to make RADFORD guests feel valued and celebrated. Radford has a long history of being considered less than VT. The hotel is on the edge of RU’s campus and knew it was Homecoming. It would have been a nice touch to have Radford decorations instead of Hokie flair.

Everything was just perfect. We travel on a regular basis between Québec and Florida and it definitely was our best stay. Great location, impeccable, nice lobby...the lady at the front desk recommended a few restaurants for dinner and we ended up at DP Dough which was about a 5 mins drive from the hotel. Great place, good food, fresh and tasty. You should definitely give it a try if you choose to stop by Radford :)

The breakfast was great when the older lady fixed it. It was delicious. When the brown headed girl 2ad here it was same cold boiled eggs and sausage that was barely cooked. now Katy and Melissa were the best staff ever they were excellent and went beyond my expectations . They are the best and greatest of all staff I've ever met.
Not much space to put personal things , and that's., ABout it. .

We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel, so can’t comment. Liked a lot of what was in the lobby—could imagine using the “emergency” food and drinks, for instance. The patio in the back was nice to have—we read out there for a while. It was nice to have a room that was well thought-out, with a large, bright and modern bathroom. Would like to have had rooms like this when I was traveling for business!
Some little things—e.g., they ran out of coffee creamer and it was going to take several days to get some; we couldn’t check in early (understood the reason, but it was still inconvenient). Some bigger things: the temperature control was problematic, as it continued to blow air—either cold air (freezing part of the room) or hot air (if we turned the temperature up, making the room hot); the soap/shampoo dispensers could be hard to use, and we ran out of several items; shower head was up pretty high, and the water pressure could’ve been stronger, as well; could have done with some landscaping—especially in the back at the patio.

We loved the friendliness of the staff and cleanliness of the whole place! Our room wasn't ready at 4:30 but the front desk clerk worked diligently to get us a room. We only had to wait around 20 minutes. The breakfast was good too, but I would suggest having regular scrambled eggs along with the ones with peppers.
My only complaint is that I didn't like that we have to have the Hilton Honors to get the free wifi that isn't that good when we signed up.
