Overall, I liked this hotel very much. Conveniently located near gas stations and restaurants. Good free on-site parking. Welcoming, helpful reception (who had a list of recommended nearby restaurants). Disabled room right off the elevator was large, very clean, with walk in shower. Bed was comfortable but a bit soft ont he edges which might make transferring froma wheelchair difficult. Good wifi.

The desk chair rolled like a puck on ice on the uncarpeted floor and had no arms to hold it steady when sitting down - this is a safety hazard, particularly for disabled persons who might not have the best balance, etc. The room was reasonably well designed for disabled persons using a wheelchair but the clothes hangers were all out of reach. The walk in shower looked lovely but the water pressure was so low as to be nearly unusable... took forever to wash off soap and shampoo. There was good water pressure in the sink so I hope this is something that can be easily fixed. Because there is no carpet, one can hear people walking on the floor above quite clearly. Might be useful to suggest to guests to remove their shoes once inside their room.

The GM was exceptionally friendly and cordial. Jesse was beyond exceptional. He went above and beyond. Great guy. Special mention to of Tamika. Though quiet and reserved but helpful when approached

The breakfast was monotonous. Stayed 4 days and you can only eat so much sausage and egg biscuits

The Avid Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Very clean throughout. The room was very clean and the staff was amazing. The continental breakfast was full of healthy choices. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

The pool water could have been warmer. But regardless the hotel is top notch

Convenient to the highway and they have several options for food and grocery store very close to the hotel. Clean and comfortable! Nice breakfast!

We didn’t have enough shampoo/conditioner for 4 showers during our 1 night stay. It’s convenient to have the shampoo/conditioner containers but they need to be refilled.

Great location in regards to shopping, and places to eat. I loved the 24/7 coffee bar and the continental breakfast had a great variety.

The mattress wasn't the most comfortable, and the sheets on our bed had a few red (like food coloring) stains on them. These things didn't really bother us though.

Easy to find, plenty of food options within walking distance, easy to get in and out of parking lot! The room was clean and tons of pillows! The pool area was also very clean and had towels and a shower and bathroom, so nice and helpful with kids! And the people working were all very friendly!

I loved the customer service provided from both Courtney and Nakia. The beds were comfortable. Location is around retail stores and fast food restaurants.

There was a stain on my sheet but I also understand with white it's easy to get dirty but difficult to clean.

Everything! This place is new and modern! It is immaculate as well. Location is easy off and easy onto 95. the staff is very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. It would be a great venue if you need a block of rooms for a wedding or family reunion. we stayed there on our way to the beach from Pa. We will stay there on the way home.

Location was great- 10 min to Richmond Raceway. Relatively quiet- could hear the neighbors a bit at times but not the traffic on the highway outside. Small room but very clean and modern. Big TV. Modern and stylish bathroom, with lotions and soap in dispensers. Decent size shower. Breakfast was fine, with some muffin sandwiches, oatmeal, cereal, bagels, muffins, juice, coffee, etc. Microwave and coffee available 24/7 in the breakfast lobby. Currently only servicing rooms if you stay five nights, if I heard correctly, which I actually prefer. They will do housekeeping more frequently if you ask. Fast food within walking distance and other dining options 5 min away by crossing US Hwy 1 on Sliding Hill Rd. Hotel is behind the Taco Bell, and doesn't show up as of this date on Google maps satellite view (too new).

Wish the fridge had a small freezer compartment, but it didn't. Bed was comfortable, but oddly the sheets were a nappy type of weave that stuck to and pulled on my cotton clothes when I turned over, so had trouble sleeping. Wear synthetics.
