Overall great experience

Only complaints is the pool had way too much chlorine so it burnt out skin. And day of check out the cleaning staff was pressuring us to get out before check out time. Went out to smoke around 10 am and one lady asked us if we were staying over as she pulled a cleaning cart in front of our room, and I said no check out is at 12 I’m just smoking, then about 11 05 another cleaning lady unlocked the door and entered our room trying to come in and clean so I just grabbed all our stuff frustrated and we went ahead and left. It was just upsetting because we had traveled the night before to another part of Virginia and wanted to sleep ina bit before we left. Part of the reason I booked with you all was because of the later check out.

The cleaniness, the breakfast,, the atmosphere, the front desk staff when we reached there at 1030pm from Georgia.

We were leaving and my son who we were taking to Cornell University had to use the bathroom. He ran in while we were in the room. It was 11 40am. There was a knock at the door. We knew check out was at 1200pm. My son ran out and said we needed to go. I told him we still had 15 minutes bit he got nervous and said "no mom their knocking lets go". Maybe housekeeping needs to be patient. She didnt really speak English but someone should translate. Otherwise great facility as an empty nester we may be back to visit Virginia. Thank you

The room was pretty clean. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, from the woman at the front desk to the staff that were maintaining the hotel. The included breakfast was also good. The highlight for me were definitely the views, especially the sun rising over the mountains.

Though clean, the furniture was older and in need of some deep cleaning or reupholstering. Options for meals in the immediate area were also limited. There was one restaurant in walking distance, so if you don't like mexican/texmex food, you'll probably have to drive around for something else.

We were traveling from Massachusetts to South Carolina and decided not to continue driving and find a place to sleep overnight. I checked a few hotels in Roanoke. After reading many reviews - felt that the Country Inn was the best option. As soon as we walked into the lobby we were impressed with how neat and clean the lobby was. Checking in was a breeze and the desk clerk was very kind and professional. Our room was clean and bathroom was updated and also spotless. After we brought our luggage to our room we decided to eat at the restaurant in front of the hotel. As we were stepping by the front desk - my husband ask of the restaurant out front was good. The clerk responded that their food was good and thought we would like it. The next morning while checking out - the clerk asked if we liked our meal at the restaurant! She totally pays attention to your guests and she genuinely cares.

We prefer no carpets and hope that you update your rooms with laminate. I would think it would be much easier to clean as well.

Breakfast was okay but if staying multiple days could be a little boring. Very carb heavy. Options while we were there were a warm type of egg and biscuits and gravy, 2-3 cereals, waffles, bread/bagels, packaged muffins, oatmeal packets, hand fruit, yogurt, milk, and a juice machine. Only on Monday did they have hard boiled eggs in the fridge. It seemed as if once they ran out they didn’t replenish the eggs for the rest of the week. They also didn’t always replenish some items during that day’s breakfast hours (muffins, oatmeal). They had coffee and tea available all day which was nice. Facility seemed clean and friendly. Brochures and local attraction information was available in the lobby. Not sure about the cleanliness of the pool since both kids that went in ended up sick. Wi-Fi was spotty throughout the building. Seemed like wifi only worked in one half of the building.

The gym was very basic. Two treadmills and an elliptical with a bench and hands weights. Although there were towels for sweat, there were no sanitizing wipes or spray to clean any of the equipment. No equipment/ mat for stretching or yoga type activities. There was a water dispenser in the gym.

We are staying at Country Inn and Suites whenever we are in transit or for shorter stays. It is always clean and comfortable, very good value for the money. We stopped in Roanoke, VA for one night on our way to Charleston. It was a nice, relaxing stay. The breakfast was as expected, and did the job. The staff was helpful and friendly. As usual, coffee and tea were available 24/7. A great plus (that we didn't benefit from tough, because we were so tired after the 7 hours drive) was that the indoor pool was open until midnight, unheard of in other places!

Couldn't think of anything we didn't like.

Right off the highway and close to several gas stations. Very clean- the rooms, communal areas- the whole hotel. Free breakfast had a vast assortment, including hot food. First time I have seen biscuits and sausage gravy included at a hotel and it was delicious. Indoor pool and the beds were oh so comfortable. Staff was nice and professional.

Everything was great. But if I had to give a negative, it would be that the chlorine level in the pool seemed a bit higher than normal. It was causing several kids to cough after they started swimming and their eyes were visibly irritated.

One of the nicest rooms we have ever experienced. Large 'living' room AND good-sized bedroom with VERY comfortable king bedding. Excellent breakfast, with good hot eggs and waffles. Very roomy and well-designed breakfast counters, with staff on top of helping and keeping everything clean even during busy breakfast. Very good Mexican restaurant just in front of the hotel.

Very little could have been better. Maybe bananas and/or berries in addition to the delicious oranges. But that's nitpicking: we know none of the "chain" hotels that do provide such fruit. "

Room was very clean and updated. Breakfast had options and tasted good.

Breakfast needed some fruit -- even just a banana. Parking was a little confusing, as the lot is shared by other businesses and wanted to make sure we weren't infringing on business parking spots. Room refrigerator could have been colder (temperature dial was removed). Strange suggestion: could hotels close to major highways carry trial size packets of sunscreen (for driver's arms). No one does this, just an idea.

We regularly travel southbound to the US from Canada and have to stop for one night halfway. We have often had very bad surprises about the quality of the hotels, but this time it was very good. Clean rooms, clean bathroom, well maintained pool, very friendly staff, easy access from the highway. The beds were comfortable and the room well air conditioned. We highly recommend.

The floor is carpeted but not too dirty. At lunch, items were missing. But these are unimportant details.
