The location is fantastic, being only five minutes on foot from the National Mall. The breakfast is expansive. It’s also in a really safe part of the city owing to its proximity to the government buildings - I’ve seen the FBI, Secret Service and MPD on patrol on a regular basis! The room was very comfortable, and even with the train station, interstate and a fire station right next door, these were never really that much of an issue to me - I could hear them, but it didn’t prevent me from resting and relaxing. I can see other reviews said these were intrusive, so it might be louder on lower floors, but I was up on the 12th floor. Shower is nice and hot and has a solid water pressure - very refreshing!

The WiFi was very unstable in areas above the ground floor and 3rd floor lobby, often losing connection and cutting out for up to 30 minutes at a time. The hotel could do with installing some range boosters to sort this out.

The room was comfortable and clean and large enough for all 5 of us to have our own area to settle in. The housekeeping staff made the beds and changed towels every day, which was much appreciated. Although the outdoor pool is very small, the kids had fun as long as no one else was there (we could see the pool from our window, so the kids would watch for people being there). Fitness center is great. We used & enjoyed the lovely lobby area and business center to chat in the evenings. The amount and variety in the breakfast bar was amazing (LOVED the breakfast burrito bar, yogurt & fruit & toppings selection, hot food options changed every day, etc.). Valet parking service was fantastic (very friendly staff, car was available the instant we wanted it). We could see the Jefferson Memorial from our window (several blocks away) and we were a 10-20 minute walk from everything we wanted to see.

Although a good idea for saving space, the sliding door on the bathroom was translucent, which is problematic for turning on the light in the bathroom while others are sleeping and is very uncomfortable as people can kind of see into the bathroom (as a mom traveling with 4 boys, this was awkward for me). Pool was very small (but still fun).

The staff was comprised of 80% AMAZING and 20% overwhelmed/going through the motions. I’ve worked in hotels over a decade and the 80% were such wonderful people. They connected with you and your kids and were genuinely warm people. Shower head pressure was awesome. My son liked seeing the fire trucks from the window. One block from St. Dominic’s Church was a pleasant surprise.

Work on reengaging the few team members who had a salty vibe. The facility also appears shabby and many things are on the verge of breaking. You can barely close the bathroom door, things are rusty in the shower. Not enough lobby staff Thursday evening checkin. It was a zoo in the lobby and no organization – hard to figure out who’s in line to check in. The sole front desk agent had the presence of mind to pre fill ticket packets for a group checking in. If not for that, it would have been a complete disaster and we probably would have checked out before checking in and gone elsewhere. Mattress too firm. Transportation around the area’s sights would be much appreciated and something we could have paid for. Maybe a shuttle.

Location! It is some few blocks from the National Mall (Capitol) and you can easily walk until there and knew this place and the museums around it (which are greatly free). You`ll have two subway stations near the hotel which makes you arrive easily to the hotel from the Dulles Airport ($6.50 the ticket - Lèffant Plaza and Capitol Center). The staff was very attentive and also speaks spanish. The room was very good and the heating system worked well. A tip is use the google maps to do the subway routs inside the city. It worked very well from the hotel.

The hotel also charged a Occupancy tax ($ 23.00) that was not specified during the reservation. Would be very nice if the hotel and booking specify all the tax that will be charged.

Good location. Reasonably good breakfast (nice that is has a bit of daily rotation). Comfortable beds and responsive heating and air conditioning. Breakfast was quiet at 0630, but definitely got busy later one. Overall, would stay again.

Someone vomited in the ground floor entryway on Monday and even though it was cleaned away, the smell lingered there and in one of the elevators until a deep clean on Friday — Really not acceptable. Fellow traveller saw a roach in the elevator (but I did not see any in the rooms). After staying a week, they wanted 50 USD to extend checkout to 2pm, which left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth after already having given them so much money.

Accommodating, clean room and bathroom/ shower for family. A complete breakfast included each morning with a welcoming staff. Best of all the location enabled us to walk to all museums and restaurants/attractions, as was close to Mall and Wharf. Didn’t even need Metro. Also, appreciated the prompt response of staff when need of blanket for sofa bed.

I would like coffee in lobby outside of breakfast hours, but i understand there is a bar trying to sell Starbucks products. Perhaps one regular complimentary coffee (or two) on check in would be a great promotion. The highway view was odd, but I actually liked it as a novelty.

The hotel's location is excellent, close to the main tourist attractions. The room is comfortable. Check-in and check-out were quick.

The service, especially in the restaurant, is poor. The staff seem unwilling to assist. On the first day, one of them threw some crumpled ketchup and mustard packets onto the table. On the second day, at 9 PM, the kitchen was closed and would take 20 minutes to reopen. Additionally, there is only one bar next to the check-in desk that is open. The main restaurant was closed. I tried to pay with Wise (Visa), but it didn’t work—the system couldn’t process the payment. I attempted both electronic wallet and physical card, but neither worked.

The location is good and the rooms are spacious and have nice view of the city

First Hotel breakfast in the US and probably the last, what a disappointment! For such a big hotel the breakfast area was probably too small that it was crowded all the time, it was hard to find a free spot every time. Once you found one, you felt relieved because you thought now time to go choose the breakfast meals and guess what? Next bigger disappointment: no variety at all, you had to cue in long line just to find literally a small bowl with some slices of one or two fruits and then continue in the line waiting for next the 2-3 containers of fries, scrambled eggs, bacon and maybe gravy sauce that were generally emptied right away due to the big amount of people. So you had to wait until they refilled it, from a window. It was probably the closest to communism I have experienced.

It was a perfect base for touring the Smithsonian Museum. In particular, the Air and Space Museum was the closest, about a 5-minute walk away. There are few food shops around the hotel. A light snack is fine, but if you want a proper dinner, you'll need to head into town. The subway station is also about 5 minutes walk. This hotel is perfect for sightseeing. There was no microwave in the room we stayed in, but there was one in the restaurant on the 3rd floor. There was an additional charge of $55 per day for parking. We are Japanese and are not good at English, but the hotel was convenient for sightseeing.
