La Quinta by Wyndham Auburn

Nicest La Quinta ever stayed at. We always stay at La Quinta for good hot free breakfast and free parking. All staff was exceptionally friendly, especially Nixon who works night shift. Room was very nice and clean. Very quiet, good for our family vacation. Indoor pool and spa was nice. If we ever go back to Seattle/Auburn, will definitely stay here again.

I wish there was more than one elevator but it moved quickly and never broke down. I wish the parking spaces were larger but small parking spaces are the norm in Seattle/Washington in general. No big deal.

I really loved the security of this location. To use the pool, the fitness center, even to get ice, you needed your room card, so I felt a little safer. Breakfast was great, and I liked that there was always something a little different every day. There was plenty of seats, and the staff was quick to refill any water or coffee. Every front desk staff I talked to during the stay were also amazingly friendly, and they asked how the concert was (we went to see Ghost.) The location is great because it's right next to a Denny's and Jack in the Box so we didn't have to worry about paying for DoorDash.

Our room had a strange wet smell. I assumed it was because the carpet got wet because of the pool downstairs, and people don't care about dripping on the floor? Even opening the windows didn't seem to help. Also, the carpets *really* needed to be shampooed, steamed, or something. Every pair of socks we wore got so stained, it was kind of gross.

The staff is extremely friendly, attentive, and helpful. We had our two dogs with us and they were very engaged in ensuring the dogs were comfortable and greeted them at every occasion they came through the lobby. Desk check-in and check-out was a snap. Excellent breakfast (from 6am-10am) with eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, yogurt and 24X7 coffee. Indoor pool and hot tub, I only wish I'd remembered my swimsuit, A great outlet mall a mile away w/ high speed charge stations for our EV and great restaurant recommendations from the staff. Many choices close by. Because we had dogs, they booked us into a King Disability room with hardwood flooring and it was extremely roomy. The dogs love the cool of the hardwood floor after a long day showing off at the Celtic Kennel at the Seattle Highland Games!

Walls between the rooms are a little thin and the room next to us was a bit noisy and raucous one night but at least not too late, gave up about 11pm. We didn't bother complaining because we hadn't gone to bed and we felt they would have quieted down if we'd knocked on their door or called the front desk to intervene so won't ding them for this.

It was fairly accessible from the freeway, well lit, and the room was spacious. The room was fairly well laid out and was perfect for my wife and the kids to have plenty of room to spread out and chill. Breakfast was surprisingly good for continental breakfasts and the breakfast staff and housekeepers were pleasant and prompt when I asked for towels or another pillow.

I needed to change my plans due to a family emergency to reduce my stay by one day. It was during SeaFair and they were stating they were sold out, so I had assumed that having a room free up for a night would allow them to rent that out. However, the property was not willing to work with Booking.com to allow me to make the change, or myself as a Wyndham Rewards gold holder. I ended up having to pay for an extra night and have my plans changed when they could have easily sold the room I wanted to vacate one day early in a 5 night stay to head to another La Quinta property near the family with medical issues.

The room was bigger then I expected and very comfortable. Definitely loved being at the end of the hall next to the ice machine. Our bathroom fan didn’t work but we didn’t really need it. Close to fast foods, gas stations, and dining. Wish we didn’t have to leave in a hurry we couldn’t enjoy their breakfast. Felt bad I didn’t have time to put the pull out bed back to how it as we arranged the room to child proof our wild 1yr old. Other then that was a great stay will definitely stay here again!

The builder of the bathroom vanity must have been a giant. The countertop comes up Toronto cage! I am unable to lean over the sink, so water seeps over to the upper front of my clothing. The TV set-up just uses symbols. I finally found the guide on the tv, but most of the channels listed were not available. Punching in the number of a channel did NOT take me to that channel! But thank you for having at least one PBS channel. You need to have an end table next to the upholstered chair to set a drink on instead of the floor! Oh, and the upholstered chair had a narrow seat and was not comfortable. Get rid of that chair!

The location was easy to get to and the town as pleasant. Quite overly special, but a perfect central area to our times in Seattle and at Mount Rainier. Staff easy to find and very helpful! Thank you so much!

I think it’s a good idea to replace the chair at the table in room 208. It works fine but looks kind of bad. It would be nice if you could add one type of multi grain or whole wheat bread to the toast options. You had was very tasty but what you had to was very tasty. Thanks! Parking was difficult when we arrived at about 10 PM. Front lot completely full and back lot had so many 18 wheeler type trucks taken up the spaces. We felt nervous parking between a few trucks that we are at risk of getting our car scratched. Turned out OK but was a small problem.

The hotel is really good and comfortable. The bedroom was large and clean. We really enjoyed breakfast and and the vending they have at the lobby. The kitchen in the bedroom is a nice extra with a large fridge. There is easy access to restaurants and highways.

Price was a bit on the high side for what we got. The bed was a bit on the soft side (a bit of nitpicking) and there was renovations going on, which is understandable, but a bit of an inconvenience. If you're staying here for Seattle, keep in mind it's half an hour away from downtown, but it was really easy to get there and back.

For the price and location, we felt like this was a fair deal that met all our expectations and we enjoyed our stay. Beds were VERY comfortable and we had many different pillows to choose from, hotel breakfast provided was suitable, customer service was exceptional, spacious bathroom, and we were accommodated with our pet. We had just moved from overseas and felt everyone really tried to help us enjoy our stay. We always saw the maids out cleaning. Breakfast tables were constantly serviced and the buffet was kept neat. They also had carts available to assist with transporting all our luggage.

Hot tub was broken, unfortunately. This was one of the reasons we booked this hotel so we were a little bummed to find out we couldn't use it. Gym was dirty and very small without floor space to workout. There is an odd setup in the rooms with the microwave and fridge being inside the dresser... ? why? fire hazard..? Also, this made it a little challenging to access the appliances and reduced storage space for our use.

We were put on the second floor, which felt much safer at the end of the hall. There was quiet a bit of noise here due to the being located next to the stairs.

Unfortunately there is a grassy area off the freeway next very close to the hotel where homeless are begging and living. The final morning around 5 am I was woke by a man screaming profanities in the parking lot and as we were leaving there was a man with his pants around his ankles dancing in the parking lot on drugs.
