Inn at Discovery Coast

Loved the pool with adult hours, the spa with talented massage therapists, and the great pet friendly room we stayed in. The location is fantastic, a short walk to the incredible beach. Very quiet and peaceful stay. The restaurant on site is GREAT as well with incredible views. Felt very comfortable and greatly enjoyed the stay. Excellent large bath with jets and everything, very nice. The shower was also nice.

It wasn't clear to me that we needed to check in at the Adrift Hotel, but that wasn't a big deal. The two places are very linked together. Note that there is no elevator to the 2nd floor of the pool building (where we stayed with our dog). Not a problem for us but could be for some people.

We had trouble with the heat and the gas fire place but belived it was just our inexperince with every modern appliance. We are farm folk and have never been in such a 'modern' room. Rather amazed and charmed by it all really. And the room was so clean, must be an extraordinary woman and a fine worker you have in her. Someone to value. Best was the view and the location away from other buildings. Sunset and moon set were beyond priceless. the young man who checked us in was happy and pleasent and was a perfect start to our 50th anniversary.

We have never been around a gas fireplace or the heater with the thing on the wall, totally confused by it but it turned out to be ok as most things do. We laughted at our wondering how to use a micro-wave oven and the jet bath was great and gave us a great thrill and laughter at its power once we figuered it out. Never have had a tv so we passed on that. We didn't like leaving.

The view from the third floor corner room was incredible. We enjoyed room service several times, and also grabbed snacks and drinks from the lobby. The ease of access to the beach can’t be beat, and we also spent part of our trip driving into Astoria and down the Oregon coast. Our interactions with staff were always positive.

There were no deal-breakers, just a few feedback items. Noise can carry from the main hotel property to the room; this was noticeable as there was a sizable party taking place at the Adrift gathering space. Some of our room service and amenity items were seemingly forgotten outside the door after housekeeping cleaned up the first day, but since those items were all outside, it wasn’t a big deal for us. The room below us left their bathroom fan on the entire day—however, the sound was only noticeable in our bathroom, not the living space.

The room was comfortable. Great wi fi, excellent in room jacuzzi, excellent pool and sauna. The restaurant had a great view and the staff was very nice and accommodating. The beach had multiple bike and walking paths and was very uncrowded. Fantastic if you're traveling with your pup. TV was outstanding!!

The room was small and crowded with appliances. The chairs could have been more comfortable, and there was only a very small table to put down your laptop. To be fair we stayed in winter and were unable to use the outside enclosed patio which would have easily doubled our space. In the summer the size of the room wouldn't matter as you could spend more time away from the room at the beach, in town, biking, hiking etc.

The room was extremely clean, comfortable, and cozy. The view of the sand dunes with the ocean as a backdrop was breathtaking. The bathroom was perfectly appointed with all imaginable sundries provided and the dual headed shower was accented well. Unit location on the Adrift hotel property was isolated enough to invoke a secluded feeling while close enough to make trips to the front desk and the restaurant a short walk. The staff was exceedingly polite, approachable, and accommodating. The easily accessible 8 mile Discovery trail close by parallels the beach and is perfect for walks and bike rides.

There was no exterior signage directing guests to trail and beach access so picking a random path resulted in meandering which is not a bad thing but may irritate some. Tourism bureau had no literature onsite promoting local services like grocery, banking, attractions etc.... The local McDonald's was the only option for DoorDash service. Late night food offerings were greatly lacking in availability but expected with a small tourist town.

It’s very modern and up to date. Clean and extremely comfortable. It’s pet friendly so there were fur babies everywhere to visit with & will come in handy for future visits with out fur babies. The ambiance, lighting and comfort overall of the room was perfect! My favorite hotel stay by far!

The “ocean view” that it says on all the rooms I viewed wasn’t really an ocean view. But the room made up for it. The fireplace didn’t work and it was freezing when we arrived and then it was hot all night because it wouldn’t shut off.

View! Saunas, proximity to town and dining options, boardwalk, beach, complimentary bikes, pet friendly, whirlpool tub and comfortable mattress/ bedding.

The only thing- our door didn’t seal and since it was very very windy it whistled loudly through the door bottom. You could feel the cold floor at the door bottom. We were able to stuff something at the bottom to alleviate this.

The deck and being out closer to the dune made it more peaceful. Usually I stay at The Adrift.

The gas fireplace is a good idea but I didn’t feel comfortable messing with the buttons even though the pilot light was on. The instructions were on a metal card chained to foot of stove on the floor. I couldn’t read it. Suggest putting instructions at eye level.

We loved the interior of the room and the fact that it was so spacious. We loved the tub and the fireplace. We liked that it was on the ground floor with a separate entrance for our dogs.

We didn’t get the view we expected. We were put in a beach house cottage room with a very indirect, very distant, small view of the ocean. The listing was quite misleading. Thankfully the large, quiet room made up for the zero ocean view. We loved the bikes and the amenities in the lobby are delightful.

Location is great. The hotel is a short walk to the beach, boardwalk, trail, and main retail strip. The hotel shares amenities with the Adrift Hotel. Free coffee, tea, and bike rentals in the lobby. The food at the Pickled Fish was good. The room was big. The jetted tub and toiletries were nice. The hotel also owns the nearby distillery (free tastings). The lobby also has a fridge where you can buy some nice wines and craft cider/beer.

We stayed in the building above the pool and could hear everything through the walls and from the pool below. Luckily our neighbors weren't too noisy. This building has all the pet friendly rooms, but there are no pet specific amenities provided. The ice machine is in a different building. The finish details in the room are a little rough. For the price, I don't think it's the best value but it was the nicest place to stay in the area.
