I liked the customer service that I received from the ladies at the front desk. They were very polite, helpful, and kind. They were very understanding about us having to check out 1 day early because I forgot to pack my bag of clothes.

I didn't like that all I saw out the window was unruly bushes and no ocean. Also, the "continental breakfast" wasn't as big as the photos on their website were. It was very limited. The children's toy area and the plants took up a lot of space. Also, the handicapped accessible entrance was blocked and the other entrance was too skinny for my walker. The desk lady helped me by opening the door.

The owner was very kind and helpful. My husband is disabled and there was an elevator for the upper floors. The access to the beach and the shops were just a short walk. The room had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable. There is a single cup coffee maker in the room and a mini refrigerator. The coffee provided was good. She also has a Keurig machine in the lobby and delicious cookies.

Housekeeping wasn't provided daily during our stay but anything we needed was provided when we requested it. I am not sure if you have to request daily housekeeping if you want it. It wasn't a big deal for us.

The location is the best in town for beach access, literally at the entrance to the beach. The main street with restaurant and shops are at the end of the hotel's entrance. Once parked, you really have no need to drive anywhere. The room was huge, up to date, comfy and clean. Check in was incredibly fast when I showed up on time and the staff was very nice.

The only thing which is minor when staying in a hotel was the sounds coming from the room above, ex// suitcases rolling, foot steps, doors slamming, etc. however, that is really no fault to the hotel itself. It is an older renovated building, so sounds are bound to travel. If you are sensitive, request to be on the upper floor.

The staff were all super friendly, the room was perfectly clean, and the view was AMAZING! And the biggest bonus, it was AFFORDABLE!! Couldn't have asked for a better stay!

The only MINOR issue was the shower pressure. The bathroom sink had almost too much pressure, but the shower didn't have much pressure at all. I informed the front desk of this when I was checking out and they were so kind about it. They updated their rooms recently and have had a few hiccups with the pressure in a few rooms. Not a huge deal, but I have no doubt the next time we stay there, it will be perfect across the board!

Overall I liked everything. The room was spacious and clean and comfortable. The check-in was quick and easy. You can walk the shops within a half a mile, there is a great ice cream / confection business within a block. The beach is within a half mile walk.

I paid for an ocean view and I saw a partial view of a tree in the middle so I got a little bit on the right and a little bit on the left as far as a view goes, a bit disappointing And I'm not sure if I missed it, but I did not see anywhere where they offered coffee / tea, that would have been nice to have when I left early the next morning.

The room was very clean and up to date. All the staff was very friendly and helpful. Everyone from the front desk person to the maintenance person and the person cleaning my room was very nice and respectful.

The only thing that could have been better was the bed. After sleeping on it for two nights my lower back was stiff when first waking up in the morning. The bed was too firm and needed like a topper on it to make it more comfortable or something like that.

The room was large clean and well appointed the view was very nice we saw deer from our window and the ocean beyond. The elevator was a god send for the wife who has a bad hip. The staff was very cheery and helpful recommending a great restaurant and making sure we knew anything important. The parking was close (I drive a classic car so this was very important)

As always with motel/hotels the TV channels sucked but thats not on the Motel

This is the third time I believe we have stayed at this property. Christina the manager was delightful! We really enjoyed our stay and chatting with her in the mornings when we went to the office to get muffins and doughnuts. She also suggested some really good places to eat! We visited the Silver Salmon in Astoria for happy hour and appetizers and they were very very good and reasonably priced! Overall a very good experience and will likely stay again.

Great idea would be to put in sliders and pour a patio on the ground floor so could sit out there at night. Would be fairly inexpensive as far as hotel updates go and would also increase the desirability of the ground floor rooms since do not have a view. Otherwise, everything else was really good! Especially the beds. Sheets were some of the softest I have ever slept in and beds very comfortable.

We are a bikepacking couple that needed to take shelter from some bad weather. As soon as we arrived, Christina made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us (coffee and cookies at reception were a bonus too). The rooms are very clean, quiet and comfortable with plenty of space (big enough for both our bikes and bags) and the addition of some lovely complementary cosmetics and coffee. We had a fabulous view of the sea from our room on the 3rd floor. It's an ideal spot to wander to the beach or down the street to some nice the eateries and bars. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night :)

Nothing not to like.

The staff was very friendly. We left our keys in the room and had to ring her up after hours and she was so kind! Clean, comfortable and even though full, it was quiet! View was wonderful. We watched a deer family searching for breakfast from our room. The location was the best, we walked everywhere! I have stayed here for many years and will continue to do so. This is not the Ritz, but well maintained and updated.
