Oceanview Inn at the Arch

This is the third time I believe we have stayed at this property. Christina the manager was delightful! We really enjoyed our stay and chatting with her in the mornings when we went to the office to get muffins and doughnuts. She also suggested some really good places to eat! We visited the Silver Salmon in Astoria for happy hour and appetizers and they were very very good and reasonably priced! Overall a very good experience and will likely stay again.

Great idea would be to put in sliders and pour a patio on the ground floor so could sit out there at night. Would be fairly inexpensive as far as hotel updates go and would also increase the desirability of the ground floor rooms since do not have a view. Otherwise, everything else was really good! Especially the beds. Sheets were some of the softest I have ever slept in and beds very comfortable.

We are a bikepacking couple that needed to take shelter from some bad weather. As soon as we arrived, Christina made us feel very welcome and couldn't do enough for us (coffee and cookies at reception were a bonus too). The rooms are very clean, quiet and comfortable with plenty of space (big enough for both our bikes and bags) and the addition of some lovely complementary cosmetics and coffee. We had a fabulous view of the sea from our room on the 3rd floor. It's an ideal spot to wander to the beach or down the street to some nice the eateries and bars. We liked it so much we stayed an extra night :)

Nothing not to like.

Location can’t be beat! Oceanview Inn is within easy walking distance to downtown shopping, restaurants and the beach. The front desk staff is very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in an ocean view and a non ocean view and both rooms were excellent. This is a pet friendly inn so if you have a pet, this is perfect. We don’t have a pet, so I would notice any pet odors. None! Super clean and a place we plan to stay again. We’ve already stayed twice this summer! I appreciate the LVP flooring since sand on everything is just the reality. The inn provides all the necessities such as soap, shampoo, conditioner and plenty of towels. Don’t hesitate to book here!

Location, location. Always had parking but the lot was a little tight for bigger vehicles if you came in later, the room was super cute and nice and clean. A/C worked great and got a great breeze when we opened the window. Never ran out of hot water. Wished they would of had regular cups that go in microwave to heat water and maybe some tea. Did have coffee and mini muffins in main office . We did not see tea in the main office. Staff really nice and laid back.

Their parking lot was a little tight for bigger vehicles. Other than that their was always parking. Beds were a tad hard and pillows were hard. I myself did not care since at the end of day was very tired from being on the beach and hiking and walking all day. My husband and kids on the other hand had a hard time sleeping because beds are very hard and so are pillows.

It was very clean very well kept, and I was amazed at how quiet it was for being right on the strip to go down to the beach.

The only thing that I didn’t care much for is it was very very sandy in our room. There was sand in our beds. The floor had a lot of sand which I get since we were right on the beach and that could’ve been why. I’ve never stayed in a property that close on the beach before but there seemed to be a lot of sand in our rooms for as clean as our rooms seemed to be.

I just can’t say enough about the location! It’s right next to the entrance of the beach and down the street is Scoopers if you want to grab ice cream, or the restaurant nearby serves the best clam chowder around. It’s not too far from the bakery either, great to get coffee in the morning. The rooms are a good size, has fridge, tv, private bathroom, and you might get lucky enough to score a beautiful ocean view! This is our family’s first choice when coming to Long Beach. Great value for the cost and very friendly staff.

I have stayed here several times and have always found our stay enjoyable, no complaints.

Awesome view! price was $140 for day of reservation so cant complain there. was a random idea to go to the beach. location was spot on. close to everything def recommend the bakery for breakfast and lunch. (bakery opens at 4am)

Only thing that was kind of lame was that everything closes pretty early and opens a little late. not much else on the dislike tab of things. just not much entertainment for small children past 5. the arcade is open till 9 but not everyone wants to spend money on games on a vacation.

Just fine. As expected for last minute and I"ll stay here again, nice staff, right on the walkway to the beach. It was quiet, roomy and comfortable.

The laminate floor boards are great toe stubbers. It seems as though they were flooded, or poorly adhered down. Not a deal breaker. I asked to see a third floor room in case I want to upgrade with family members (nice) but the laminate floor boards were exactly as bad as the first floor boards. I"m sorry they got a bad deal on flooring.

Liked that beds and that even though it was not a wheelchair room.. their was enough space for the wheelchair and equipment needed to get him in and out of bed.. the set up was nice.. like the fridge with freezer very much..hold more thank I thought.. liked the bathroom set up things were easy to locate ..towels, TV remote, hangers.. soap ..real comfortable set up. Couldn't hear neighboring rooms was not bothered by any sort of noise.. windows open wide for fresh air.. nice air-conditioning / heat unit.. two big mirrors

Was hard to get in and out of elevator with the wheelchair because that is also where the luggage carts go. Sink faucet was pretty but also made a mess on counter when trying to use it

Staff was nice. Room was good sized, beds were a little hard but in good shape. Wifi was very good. See Motel is close to the beach and downtown.

Hot water was in short supply, in the 2 days we were there I got one hot shower the rest were warm or downright chilly. The towels are all kind of a uniform dingy grey and could benefit from a dose of bleach once in a while. Both headboards had full on hand prints on them from people bracing themselves if you know what I mean. The "Ocean View" from the second floor turned out to be a peek at the water through the dense brush and trees growing in the sand in front of our room. I suggest that if you want a real view you request a 3rd floor room.
