Overall the room was great for our family. The separate bedrooms and living room allowed our youngest to take normal naps while everyone else could still be in the other part of the room. With the kitchen it allowed us to have more meals at the room and/or order food in. Location and access to the beach was very nice.

We did have some issues with the internet and not being able to access some of the apps on the smart tv (netflix). Overall the pool was nice, but my kids didn't like that the hot tub was only for those 14 years or older. Even no one else was in the pool area, they weren't allowed.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Canterbury Inn in Ocean Shore, WA, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with warmth and genuine hospitality that made me feel right at home. At that first step inside the lobby, a wonderful scent fills the air of cleanliness and pride. You can just tell how much the staff and owners care about this establishment built in 1966 and their drive to provide patrons the best possible ocean side experience! The rooms were impeccably clean and beautifully decorated, exuding a cozy yet elegant charm. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, from the plush bedding to the tasteful furnishings. It was nice to have separate areas in the room for our family to mingle given the common area with dining room and kitchen on one side and the bedroom with 2 queen beds on the other side joined with a small hallway or foyer. It was clear in the room as well that the staff takes immense pride in maintaining a high standard of comfort and aesthetics not to mention the cute charm the private owners instill into the room with furniture choices. What stood out the most, however, was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect. Whether it was providing local recommendations, accommodating special requests, or simply offering a friendly smile, they consistently exceeded my expectations. They even provided a doggie bowl welcome on our kitchen counter for our sweet Jack Russell! Their dedication to guest satisfaction was truly remarkable! The Canterbury Inn also boasts a serene and picturesque location near the beach, providing a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The lush sand dune gardens and inviting common areas were perfect for relaxing and unwinding as well as a few deer visitors each day. In summary, my stay at the Canterbury Inn was nothing short of extraordinary.

Nothing to the fault of the property however the weather did not cooperate with us for our normal beach visit to enjoy playing in the sand with our boys. That being said, the town of Ocean Shores matched with our stay at the Canterbury Inn made up for the rain and made our stay more enjoyable with visits to the indoor pool at the Inn provided too. The cool weather made the room comfortable as well since it does not have an A/C but we knew this going in. The Canterbury also provides a box fan to help circulate air throughout the room which does not take long to remove any stuffiness and makes it very comfortable.

Thematic decor, nicely put together. Comfy furniture, great personal spa tub. I love there are not limited hours for tub jets... Wish I could have stayed longer. Loved the USB port on the alarm clock so I could play music and charge my device at the same time.

The room was lovely, however since it was on the parking lot side, it felt very exposed with curtains open, not only to parking patrons but to the building windows as well... And then it was very dark with them closed. Perhaps add sheer curtains under the black-out drapes, so we can enjoy natural light and privacy during the day?

The Canterbury Inn is a beautiful peppery and well taken care of. There are 45 individual units that are owned by 43 different that are rented out. Each room is decorated slightly differently based on the owners added touch. We had a bottom room and dog friendly (even though we didn’t bring our dog) BUT it is nice to know for longer stays in the future. Also, having a family it was so amazing to have a full functioning kitchen. The indoor pool was a must for our little ones, it was clean and everyone who was in the pool was respectful! The green grass behind the hotel was an awesome place to walk/run, play (we brought bubbles) and just enjoy the fresh air!! Thank you for an amazing quick stay.

We tried to access the beach from the hotel via labeled trail to beach and it was not accessible. There was extreme mud, big pools of water to big to leap over. I was under the impression that the beach was easily accessible and it wasn’t. So we ended up going to a drive and entering via road to beach. I read this isn’t Canterbury’s responsibility, but the city of ocean shores to take care of this, I just felt the easy beach access was not easy.

EVERYTHING! This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed at, with a surprisingly affordable price! The room was more like a mini condo. In addition to the bedroom with 2 very comfortable Queen beds, nice dresser, and a t.v., nice sized bathroom. It also had a full kitchen with all standard appliances, including pots and pans, a good-sized living room with a very comfortable sofa bed, 2 winged back chairs, coffee table and end tables, a fireplace and a full sized balcony! It was so wonderfully decorated as well! VERY CLEAN! The lobby was also very clean and tastefully decorated. There was a second lobby for hotel guests to use that had 2 comfortable winged back chairs, an end table and a HUGE flat screen t.v. In that room there was an office syle water coolers with a choice of hot/cold water. Staff was excellent!! And the hotel had a path to the Beach as well! Found a Pearl on the Beach, and it was this place.

There was not a thing to dislike!!

Everything the staff the quiet room and just how clean everything was not just my room but the whole building I was amazed with everything and I was treated with respect and kindness this hotel is by far the best one I've ever checked into every other hotel I've been to and ive checked into hotels all over the us the staff anf employees would give me weird looks and look at me like what is he doing here I wasn't viewed that way here i was treated like an adult and fair like everyone else it made my stay more comfortable im truly grateful i checked into this place finally was given the respect i deserved.

The rooms are spacious and well furnished like a condo, and the location is perfect with close access points to the beach as well as the local restaurants and shops. This will likely be my go-to for future trips to Ocean Shores.

Having the room right above the main lobby/office was less than ideal, and the personal spa in the bedroom had a little dust, hair, & debris from prior use. I just ran it once to flush it out and wiped down the inside with sanitizer afterward before using it.

We stayed in a Pet Friendly room, quick weekend at ocean and that room was available and at a very good price. They think of everything when it comes to pets. The wood floors, no carpet, special water/ food dish a dog treat, dog towels, and a blanket for fur baby to lay on. We did not have a dog and was worried about odors, and fleas, there was no problem with that. If I did have a dog, this would be a great place to bring one. Our room was first floor studio, with kitchenette, small bathroom, and shower was nice. Patio leading to park like setting. Dogs on leashes, not too much barking. People and dogs seem to be very respectful to other guests without pets. Very accommodating staff. This is our favorite stay at Ocean Shores.

I prefer the suites with carpet, and no pets. It's more cozy for me. There was a bit more neighbor noise, next door and up above but that was taken care of when we notified the front desk. Jacuzzi area was being updated, but pool was open. I knew that when we booked and they also gave us a courtesy call to let us know about the construction.

Our room had a blue and grey Octopus theme! It was so very relaxing. View of the dunes and beach from the bed! We saw amazing sunsets and beautiful sunrises. It was a "dog friendly" room with bowls, towels and bedding for a pet. (we didn't have one) The kitchenette was well supplied. - The Staff is super friendly and called to let us know the hot tub/ spa wasn't going to be available and asked if we wanted to change our reservation... it was very thoughtful.

The only thing I would change about the room is to put a pocket door in to the bathroom. It was a little cramped with the door.

I like that the hotel is easy to find. It’s close to lots of places (stores, restaurants, shops, etc) walking/trail access from the hotel to the beach. Easy beach access to drive on the beach. Hotel is nice and clean. Great staff. The room was clean and modern. Unlike a lot of hotels.

I understand it’s a family hotel. But I didn’t like how parents were letting their kids scream and shout when playing outside. I thought it was inconsiderate for others who are sleeping in or wanting to relax. So I think there should be a sign for kids to not be so loud. I like the lounge area they have outside but I think they should have 2 more for families who want to barbecue or hang out.
