The building is beautiful. The decor was lovely and different. The room was comfortable. The outdoor table and chairs were nice. The staff was friendly and helpful.

When I booked and before I checked in, I didn't know the doors locked at 10pm. When I first arrived and wanted to check in it was after 11pm so I had to call the hotel to learn what door to go to so someone could let me in. It all worked out, but I was nervous for a few minutes, wondering if I had a place to stay.

Everything about this hotel was amazing! Every single staff member from check in to housekeeping staff passed in the halls to even staff at the restaurants were friendly, engaging, seemed genuinely happy to be there. The hotel is so clean, and everything smells fresh, clean and inviting. The furniture is beautiful and elegant, but also comfortable and accessible. I love that you have to have a room key to access the floors of the hotel where there are rooms. That keeps visitors to the bar or restaurant from wandering up to rooms. The game room in the basement is AMAZING! jumbo-sized backgammon, chess, connect 4, tic tac toe and scrabble. Regular sized dominos (though they were leather and lovely). We spent hours in the game room as a family every night. Right across the street is Scoops ice cream and candy shop. It's walking distance to anywhere you want to go, and is just half a mile from the harbor boardwalk and the large Saturday farmer's market! Very close to the dinosaur museum. Free parking in the church parking lot across the street was nice as well. The front porch was beautiful and comfortable.

I would have enjoyed having access to a pool, but there was so much to do that we didn't miss it. The beach was close and very accessible that we just went to the beach once or twice every day to get some swim time.

Building is incredibly cool. Rooms are well taken care of. Staff very much cares and are there to help. There's 2 separate bars and a cafe. Plenty of parking in a couple different lots. The rooftop bar is a cool idea and more tailored toward a younger crowd. The bar inside the restaurant (the 1844) seems to be tailored to an older crowd. Oh! And the lobby has some new but vintage influenced... I don't know... almost like Alice in Wonderland furniture. It's pretty rad. We were in town for the 2022 AMC Reunion and you couldn't have asked for a better location. We were able to just walk over to Kennedy Park down the shoreline.

Our room was right next to the staircase. Which is no big deal, but at one point kids were playing/screaming in it. Let the front desk know, they took care of it immediately. There wasn't much to dislike really. The rooftop bar wasn't really for us. It was cool to look out over the area up there, but the music selection was just...really really bad. That's barely a complaint, though. That's just me not liking certain tunes. Most folks are going to really enjoy it up there.

Convenient location.... nice setting

The coffee was not real good..... and served in paper cups; real mugs would have been nice. The coffee serving staff was a bit crumpy, had the feeling I was an inconvenience to her. ...... And there was not really a good breakfast with eggs, bacon, etc. available. The breakfast cafe could be improved upon.

The building is beautiful and the staff was excellent.

It seems most hotels now offer a complimentary coffee bar, I did not like having to wait in line behind food orders and then having to guess how much cream and sugar I would like in their coffee. It would have been much easier and quicker to make it myself to my taste.

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was clean and very nicely decorated and was conveniently located. Street parking was convenient and close by. Dinner at the restaurant in the hotel was excellent.

As with many facilities, lighting near the bed was poorly set up for reading. Ideally, each bed should have a dedicated light or two that allow reading at bedtime. Not a major deal, but those of us who like to read at bedtime greatly appreciate convenient lighting.

We were in town for a family event and this was a good location for us to explore downtown Kenosha. The hotel is unique in that it's in a historic building and nicely decorated. The staff was friendly, the parking free (on the street, and in a nearby lot), the WI-Fi good, and the room comfortable.

It's expensive for what is offered. Breakfast is not included in the price. It was difficult to control the air conditioning and the room was chilly.

Everything was excellent. Breakfast was ok. The front desk clerk was super nice. He really was the only one that kept asking how we we're doing and is everything ok. I don't know if he is the manager or not but he deserves a raise.

Only thing I think they need to try is free breakfast sometimes. It's not a whole lot of variety of different items to choose from

Loved the history of the building, the beautiful and funky decor, and the ballroom - wow! Modern room amenities and decor that didn’t feel cookie cutter or stark. Personality - the Stella is bursting with class and personality! Fun and beautiful.

I DID wish breakfast was included, and I didn’t like that powdered creamer was my only option for in room coffee. It WAS, however, a good Keurig brewer not a cheap knock off.

It was very clean overall. The room was pretty nice for the price I paid. This was the only hotel that was reasonably priced in 50 miles (I was going to a concert in East Troy,Wi)

You can hear outside the hallways so it can get a bit noisy.
