Everything was neat and clean

We were told when we booked that we could use the spa with a $40 day pass on the day we didnt have services. When we got there we were told no, it was full. Then when we stopped in the next morning to see if anyone had possibly canceled and they might have room for 3 of us, we were told they don't do day passes on Saturday ever, then when we checked out after our services on Sunday, we were told we could have used the spa on Saturday. When someone is checking in and they are going to be there for Saturday, the spa needs to be clear that there is no availability on Saturday.

Great location, very nice resort for families, couples, any type of travellers. We enjoyed the adult only spa, drinks at the bar and board games. The resort is a short drive from downtown. The room was spacious for two, there was a mini fridge and complimentary water, coffee and tea. The spa provided slippers, robes and towels, that was really nice to have!

On demand movies were ridiculously expensive, $19.99 plus tax per movie, that’s double what I pay for my monthly Disney subscription. The spa hours could have been a bit longer, they close at 7 pm, also the water in the hot tub in the evening around 5.30-6 pm was cold!

The location is right next to the lake and had a lot of onsite eating and entertainment options. Everything is connected and you don't need to go outside to get to anywhere in the resort. The Spa was exceptional. They took my pre trip preferences seriously and got me a room near the spa so everything was very convenient. The staff was kind and I felt very safe during my stay. Everyone was professional and made sure I had everything I needed. The grounds are gorgeous and there's plenty of outside seating. I checked out a bicycle and explored the area. The pool and hot tub areas were very nice and spacious. The gym was very modern and had a good variety of equipment. My room was quiet and I didn't hear my neighbors. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure was excellent. Each day the cleaning service did a great job of restocking and making up the room. I never ran out of anything. I had a very good first time stay and plan on returning.

The onsite yoga classes are no longer offered. I would have liked to have this updated on the website before coming so I could have made other arrangements.

Great amenities at the resort and the staff was very helpful. Plenty of good food and beverage options. Perfect location minutes walk from the lake and beach. Although breakfast wasn’t included the buffet was reasonably priced and very good food options.

Room was generally clean but there was an empty beer can and plastic container between the bed and night stand and we were missing fresh coffee cups so could pay more attention to detail when cleaning. We had a newborn which we preferred to use our bassinet stroller to get around which was easier said than done. The resort was very nice and updated but you could tell it was built prior to ADA requirements with lots of stairs everywhere and limited elevators. We couldn’t get from the room to the lobby indoors without lifting the stroller up/down at least one flight of stairs.

Pool area was warm, had balls to play with, had towels available, was clean and so were the locker rooms. Staff for scavenger hunt were really friendly. Great idea to get the kids moving. Arcade area was large enough for our kids age group and fairly priced. Restaurants variety and staff were pleasant to interact with as well. LOVED the numerous on site activities, ie ice cream by the fire pit, ice skating with free skates for guests, scavenger hunt, arcade, movie theater, etc.

The property and activities for kids are great. The complementary s’mores were kids favorite

- Pool water and room temperature needs to be higher, we were able to spend only half an hour each day, kids were freezing. - The coffee place needs to be open until 5pm. If you want a snack 3pm, no options available. - You need to offer NYE dinner/party outside a package, I think people from outside will join. Was great idea but few people and expensive

The updated rooms! We typically stay at another resort but we come up to lake Geneva many times a year and have stayed at the abbey plenty of times over the years. It had been a couple years since we stayed here and when I saw the new upgraded rooms I was pleasantly surprised! We will definitely be coming here more now!

Only downside was at 240 west I accidentally ordered the wrong wine- I was pointing to the red wine section and asked about one- she said oh the Savignon Blanc and in my head she said cabernet sauvignon and I said yes- when I said oh I never drink white wine- there was no offer to get me a new one. I sucked it up but for an expensive restaurant it would have been nice to offer. That being said- my burger was amazing and the rest of the meal was great!

Room was tidy with comfortable mattresses and plenty of room. We requested a pack & play and it was delivered immediately after we arrived in our room.

It would have been nice to recieve a crib sheet and baby blanket with the pack and play, like most hotels provide. We were provided a regular sheet, which is a liability to use with a baby in a crib. The movie in the outdoor space was also blaringly loud when I was trying to put my children to sleep. The movie was as loud as an outdoor wedding and seemed kind of silly to trivialize the audible comfort of many guests for a few guests to enjoy a movie.

It was a great value for a high class experience. The resort has 2 full service restaurants. The pool and Jacuzzi were both perfect temperature and clean. The fire pit was a great place to sit when it was a little chilly at night and just look out onto the water. Everyone including the guests were all so happy and friendly. Also, the water pressure in the shower was amazing! Now that's hard to find! I absolutely can't wait to go back!
