It was such a short stay but from the moment I set foot in this hotel I was felt welcome, all stay were incredibly friendly but the staff member named Lucy went above and beyond, I’ve worked in hotels over 10 years of my life and never received such amazing service from somebody. Lucy made my stay from the little things to the big, she is a great asset to this hotel. She will do great things The breakfast was incredible and very personable, staff remember your name and who you are. I also got a massage when I was there and by far the best massage I have ever had. I felt incredibly relaxed and looked after. I hope to visit again soon. If you visit, say hey to Lucy, She’s a star.

Boy, oh boy. When going to Hanoi I was expecting smell and view of mold, noises and smells from the streets. Boy, I couldn't be more wrong. It's just a magic. Starting from the beginning - I was upgraded instantly on f-o-c basis, just because why not. So I've got the deluxe street view room on top floor instead of classic (cheapest one). Ladies and gents at reception were exceptional (special thanks to Lucy and the whole crew for everything), few of them speak English rather fluently (to my shame - maybe even better than I do). Surprises do not stop here. I've checked the room - it was spacious. No nasty smells. No signs of mold (trust me, I've searched for it like a maniac). No bugs. And quite a surprise - keeping in mind, that there was a street market time (nights between Fri and Mon) - it was quite quiet. Also dash of sun light in the morning is a nice thing to have. Ok, i though to myself - maybe it's just a super-duper fancy room to fish out positive reviews, so I've came back next weekend and booked cheapest room (I knew it will be either without windows or with small one without any actual view, but that's why I've opted for it - street market, remember? Also I wanted to see if there is any difference in room quality per se (again - mold, ventilation, bad maintenance) - and again - NO SUCH THINGS! Even the cheapest one was tidy clean, fresh, no signs of mold or excessive humidity, needless to say - I've slept like a baby again. If I ever will need a hotel in Hanoi - I will not book any other.

Lucy and her staff made us feel so welcome and all were very helpful and always smiling.. We were well looked after and the hotel became 'our home from home' whilst in Vietnam. We only had breakfast in the hotel. This was very good and varied across different cuisine styles. The omelettes are highly recommended. When we left too early for breakfast we enjoyed the picnic breakfast. A really nice touch was the individual goodnight message left hanging in a small bag with two chocolates on our room door. We liked this touch as it was so personal. If we can get back to Hanoi, we will definitely stay at the Hanoi Boutique Hotel and Spa. Well done Lucy

The breakfast was nice and fresh, with option to order fresh coffee and eggs/pancakes. Some of the staff are very gifted in hospitality, speaking multiple langueges. The check-in procedure was the best we experienced during our trip in Vietnam, they explained how to cross the street, how to behave, provided a guide with restaurants based on recommendations.

For a somehwat taller person, the bath in the room is rather small and the washing experience is a bit strange. But you'll be clean in the end. :-)

This was an amazing stay to finish our Vietnam trip! Lucy and her team are doing a great job at making you feel right at home! Despite the bustling city outside, you'll find peace and quiet as soon as you walk in. Just what we needed every time we came back to the hotel. Everything is within walking distance. Would definitely recommend staying here when you're visiting Hanoi.

A very minor something would be the fact that you had to shower in the bath, which wasn't really big as a whole.

Lovely "old style" hotel, with beautiful tiled floors and wood paneling. Breakfasts were great, location very central in the heart of the fascinating Old Quarter. But the best thing about the Hanoi Boutique Hotel are the staff. Lucy, Rosie and all the team are just the best. They just can't do enough for you. Bed was comfy, liked the separate bathroom. We had a City view which overlooked another property, so we kept the curtains shut, but it didn't spoil our enjoyment.

It's Old Quarter location means there can be a lot of noise at night from the various clubs; and the roads are very busy, which makes walking difficult - but you could say that for anywhere in the old quarter. The bath is a bit small for Westerners and some of the fittings needs updating.

I always feel like home when dropping at this hotel. The room is cozy, nice decoration with comfy bed. In addition, warmly hospitality from all the staff make my days. I went back from long trip up north, all I need is just hot bath with nice bed for good sleep but the room I got is far more than I expected: spacious, quiet,warm light, big bed, excellent shower and bath. I love little message they leave on the door every evening. The suite 306 is my favorite room that I highly recommend for anyone who stay for R&R. It worths the money and your experience there will mark your memory of Hanoi trip.

Fantastic staff. They do really anything to help. Even the transportation to Sapa. We left at the hotel and are returning to Hanoi and they arranged everything for the correct price, even if we aren't coming back to their hotel. We have been many times in Hanoi but they surpassed everything. The things they promised are done! The price of the hotel is great!

Actually nothing as when something wasn't OK they solved it immediately. We didn't like the first room (personal reason nothing to do with the room itself) and they give us the next day another one without an extra cost!

*Phenomenal* staff and service! Lucy, Rosie, Chloe, Victor were especially fab and had outstanding English and French. Justin, Jeremy, and Neo were super helpful, as well. Great breakfast and appreciated the mini splits and kettles in the rooms.

We stayed in 3 different rooms/room types over the course of our travels, and kept coming back to our “home base” here’s between outings. Our favorite floor was 9, and our favorite room was 706 with the balcony.

I booked 3 nights with a Suite on the 3rd floor. Spacious and big window. Bed is big and comfortable. I love the decoration of the room. All the staff is friendly and willing to help, specially in the bar-restaurant. It is nice to get a note and some chocolate on the door every evening when I get back from work. It made me feel like home.
