The resort was very nice. Nice garden, pools and surroundings. The houses were only two story high and the reception/restaurant was open air. Everything looked neat and lovely. We liked the breakfast as well.

The restaurant for dinner. Food was average but prices quite high. They added to the VAT an additional service charge which we found quite unusual. We were wondering why in such a nice location overlooking the river only very few people ate. Also the upper floor restaurant wasn’t in place. Only the main bar was open. It seemed either not enough guests or staff. Or both. Food and drinks were good but too expensive and hence it seems no one wants to eat there and that’s why all bars were closed and the restaurant upstairs as well. Seemed odd.

Hoi An Beach Resort is my type of resort: developed horizontally instead of vertically, along a river and with easy access to the beach, plenty of trees and green, giving a relaxed feeling also when you are reaching your room walking across the path. The architecture is recalling the original colonial style and is not intrusive like several modern resorts I saw on the coast. The beach is in front of the hotel entrance, is attended and provided by free beach umbrellas, sunbeds and towels. Swimming pools (two) are also wide. Buffet Breakfast is abundant and served on a wonderful terrace on the riverside. WiFi working good. Free shuttles are available during the day to/from Hoi An old town (about 4km). Around the hotel -by the beach indeed- there are several fresh fish restaurants, while on the adjacent road to Hoi An you find a lot of small Vietnamise restaurant, simple but good quality. For more sophisticated restaurants you head towards Hoi An center. Staff at reception is willing to assist for hints and tours. In general, all the staff around is kind and smiling. Position is very good: on the beautiful beach of Cua Dai (Bãi biển Cửa Đại), bordered with palm trees, is also not far from Hoi An historical city (8 Eur taxi or free hotel shuttle) and other location of interest.

The resort's restaurant is offering a limited selection of standard food at double prices vs the restaurants outside, therefore after the first time we never used the facility. The hotel is hosting companies' events and weddings, so better to ask for a quiet room far from the main noisy events, if any.

+ Location. Amazing locations, sandwiched between the Cua Dai beach in the front and a beautiful and quiet river in the back. It's just a 10 min motorbike/car/shuttle ride to Hoi An town or 20min by bicycle. Plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. + 2 beautiful pools where you can chill. + Generally, the room and the territory of the resort were pretty clean. + Very quiet. We had a river-side room and it was super quiet, exactly what we needed after 10 days of discovering other cities. There weren't too many guests, so it was also very quiet in the hallways and around the resort as well. + Large room with balcony and beautiful views. + Free bicycles for the guests (albeit a bit rusty) + Free shuttle to Hoi An, 3 times a day. + Sunbeds and towels for guests on the beach across the road. + Great breakfast with plenty of options to choose from.

- Everything is a bit rusty and outdated. It looks like the COVID pandemic hit quite hard the resort as there's plenty of stuff that needs maintenance and repairs, starting with many walls that need to be repainted or some AC units that are so rusty that might fall apart very soon. - Although they mention the private beach, they don't really take care of it, so it can get a bit dirty. As a suggestion, maybe the staff should at least once a week go with a rack and clean at least a portion of the beach in front of the sunbeds. All in all, despite those couple of points mentioned above, it wasn't really an issue for us, as we had some well-deserved rest there.

Loved the location, the river on one side for sunsets and the beach on the other for sunrises. Also the room, the bathrrom and the bed were all huge. They also have one of the most beautiful outside toilet blocks you will ever see. Hard to describe it's like a tropical island but with loos inside.

We really loved the hotel. But the food in the restaurant was only ok (bình thường) . This is a problem across hotels in Vietnam. Because the street food is so delicious, hotel food always feels bland and disappointing in comparison. So it was our fault for being lazy really.

The resort was lovely..out of town but the beach across the road. The resort offers a free bus shuttle into town. The free breakfast is delicious, the best I have had for the hotels I have stayed in Vietnam. They even gave us a breakfast pack when we were leaving as it was very early I definitely recommend 👌

AMAZING! This resort is in a wonderful location , beach one side , river the other. Beautifully spread out in lovely gardens. 2 Huge pools. Rooms are large with lovely balconies overlooking the river or beach. Great food and the best thing is the staff. Every person working here is so lovely , happy and helpful.

Big room with pretty canal view, and outside shaded seating. Plus just walk across a quiet road to private beach area, much better than DaNang city with its busy beach. Good aircon in room, and best & biggest king bed ever so comfy. We ate out at night, highly recommend Bao Han Restaurant 5 mins walk on Cua Di St.

Bathroom a bit dated but OK (small shower). Main restaurant upstairs was closed, BFast in the open Terrace was OK but mainly asian food. Pool was too hot to stay in (but it was 40 degs most days) sea was cooler. No minibar! Very good value for money though, recommended.

Nice large room with a balcony overlooking the river. This is the better side of the property. The ocean side would have a nice view but there is a road between the property and the beach. The property has a cabana and chairs on the ocean for guest use. There are two pools (one favored by parents with kids an a deeper infinity pool). There is a nice breakfast spread every morning with an egg station and lots of variety. The restaurant is right on the river with nice views. The property is about a 10 minute ride from Hoi An, which was great for us. Cua Dai Beach is a quiet village away from the tourist bustle of Hoi An. The beach is quite nice and pretty clean. The hotel offers a free shuttle to Hoi An and back several times of day. However, with the Grab App it is about a $2.50 ride back. We used both. The property is about a 45 min drive from Danang and we used a Grab driver to visit both Marble Mountain (allow 2 hours or so) and the Lady Buddha (highly recommended) for about $29 U.S. with tip. Much less expensive than the guided tours and neither site needs a guide. Highly recommend the property if staying in the area. Hoi An is a tourist zoo and nice to visit but the beach allows the best of both worlds.

We loved everything about this hotel. The location with serene river views and a beach opposite but only 10 minutes on the free shuttle or in a taxi to the old town suited us perfectly. Breakfasts and the one dinner we ate were delicious, and there is an interesting and not expensive wine list. I had a fabulous 90 minute massage, also reasonably priced. We looked at a deluxe river view and grand deluxe river view room and opted for the latter, a huge, nicely furnished space with a big balcony and gorgeous views up and down the river. They are definitely the rooms to book if available; it was by far the least expensive room in all our travels through Vietnam, just superb value for money. The staff were all charming and super helpful. Can’t recommend it enough!

Some very loud Australians shouting to each other including very late at night and early in the morning…..

The setting of the hotel - on the river and opposite the beach was just stunning. Both pools are really nice and it’s just a really peaceful place in the day. The hotel has a private beach area which was great. The room was very comfortable and cleaned to a good standard every day. Breakfast was included and had everything you needed, with some Western food included. The hotel run excursions and a shuttle bus to the Hoi A Town Centre was which really helpful and we meet some great people on the transport!

Would have given the hotel a 10 but 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed there they hosted parties for various groups not staying in the hotel. This included a significant set up in the day right by the main pool area and loud music from 1800 - 2200 on those nights. Luckily we were out of the resort for most of this time but if you’re looking to relax in the evenings as well as the day this might not be the hotel for you.
