Franklin Apartments

The location was great, close to everything and very central. An IGA store a couple of blocks away. A good kitchen and lounge area. It was great to have a washer and dryer as we were travelling for several weeks. Some great pubs, restaurants nd convenience stores close by.

Small main bedroom with no natural light, we had to put our luggage and clothes in the small single room and use it like a dressing room. No view except for office building across the road. Very tight driveway into car park and not much room in the car park. If you have a large 4WD don't bother trying to use the car park.

We booked the three bedroom apartment for 5 nights over Christmas and it was quite spacious in general. The ensuite bedroom and bathroom were great but the two smaller bedrooms didn't have suitable space and storage for travellers staying more than a night or two. The kitchen /dining / lounge room area was of reasonable space. We looked out over Franklin Street and up towards Victoria Square. Great location, not far from tram, Central Markets, and even to walk to mall precinct and the Festival Centre. The gentleman on site over Christmas and Boxing Day was extremely helpful.

The furniture in the apartment was a little dusty, could have been cleaned a little better.

Stayed at the Franklin apartments during my last leg in Australia. Bed is super comfortable and sturdy, no back pains. Plus you get a good selection of hygiene products and towels. There is a washer and dryer in the rooms, which is great to not having to wait till you get back home to do your laundry. You have a kitchenette which is great if you want to save some money and cook your meals. This is made super easy with the Adelaide Central market just less than a block away. Staff was super professional and efficient, Hardwick was very helpful during the check out process, as well as holding my bags at reception before my airport shuttle arrived.

There is no gym at the facility. However, they do offer guests memberships to the Good life Health Club just around the corner. If you are traveling interstate and are a member of Derrimut and Anytime Fitness, there are also locations within a 15-20 walk.

Fantastic location. 5 minute walk from the major mall which includes all you could ask for retail, food, groceries and liquor wise. Close by a huge range of diverse restaurants amd eateries. Only 20 minutes from the airport and the really popular Glenelg beach. The apartment itself had more than we expected. Completely self contained unit with a full kitchen, washer and dryer. Comfortable beds. The house keeping was fantastic. Friendly staff. Around good place to stay in Adelaide CBD for cheap!

The next door room was noisy into the night but that was more them, no fault of the property. Couldn't hear noise from any other rooms.

The apartment was well equipped for a stay there for cooking pretty much anything utensil wise etc. the washing machine/dryer is a great addition too. It was comfortable, spacious, had a homely feel and was in a great location. The staff were all very friendly and helpful!

The tv is an older version, so you can’t screen mirror/chrome cast your phone to it or watch anything other than terrestrial tv which is pretty inconvenient if you’re wanting to spend time enjoying the apartment watching films etc. We had to watch films on our tiny laptop screen instead of the big tv. This is a pretty standard feature to have a Smart TV or one where you can connect your own phone to these days in most accommodation.

In an excellent location near everything you could need. Decently stocked kitchen with most of what you would want for cooking. Friendly staff. Pretty good price for what you're getting as long as you book well in advance.

We paid for the garage, and some days it was completely full, and most of the time the remote to open and close the door didn't work, which was a major problem when it was after hours - there isn't always a person available at reception, so you have to call a number, and they basically just tell you that you have to leave your car in the middle of a downtown street to go inside and around to open the garage. We also tried to extend our stay, and they wouldn't do it for us at reception - they told us we had to go through the third party website, and the price had gone up significantly, so we ended up packing up and going elsewhere to stay. It also isn't a very quiet location - we could hear our neighbours and outside noise most of the time.

For the cost , this is a wonderful property Proximity to everything we wanted to do. The parking located in the basement with a trolley to bring our load of stuff to our room is a bonus . Tour and attraction info , fresh water in reception. Self contained with kitchen ( inc dishwasher) and laundry , tv, comfy bed and sheets, helpful staff who responded to issues very quickly

Everything a bit dated. Arrived with dryer broken , leaky taps, etc but property very responsive. Needs a good paint job, better utensils / pans ( non stick pan is damaged beyond repair) and basic cooking needs eg oil and salt and pepper. Especially didn’t like the multiple ‘single use’ items while advertising being environmentally friendly

The rooms and balcony where very well set out .

I didn't like the fact that they asked for the security bond first and room payment second . When i realised why they did it because first transaction will pend until bank has its security time but second one because the bank now recognises them as a secure payment so that money goes across straight away whilst the bond sits until its cleared then has to be sent back so yeah it will take longer all because they choose to do in this order . I got home this morning after paying it at 3pm yesterday and its still pending so once it clears then the time to come back .

I was little bit annoyed that on the site we went and booked on it did not say that we had to pay for parking so I feel that was miss leading as I ticked I wanted accommodation with parking. If it had given us a warning that we had to pay then I could of had a choice.. The reason was my wife was having surgery so I was to stay at motel till they called me, means I would have to pay twice In same day. However I did speak to manager on the day and was very happy with how they helped us. I would definitely book again with them and in future now we know you have to pay. Fabulous place
