Sofitel Adelaide

Very luxurious. Beautiful room. Comfy bed and possibly the best bath I’ve ever had!! Service was exceptional. The buffet breakfast was good quality with a very nice coffee! Lovely restaurant.

It is adjacent to Adelaide’s night club street and despite being on the 22nd floor with double glazing. The music was so loud I could not sleep. I recommend asking for a room close to the front of the hotel and as far from Hindley street as they can manage.

Customer service is superb, out of the 6 hotels that we've been to, I must say that Sofitel's staff is 11 out of 10. They are not just there to serve , but rather to serve and give you satisfaction to the highest level , the smiles of the staff, especially the asian staff brightens, not just us but everyone, in the dining area, the room attendants will not just say their usual line "is there anything" but "is there anything else we can help you with an ear to ear smile, and ends the meeting not just with "your welcome maam" but instead "please let us know if there is qnything else you need ma'am, if you need this this..." you can feel that they love what they're doing, you can feel that they are serving with love.

No bathtub, a bit pricey compared to other hotels, with the price we paid for normally in other hotels there would be a bathtub in the room.

The breakfast was just beautiful. We had the Buffet breakfast and really enjoyed the oysters.

There was no complimentary water in the room and we had to go to reception to request this. Then we were charged for mini bar that wasn't applicable on the bill. Happily though that was fixed up instantly so that was great.

Breakfast great and good service. Excellent attentive service from all levels of staff from the Valet Parking - Front Desk and House keeping. Customer was their only concern. Good level of training evident.

The room was amazing, modern, and luxuriously appointed.

Nothing … it was great. The only downfall was the valet staff. They were very slow (despite the amount you pay for this service) and every time we phoned in advance for our car to be ready but we would get downstairs and the valet staff were standing around but had not gone to get the car and we had to wait another 10 minutes for them to get it.

The room service dinner was exceptional. As was the face to face service at reception and the restaurant. The concierge service was brilliant.

The breakfast was quite basic and unlike the quality of other 5 star hotels. It looked like an after thought, using the chef's bench. The room service ordering was problematic via the tablet and only allowed me to book for the following night which caused some delays and overcharging - all of which were quickly rectified..

Sofitel Adelaide was the perfect stay, right in the heart of the CBD. Walking distance to Rundle Mall, Convention Centre, Train Station & quality restaurants! The facilities were stunning, and very clean. Minimal children around, so the stay was relaxing & staff were very friendly! I was also able to check in early at midday which I very much appreciated. Will definitely be back 🫶🏼

Only picky criticism is that the pool area would be nicer if it was actually located outside / on a rooftop area so guests could enjoy the sunshine. But otherwise the Pool/Gym area is gorgeous!

Can get noisy late evening and even past midnight (we were on 14th floor) due to loud music from a pub and disco next door. Not their fault but it will keep you awake at times. Hotel air conditioning is set to a certain temperature 18 degree lowest and can get warm at night - you cannot alter the air flow more than a certain level. Breakfast is great but will get boring if you’re staying for a longer duration as there is no variation in the daily menu.

The room layout and decor was excellent. As was the dining room for breakfast. The bar was small and cute and the drinks/cocktails were amazing. The view from the top floor was excellent although i would have liked to see what the view would be like to the south seeing Adelaide oval lit up at night.

Breakfast was a little awkward but mainly because COVID meant that you could not serve yourself. This seemed to place the staff under a little more pressure to be everywhere for everyone at all times. They did a great job though and breakfast was delicious and relaxing.

I cannot speak highly enough of my recent stay at the Sofitel Adelaide. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a sense of luxury and elegance that permeated every aspect of the hotel. The boutique style and attention to detail were evident in every corner, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. One person who truly stood out during my stay was Adrian from guest services. His attentiveness and consideration were exceptional, and he went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. Adrian's dedication to providing exceptional service was truly commendable. The accommodations at the Sofitel Adelaide were luxurious. The rooms were beautifully appointed, with every amenity one could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The attention to detail was evident in the high-quality furnishings, plush bedding, and luxurious bathroom amenities. The hotel's facilities were equally impressive. The fitness center was well-equipped. The pool was warm, simple and lovely. We even managed to utilise the sauna which was clean, simple and fast to use. Overall, my experience at the Sofitel Adelaide was nothing short of exceptional. The luxurious and boutique style, combined with the warm and welcoming atmosphere, created a truly memorable stay. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Thank you, Adrian, and the entire staff at the Sofitel Adelaide, for an unforgettable experience.
