Nice pool. Comfortable bed. Good breakfast.

The ground floor room felt a bit like staying in a cave. Very dark and no windows. My sister stayed upstairs and her room was great. The hotel should have a generator or at least supply lamps for the rooms that work without electricity. There were lots of power cuts and the room was very uncomfortable during those times. The front desk guy (can't remember his name) was quite rude.

The staff is very friendly and helpful, every single one of them. They sincerely want you to enjoy your stay. Special thanks to Alfonso, Mayrose, Karen, Sandra and Jonathan. Terrace level with pool is lovely.

The walls and floors are hollow concrete, so you hear every other rooms alarm clocks, phone calls, conversations, etc, as well as luggage being rolled along the long hallways at 0400. Also the gap under the door is big enough for a pizza box to slide through, so the flies and mosquitos from outside come into your room. The interior of the hotel is not air-conditioned, so your room and the restaurant are the only cool rooms in the hotel. I'm sure that's less of a problem in the non summer months.

Fantastic location in Getsemani. Whilst on a busy street you can’t hear any of the traffic or street noise in the rooms. Pool is more like a pond but good to sit in to cool down in the afternoons. Staff are all really lovely and helpful. Strong WiFi.

Music is played through speakers from about 9am-11pm. It reaches the rooms. If you have the air con on high then it cancels out the constant repetition of Adele cover songs.

The customer service is exceptional. The breakfast it was great. Decoration in the hotel it's so pretty and delicate. The location was good because is close to the city attractions but the street its very congested.

The rooms are a bit small and don't have any view. But it is understandable for the space.

The staff were absolutely amazing, especially Luis and Juan Pablo, who helped us countless times throughout our stay to ensure we had a good experience. The room we stayed in appeared small on paper, but it was so smartly laid out that we didn't notice once we were there. The rooftop was an awesome place to spend the morning and evening.

The hot water in the shower was temperamental, but we found this to be a common problem throughout Cartagena. Also, I think our room could have benefitted from additional lighting (desk and/or floor lamp), a small safe for valuable items (not for security as much as keeping track of small items), and some hooks for drying towels and clothes.

We had a wonderful stay at Casa Canabal, the hotel is very well located, in a very animated neighborhood. However, we heard no noise during the night. The hotel staff was super kind, very helpfull to give advise on the city. The breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and different meal options (omelettes, scramble eggs, typical colombian breakfast, pancakes...).

The room was quite dark because the window overlooked the interior corridor (however I think thanks to that the room was very quiet!!). The swimming pool is small.

location in gestemani was great. the rooftop and pool were nice. staff are lovely. rooms always clean. I had a massage and that was great!

the rooms are very dark, it is built in an old house so that’s understandable, but the lighting in the room could have been a bit better to compensate for how dark it is when the door is shut (was relying on 2 bedside lights rather than actual lighting)

Beautiful and recently renovated hotel. The bedroom was very clean and comfortable, great shower and bed. Breakfast was delicious and the rooftop area and pool were great too. The staff was exceptional - kind, attentive and accommodating, they were really great (especially Roberto and Afonso) and made a big difference on my stay, specially as a solo traveler. They helped arrange day trips for me, gave tips for the neighborhood, etc.

During weekdays there was construction work on the pool area. Still got to use it, which was great but the noise was an inconvenience

Fabulous location in Getsemani, walkable and easy to get to other parts of town (because the traffic can be OMG), very pleasant and professional staff, a pretty, spotless and surprisingly quiet suite with plenty of pillows and towels. Good AC, too! Dinner and beach club recommendations were excellent ad well.

There's nothing to complain about. This isn't the Four Seasons, it's a boutique hotel in an busy neighborhood in a Caribbean city. Adjust your standards accordingly. This is a great find and we will be back.

Location was perfect! In the heart of Getsemani, we were able to get to a lot of the old city attraction within minutes. Hotel staff was wonderful and extremely helpful, very kind and service oriented.

Our bathroom sliding door did not open properly. It was hard to get in and out of the space where the WC is located. WIll recommend regular maintenance checkups all around the rooms.
