Great location and comfortable room.

When we booked, it said all fees were included. Then get a message right before we checked in to bring cash for "required tourist insurance." Also noticed after looking at our bill that there was a tip added to our hotel.

I liked the overall historic and rustic ambiance. I liked that my room was on the courtyard and relatively quiet. I liked the central location. I like the breakfast terrace. I like availability of coffee refills.

The bed was too firm for a comfortable sleep. The WiFi was often weak. The breakfast was the same 3 days in a row. They should make something different each day of the week, so in one week there would be 7 options. Then start over the next week with the same 7 options. That way guests staying 4, 5, or so days would have some variety at breakfast.

Noisy on Saturday nights, I understand it was a result of balcony and location which are also positives. TV was easy to get off track and difficult to navigate back.

The staff was 100 % amazing ! They went out of their way to make sure we were well. The lady administrator was great, and Filomena at the kitchen was very attentive. The people at the check in desk were very good. The whole staff was absolutely very polite, courteous and much pro-active to make sure our satisfactions at the hotel were what we met. Even thought the hotel is old and needs a lot of improvements the very positive actitude form the manager her staff made a difference. Our gratitude to ech one of them. A positive suggestion to the whole staff: DO NO CHANGE YOUR PERSONALITIES, YOU ALL WERE SUPER NICE !!! Our very warm regards to each one of you. Edmundo Deshon

The hotel needs a lot of physical improvement.

Firstly, this hotel is fantastically located, right in the heart of the old city. This was a huge bonus. The property itself is really quaint with a beautiful pool area and a nice breakfast terrace on the 5th floor. The staff were so accommodating and went out of their way to try help us. For e.g., our conference started really early and we were going to miss breakfast so the kitchen staff packed us some sandwiches and fruit to take with. This was really thoughtful. The wifi was great, the room was neat and clean with everything we needed. Would stay here again with no hesitation.

Our room on the first floor did get a little noisy with the late night party crowd returning to the hotel. However, this is to be expected and considering how noisy the city is, the hotel offers a cool quiet haven from the bustling crowd

The location was ideal. Centrally located within the wall city it was close to everything but what really stood out on my stay was the kind and professional display by the entire staff. Those at the front desk, the cleaning crew and those in the restaurant. They were accommodating and courteous. Specifically, Juan David, who exhibited a true spirit of hospitable caring. Very knowledgeable and his awesome personality provided a higher level of comfort to the stay. Bottom line is, Juan David did an outstanding job. Not just with me but with other guests. A true asset to Hotel Don Pedro De Heredia.

The beds. For someone who have been in a major accident, it was difficult to sleep and adjust to the firmness of the beds. Every night was a serious challenge.

Nice building, room, breakfast, cleanliness, etc.

The only negative aspect was when we received the bill at the end of our stay. The hotel tried to charge us for insurances and other things that we had not ordered. They removed these items after we asked them to do so, but it left a negative feeling at the end of a nice stay.

Everything was phenomenal - absolutely the best hotel in Cartagena we could've imagined. The breakfast was exceptional with great healthy options and great service. Every staff member was very nice and helpful. The facilities were perfect, we loved the coworking room, pool, and rooftop. It was extremely central, close to everything and in a very busy area of town - yet the rooms were quiet and peaceful, with AC up to your control to adjust to your comfort. I will recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cartagena!

A few bugs, but that's the tropics, something the hotel can't control. Only saw a few small ones, nothing too scary. Ask for extra towels if you plan on showering / swimming more than once a day (towels/clothes won't dry quickly in room). Everything was great!

It was in the city, loved that it was near the venue for a wedding we were attending. It was less than a 5 minute walk. Close to shops and supermarket.

The room we were initially in the first night was right next to a club which did not let us sleep. It was also next to the kitchen where they began to prep breakfast around 6 am. Bathroom in that room was very small. If I was taller, I would have not been able to sit properly as my knees were very close to the wall. That room should not be rented to anyone that’s on the 5th floor. The hotel was able to accommodate us and changed our room the next day which was great. So we are thankful that they were able to make the change and have our stay be more pleasant the rest of the time there.
