The Westin Resort & Spa Cancun

Check-in was smooth and informative. The room was the perfect setup for the family, comfortable beds. Who does not like the beach and pool areas and all the activities. The staff were outstanding.

This is about the area. Hired a private driver and the young man was concerned about his safety. Each time he came to pick us up. The bell hops would give him a not so welcoming look and tell him to move along quickly. I understand security for all quest is important but this was not the case.

The hotel is located with a direct access to the beach within Zona Hotelera, which is home to many restaurants and hotels. There is a bus top right outside the property, which makes it very convenient to get around for those who prefer not to drive. The hotel also offered activities during the day for guests. I like that there were umbrellas and beach chairs for the guests to use. The hotel has a big property and few pools, although usually only main one was open. I was surprised to see that people still preferred the pool to such beautiful beach located right outside their door.

The rooms are outdated, which many reviewers had already said. However, it didn’t bother me as much because I barely stayed in the room. What bothered me though was frequent communication from concierge trying to sell me the time share. I found it be be excessive emails, calls to my room and my cell) even though the staff was polite and respectful.

We love the beach and the pool more than anything else, the location is also great and very close to the airport. Breakfast was good, it felt like they were a little understaffed but even then the staff managed to deliver great service.

They still dont have vallet parking which is a bit of an inconvenience specially when you have to park your car at night (it's a bit of a walk back to the lobby). Bathroom could use a bit of a make over but not a big deal.

the view is amazing, the different swimming pools, the outside, the size of the room, the staff, the location at the beginning of the hosteleria zone, more quiet and not with big buildings

the air conditioning is really noisy when on… crazy !! lots of areas were closed (kids areas, some restaurants, the swimming pool with the wave…) and the sea and stones restaurant seemed amazing but could do not have a place… so we were back to the remaining restaurant like a snack…

Upgraded room with Balcony at no extra charge. All staff worked hard to earn their money. Beach front and the pool was fantastic. Location was perfect for us. Fantastic service from all staff. Food was tasty and fresh. Will definately return to this property for our vacation.

The beach, nice people! The room was nice and clean. Very comfortable bed and clean bathroom Pool was also amazing with beautiful view. Would recommend

Some food wasn't up to standard! Just some, otherwise the food is good. Not much to say, maybe the taxi drivers doesn't have change with them. So ended up paying a bit extra.

That every morning I was woken up by concierge… I was on vacation trying to enjoy sleeping in and yet they called every day in the early morning

The location is Perfect for a family, it has a private beach which gives you the peace from vendors and other tourists walking by. The ocean view room is perfect for a beautiful sunrise. Breakfast spread is great and 5+ star rating for the staff and their hospitality.

Drainage like smell coming from washroom, we complained and they did do a deep cleaning. It was not all the time, but when it started you cannot even bear it. Also, the closet had mold like smell but again that is with the weather being so humid. Washrooms lacked freshness has our room 2403 washroom didn't had any ventilation.

The beach was AMAZING. More beautiful than I could have imagined! I loved the chill and peaceful vibe at the hotel. There were activities in the main pool during the day if you wanted that atmosphere, but there were also SO many spots to relax and get away from everyone else and have a quiet day. After seeing the rest of the hotel zone, I'm SO thankful we had a relaxing and chill hotel, instead of the loud and chaotic hotels that we saw around us. The spa service was AMAZING as well. I had a massage by the beach, and was able to use the sauna, jacuzzi, and steam room as well as part of the experience. The food was great as well.
