Residence Inn by Marriott Cancun Hotel Zone

The hotel looks brand new and beautiful. Huge room with nice bed and TV. Very nice pools on the roof, with amazing view of the ocean. All staff members were very friendly and helpful. Nice complimentary breakfast (even though we didn't order breakfest in the booking)

Bad smell in the hotel, especially from the bathroom. Pool wasn't clean, and had some bugs. Location is far from the restaurants, and the snack bar they offer didn't work properly when it rained.

the staff were helpful….location is at the beginning of hotel zone so far walk from everything you’ll def need to take a taxi….property also did not honor my request for extra towels or high floor room with good view i was placed in a ground floor room facing the parking lot when i asked to be moved because i noticed there were rooms available on the site staff told me it was no rooms available so i couldn’t move they also had no face towels in our room and when i asked for some i was told there were none available….breakfast bar had nothing labeled so if you aren’t a local you wouldn’t know what the choices were besides the items that were common

My room was well designed and comfortable. The gym was adequately equipped yet stunk like Chlorine and Ammonia.

I didn't like the strong scent of chemicals in the lobby🤢. Not far away from the strong smell of Chlorine was where breakfast was served, and it changed the taste of the nice food. 🤮 It was hard to navigate to find my room. They need larger numbers and/or clear directions in English and Spanish. I didn't like the location so far away from the tourist/beach district. The hotel should hire a bus and schedule trips to take people up to the airport and public beaches.

We booked this hotel for our last night so we could be close to the airport for an early flight the next day. The airport was approx. 15-20 minutes away by car (we had a rental). Parking was free and in abundance. The room was spotlessly clean and had every possible facility needed. We were impressed with the size of the room too - huge super king bed, kitchen area, sofa and large TV, desk space, mini walk-in-wardrobe and bathroom with a massive walk-in-shower.

Unfortunately our last night of a 3 week trip rained heavily, we asked the hotel regarding food and was advised to go to the roof top bar. There was no one available (and being on a roof top in the rain) meant we couldn't eat. We had to drive 10-15 minutes to a mall (which usually wouldn't have been an issue but we had driven far to get there that morning.

The room and the hotel was very nice and comfortable. The room was very nice and spacious and it was a great fit for our needs. Overall it is a nice location, staff very friendly especially Brenda, so welcoming!

Thee pool needs a lot of attention. It is a very nice area but when we went to use the pool on our last day, the water was very dirty and even there was hair and small food remaining floating. Water looked like it was not clean for days. We noticed that and we just left the pool. The restaurant/bar on the top roof offers very little options. The breakfast was just ok. I would just stay away from the actual pool and food. If you are not planning to use it not even for a minute, you will be fine at this location.

The breakfast was very good, I appreciated both the hot selection, toasts and baked goods, fruits and the yoghurt option. The apartment was gorgeous, many smart solutions and everything felt new and clean. They seemed to have thought of the female needs, with hairdryer and a little table with lighting that worked as a makeup station. Indoor climate was perfect, and it was an exclusive touch with skybar and pools. Quiet area away from the noise of the centre of the Hotel Zone. Friendly and helpful staff.

Only drawback was the systematic lack of cutlery and that food and beverages ran out consistently and took some time to be refilled. Beds were hard, it provoked my herneated disk. I missed having an electronic kettle, the coffee maker is a bit of a hassle if you only need one cup of tea or coffee. The hotel seemed understaffed, every day at noon it could take 15-20 minutes to queue to have our enquiries answered. Calls to reception via apartment phone were not always answered. The hotel could consider a shuttle back to the hotel as well, the expenses for taxi back to the hotel adds up over longer stays.

the more I like was the confort of the hotel as a whole, excellent staff, breakfast was good. property cleaning excellent, and finally the facilities at room are good for family visit, because you can prepare your own foods and drinks. keep it cooling.

public transportation is not available, however uber services are good.

We chose this hotel as it is close to the airport. Our room was very nice, new, spacious and clean. We did not need the extras like kitchen, desk etc. For the amenities this is a very good price. Breakfast was solid.But you must be aware that this is not very close to the hotel/beach strip.

Location to beaches is a bit far, but close to the airport. Shuttles do not go in the afternoon, so you need a taxi. As we got scammed, we recommend to use UBER.

This is our second time staying here. It is very comfortable, big rooms and very modern. We love the pools and the gym. The staff is always kind.

They changed the breakfast and the staff there. Before there was 3 people serving the breakfast, it was very diverse. Now it is very simple and it lacks flavor. They also changed the menu at the snack bar. We asked 2 times at the front desk for a cleaning service but they never did our room. This time our stay was a little dissappointing :(

GREAT POOLS,ON THE ROOF AND VALUE FOR MONEY AND GREAT STAFF, ALSO THE VIEWS FROM THE ROOF TOP POOL AREAS.

BEING A NEW HOTEL, THEY ARE HAVING A FEW TEETHING TROUBLES,GREAT BUT IF THEY PROVIDED A SHUTTLE SERVICE INTO TOWN FOR A FEE OF COURSE IT WOULD HELP WITH THE EXORBITANT TAXI PRICES IN CANCUN.
