We've made a family trip to Groningen. We were delighted with the facilities, location and friendliness of the staff! The rooms are different and cosy. This is not a 5 star hotel but it met all of our needs and more. You can bring your own food as every room has a shelve in the communal fridge and there is a small kitchen also with delve,microwave and kettle. The place was quiet and only a 10min walk into the town centre. If you are looking for a friendly,comfortable and convenient place to stay in Groningen, i highly recommend Labnul50!

Our Bathroom was very small and literally in a box. The doors wouldn't close fully,so you would want to be pretty close to the person you are sharing the room with.

Artsy nice hotel with the little extra touch. Rooms nicely decorated and big, we had a room with four beds (one double and two single in bed cabinets). Had a lounge area in the room and also a bigger table and chairs for eating. Plus for the Nespresso machine and capsules in the room. Shared two toilets and showers with one other room only. Was clean and had everything you needed. We didnt use the terrace since it was rainy but it had a lovely outdoor terrace in the yard. Good location, close to city center. Parking garage next to the hotel aswell as a supermarket.

This was our favourite place to stay during our trip in the Netherlands. Groningen has a nice vibe to it and we were pleasantly surprised at Labnul50 and how arty and interesting it is. Our room was very interesting and we found it amazing how creatively it was decorated. The bed was absolutely amazing!! If the shower curtain was a shower door, it would have been the perfect shower! It was small, but comfortable enough for two people and we didn't have space issues. Very clean and neat, we would stay here again.

The check-in process was a bit tricky, as on weekends after 12pm there are no people around to assist and we had to phone a number to check-in. Unfortunately, as we are from South Africa, we only had a data SIM and not one that could do actual phone calls, and they did not answer a WhatsApp call either. Luckily for us, a very kind gentleman who rents some studio space at Labnul50, happened to walk by and gave his phone to us to make the call to check in. I did not ask his name but he says every now and then he receives an espresso on the house from the restaurant and this was his way of paying it forward, I was very touched to hear the generosity from both parties. It all worked out well for us, but just thought I would mention this process.

I really enjoyed my stay. The room was clean, the shower worked well and housekeeping cleaned the room on every day of the stay. The girl that helped me check in was very nice and was helpful with my special request for the check out. There were bus stations only a few minutes away from the location, as well as a supermarket that was open till 22. The city center was also at a convenient walking distance from the hotel. The area felt safe and was very quiet as well.

It would be more convenient if a self check in and check out could be implemented, otherwise I have no complaints, my stay here was great.

The rooms are located in a cultural/arts complex on an ancient factory ground. Accordingly they have an attratactive industrial Bauhaus like style and each of them seems to be designed/decorated by a different artist. Nice, fancy light system with changing colours. Breakfast option in a café downstairs at reasonable price. Easy going check-in with very friendly staff.

For my personal taste the mattresses are by far too soft. I am sure however, that they are very new. So it is just a question of personal preferences. Above I found the price of 75 Euro for this type of accommodation quite high. However the price level in Groningen in genereal seems to be very high.

The arrangement might look a bit odd at first - its reception is in a small restaurant/bar - but it's actually very nice. The staff are very friendly. My room didn't have paper towel, and I don't know if it's regular or just me, but since I brought my own I didn't particularly care about that. Plus, there was a friendly and curious cat meowing outside the room in the afternoon, which made my day. (Attached its photo)

Nothing bad to say

The hotel area was great, nice small lobby where the fridges are located, a common terrace, and an outdoors yard with tables that belongs to the patisserie downstairs. Their stuff are accommodating all guest and they are very helpful. Independent entry after their working hours. Great private rooms, with toiletries, espresso machine, capsules. Very clean too.

It met my expectations.

Nice location next to the Noorderplantsoen park and 5-10 minutes to the main city center. Late check-in (21.00 hrs) via phone was no problem and very friendly. Room has everything you need, in a minimalistic design. Very clean. Nice shared area (inside & outside) to sit and enjoy the evening. Many cafés, bars, and restaurants are close by. Quiet room.

Nothing. Note that there is no 24 hour reception and no restaurant or bar in the hotel itself after ca 17.00 hrs. But plenty very close by.

The building is very nice and warm. Everything works fine and you can access everything through the use of a digital key. The cleaning service was very flexible and nice, usually refilling the missing items in the room. The wifi was extremely fast and the heating system was functional.

Be careful if you book a room with a bed on the upper floor, it's easy to let something fall down

The interior design of the room but the outside also. It was a quiet place, just 2 minutes walk from the Circus parking place (12 Euro per day)

the metal structure used to suspend the bed was safe but not recommended for elderly people. I'm talking now about room 105. The height of the space under the bed, where the TV and a desk are located, is 170cm, which in my opinion is at the limit. you must always be careful not to hit your head. but, you can live with it!
