Van der Valk Hotel Groningen-Hoogkerk

Everything! Superb room, we booked a junior suite, the bathroom eas out if this world! Spotlessly clean and very spacious and comfortable. The staff were polite and helpful and the food at breakfast and in the restaurant was exceptional, inventive and delicious. A superb stay and if we are in the vicinity again it would be the only place I would stay

we always choose to stay at a Van Der Valk Hotel whenever we visit the Netherlands for the Dutch TT round of the Moto GP. so far we have stayed at Van Der Valk hotels in; Assen-Zwolle-Dwingeloo and now Groningen. The standard of the hotels are just what we like and why we choose to stay at these hotels, the Restaurants-bars are if a good standard and the service from arrival to departure is nothing but great.

The room was spacious and very clean and tidy. Great shower and wash facilities. Very big bed, one of the comfiest I have stayed in! Cannot fault the room at all. We didn't have an evening meal, but we paid for the breakfast and again, one of the best breakfasts I've had. Huge choice of foods to choose from and very high quality of food. Was very glad I opted for it. Staff were very polite and helpful, they kindly phoned a taxi for me twice. Perfect service.

Good size room that was very comfortable. Good ambiance overall, and Park & Ride bus facility at the doorstep to the city centre. Good breakfast too, with excellent service attitude from all team members. As a hotelier myself, I can tell that this is a very well run hotel, and compliments to the Management, & team.

Great spacious room - comfortable - Nice up-to-date bathroom and shower - The bed was good and ofcourse they accept dogs. The area was in a nice quiet area.

Pillows Pillows pillows... not very comfortable felt like there were separate rolls of material in there never got a comfortable feeling... however this is from a guy that is really particular with pillows.... Wish they put tiles in rooms that they allow dogs....

We booked this trip to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday and it was a very nice experience. Everything was arranged so well! Especially given the corona crisis. We ordered food to our room for dinner and the food was delicious and the room service was well arranged. The buffet breakfast was well stocked and the measures taken to make it safe for everyone were commendable. We booked the Junior Suite and absolutely loved it. The space was very spacious, exactly like in the pictures, comfortable and clean. The hotel is located a little out of the city, but there is a bus stop right outside that has buses that take you into the city every ten minutes. Day tickets are easily available at the reception. Overall, really loved the trip.

Room was nice. Bed was weird as two small singles pushed together. Breakfast was OK - some items were cold. I had dinner at the hotel and it was high quality and tasty! I used the gym which was also OK - basic but perfect for some exercise after a long day of travel.

The automatic surplus added to the charge in case you use Resturant/bar. I understand but need to have more faith in customers

We really enjoyed the beds, they were really comfy. We we also very impressed with the jacuzzi, the double showers and the fact you could do roomservice digitally.

When you pay this amount of money for a Wellnessroom, the minibar should be complimentary to be honest. Also not being able to order an early breakfast (to go even) was something I was surprised by.

Plenty of free parking. Lovely spacious rooms. Great breakfast options. Close to the bus stop that takes you right to the old town. There were even charging stations if you have an electric car.
