Fletcher Familiehotel Paterswolde

This is my second time here and my good experience is consistent with the last time. Room was large, gym/fitness facilities (including a sauna) were great. Food was alright at the restaurant for dinner, but breakfast was not so great. It's not worse than most chain hotels in the Netherlands though (I rarely have great breakfasts at such restaurants - the Netherlands doesn't have a huge breakfast culture, so it's not surprising). Front desk staff were great. In particular, Keilab (I probably spelt his name wrong - young guy with a gold tooth) was fantastic. He was very friendly, patient and helpful, especially for a Dutch hotel (where service isn't always so impressive in my experience). I rate him 10/10 for his service, he should get employee of the year!

The food for dinner was not great, but it wasn't bad either in terms of quality. Price-quality ratio wasn't good though, small portions for fairly high prices. For instance, one pork skewer and a very small amount of vegetables for over €24. Still, a good experience overall makes this negative point negligible.

Service was excellent and the free parking fir the motorbike was great. The leisure facilities were good and the food was lovely in the restaurant. The added bonus was having a restaurant down by the lake aswell, only a two minute walk, would highly recommend 😃

The bathroom was small and the hotel was a drive from any centre such as Groningen.

We stayed here for 3 nights recently. Loved it! The location was perfect, comfortable rooms lots of space, the breakfast was great everything you wanted. Evening dinner was very tasty with great service. Would completely recommend it if you want a relaxing break. Very near to Groningen but we stayed local, hiked around the lake and enjoyed the calm. You can rent bikes or walk, there are maps available too.

Friendly staff, nice room, enough parking space and not in the middle of the great city Groningen. Peaceful and quiet and a really dark room.

The interieur is a little old and the carpet could do with a little deep cleaning or could be replaced. There was a little mold in the shower cabin.

Breakfast great , nice pool and sauna and steam room ,bedroom carpet could do with replacing a little tired and bed very soft but all clean and tidy , bathroom full functional and clean very traditional large bath as well as shower

We had a family suite which had two separate bedrooms and was very spacious. There was also a small balcony with a table and chairs. There was a bus stop right outside the hotel and the staff advised which bus to get to Groening and back which was helpful. The pool was lovely and the breakfast was very good too.

Large room, well functional. Style is a bit old, but nothing wrong with it. Very well maintained and confortable.

The gym has a rowing machine, which I loved! But one of the foot straps was missing - it is easy to replace, but when I stayed there, the foot strap was not present.

Breakfast was great, and the dining patio and gardens are lovely.

No complaints at all….. perhaps the restaurant and bar could stay open later, but that seemed to be the case everywhere in the region

Great Place to stay. Nice big clean rooms, friendly, helpful staff. And not overly expensive. Comfortable beds.

16 euro is way too much for breakfast. We went to a nearby bakery, it was 16 euro for 4 people!

- Quite outdated rooms and room furniture. Vintage style - The floor was quite old and had some spots. Didn't feel super clean, same as the bed sheets.
