Martini Hotel

great location. easy walk from the train station about a 1/2 kilometer. Right on the edge of the city center surrounded by restaurants, cafes, shopping, markets, town square, the university and public transportation. the room was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was small but functional and had good water pressure. Weeva, on the first floor is a nice restaurant and bar - on one side of the main entry is the restaurant with good food, and on the other is comfortable bar, which is a great place to relax and unwind. I would say it's a very warm inviting place with a friendly accommodating staff.

nothing really, its my kind of place. After I left Groningen I stayed at a 4star Mercure hotel in Amsterdam, which was connected to the metro - very convenient. Overall nice, but I found it to be too modern and cold. I was wishing I was back at the Martini.

I booked it for my mother in law for 3 nights to stay while we were still hosting my parents. She said that the breakfast had absolutely everything (continental style). The window towards the back side of the building made it silent room and one could sleep great. Very clean. It was possible to check out at 5 in the morning, nice. There is elevator, the building also has beautiful hisorical windows in the hall/stairs.

The furniture might need renewal. The air conditioner is not there, but it's rare that you could need one.

We got a nice room with big windows towards the street. We were worried it would get loud in the night, however we found it very quiet in the end. The breakfast was nice, a good selection of different cheeses/meats, very good bacon and fresh orange juice.

The hotel felt a bit old, but nothing that was an issue.

Great vibes, the reception is between a big traditional pub-style cafè and a wonderful restaurant. Per se the hotel Is so-so, but the situation Is nice. You can park nearby. Position Is great, 5 minute walk ro everyting.

We had a room in second floor, the Windows Is on this busy lane with few cars but lots of noisy pubs. Part of the experience, if you search for a wuiet Place go sonewhere else

Staff is extremly profesional and you enjoj to go to reception desk just to see beautiful smile from staff.Also location of the hotel is top. I higly recomend to stay in this hotel.

In 6 days how much I stay nobody take out garbage from my room, but that is probible my fault because i didn't put card on the door to clean my room.

The location is ideal for getting to the centre of town fast. Add to that, the breakfast was offered early enough on weekdays, which is ideal for busy visitors and it was delicious.

The WiFi connection was very poor, but at least it is in a good enough location for most phones to get signal, so data can be used. Unsure if a paid option for WiFi was offered, mostly because of reliance on data.

The place has grandeur from the past, but seemed pretty quiet for a Sunday late afternoon and evening. Friendly personnel and helpful. I think the hotel rooms might need a bit of refurbishment to make it up to par with current times, but having said this, it was good value for money, right in the center of Groningen.

Cute hotel, close to the city centre (less than 5 minutes by foot), right next to a supermarket. It's quiet. The room was a bit small but perfectly fine for one person. Comfy bed, nice shower. Good breakfast buffet (bit expensive at 15€). Super friendly and helpful staff. Would come here again.

Just a bit annoying that you have to log into the WiFi once an hour.

Great location! The building is steeped in history. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Walking distance from the centre and museums. Tip; eat at the Spar mini-market near the Museum Island.

Car parking attrocious. There is a public car park around the corner, expensive but better alternative. Ask at hotel reception for a drive-out card with a discount.

It was very clean and well appointed. Bed was comfortable. Hotel is close to the station (15 min walking), but also very close to the city center (5 min walking), while still being quiet. Perfect stay for a weekend in Groningen

Bathroom was on the small side, and air-conditioning was rather loud, we couldn't sleep with it on.
