Aparthotel Ona Aucanada

Staff were lovely, the views out to sea were great and the pools were amazing. We went in July and it was 30 degrees plus everyday, the pools were perfect to cool off in. What was nice was the 3 pools so separate area for toddlers and kids. Also had a life guard which was impressive. At no stage did we struggle to get some sun beds, always some free. The hotel is in a quiet residential area so felt very clean and safe. 10 min walk to the left of the hotel was a small beach and restaurant which were quiet and lovey. 15/18 min walk to the right was Alcudia beach and all the restaurants there. We would walk to Alcudia beach, in the afternoon and if it was super hot we’d get a taxi back to the hotel. There is a taxi rank near Alcudia beach (by Small supermarket) and a taxi cost 7 euros. There is also an amazing restaurant 2 min walk (Anacanada 35) which is worth a visit. Overall it was a great hotel.

The decor was a little tired and didn’t look like the pictures. Also the food was average. Breakfast was very good, the lunch was average. Glad we didn’t have the dinners as walked past one evening and the buffet didn’t look great. Also the gym was very tired.

The location in a quiet residential area with a nice sea view. It feels like going home because the same staff are always there to greet you and help in any way they can. Check-in and out are always very efficient. You can count on the reception staff to give you good advice on where to eat ... and even make reservations for you. The apartments are fairy big with a good kitchen and even a washing machine.

Since the renovation years ago, all the little things like a soap container, a tooth brush glass, a shower shelf corner and even a towel rack under the sink are missing. You have to be a giant to hang a towel on the hooks provided. Some of the furniture like the dining chairs are now falling to pieces (peeling away) and need to be replaced. Apartments are for 6 people but cutlery, plates, mugs... might be for 2 or 5 or 6. Lots of things missing. If you really need anything, just call reception and they will find it for you. Most apartments do not have sun loungers on the terrace (but this is a real MUST) as there is only a limited amount of them around the pool. More umbrellas are also needed.

Lovely breakfast, you can order cooked eggs in addition to the buffet. The pool area is perfect for children with three pools at different depths. We were half board and there were plenty of options for dinner. The staff are so friendly and warm and they packed a breakfast for us leaving as our transfer was before scheduled breakfast time which was much appreciated! The apartment is a 15 min walk to the port and many lovely restaurants. If you walk down the hill towards the sea there’s also a beautiful walk along the water in the opposite direction towards Playa Alcanada. Alcanada 35 and La Terraza are two fantastic restaurants within a few minutes walk.

Everything in the room was very comfortable. The only small issue is a steep stone staircase in the apartment and small children need supervision with this at all times.

The food could have been better. In particular, fresh vegetables were almost missing from the evening buffet. I had expected free drinking water as part of the buffet. I was surprised that we had to buy expensive water.

Absolutely great apartment which has everything. View is amazing, you can see the sea directly from the master room. Bed is super comfortable. there is extra pillow (thin one) which is very great for someone like me who has neck problem.

the wifi is super slow, you need to pay 5 euro per day for the supreme wifi. and the payment website is down, therefore I lived there for 2 days without using wifi.

The best sea view we ever had. Amazing! Attentive, friendly staff. Thank you guys! Spacious apartment, everything worked great - plumbing, shower, washing machine, air conditioning and other facilities.

WiFi isn't free. You can find the price on Booking, it's 5 per 24 hour (there're discounts on longer periods). But what is not stated is that this price is per device. Now thats the most weird internet policy I ever met. So if a family of 3 has couple of laptops and 3 phones - you can add quite a sum extra to your pay. That is something I'd prefer to know beforehand. We wouldn't have come there if we knew, and this is the reason we are not going back. Also it would be nice to have clothespins and a corkscrew in the apartment. Pillows are very uncomfortable.

The staff was amazing at helping us with things to do around the island. The apartment had a lovely view of water on both sides!

Superb location, walking distance to plenty of restaurants and a short drive to some stunning beaches. Small supermarket close by. Comfortable and clean apartment with spacious balcony looking over Alcudia bay. Three spacious clean swimming pools which catered for children of all ages. Good breakfast and option to eat at the property in the evening if needed. Super friendly and helpful staff who helped make our stay just want we wanted. Great restaurant, beach and day trip recommendations. Amazing Aperol spritz and Mojito’s! We hired a car for a few days to explore a bit further a field but car hire not essential.

Occasionally the pool area was very busy but we were always able to find 4 sun beds and equally there were times when the pool area was very quiet.

Spacious appartment for two , comfy beds aircon in all rooms . Three pools , lovely brekkie , helpful reception staff . Took a trip to valldemossa / soller great price and lovely day spent . Having brekkie saved on getting food in as ate out in evening . Distance from centre to bring shopping g home in hot weather. We didn't hire a car. But didn't need it . Amazing restaurents in port alcudia .

Good 20 mins walk to centre but good bus service . Last bus back ftom port alcudua 2035 . Can pay by card for bus .which is cheaper than cash . Bus on a loop run so can go between appartment , alcudua and port alcudia . Tough hill at top by appt but we managed it . Pretty flat most of way .

Sea view, Betsy the cat, convenience, lots of space. Very quiet area, good food, nice pools, shuttle service was great!!
