Hoposa Hotel & Apartaments VillaConcha

Staff was very pleasant. Hotel just reopened 1 day before we arrived and they had some kinks to work out. Pool was fantastic but felt it needed to be swept as there were always dead leafs and things. Rooms were nice and large. Walking distance to restaurants and the beach were short and fantastic.

Need a pool towel... That'll be 10euros deposit (for 1). Everything here costs 10euros from a pool towel to a bike lock. The money is returned once you've returned the item, but this sort of request on the guests is very odd. I heard many people getting irritated at this policy and the managers of the hotel need to figure out another alternative.

The staff were unbelievable, reception team were nothing but helpful ( we had a flight cancellation and other hurdles on our trip ) and they were so so helpful, friendly towards my children and informative about buses etc. They also deal with some tough situations (I witnessed a few occasions where they were being spoken to rudely by parents because children 8 years plus had slipped on slides or slipped in reception after coming in wet. It clearly states to NOT come in hotel wet and not to run on slides / by pool) which I don’t think is fair on them but they again were calm, friendly and gave the best care! The staff round the restaurant / pool again super friendly / happy. Nothing was too much! Cleaning staff always said hello and checking if towels were needed etc. This hotel is perfect. We have 2 & 5 year old who were delighted to be back! The location is spot on for food, walks to beach and getting into the port. Can’t wait for next year!

This place surpassed my expectations. A lovely clean, modern, well equipped hotel. Excellent breakfast ( defo include) , great facilities for kids ( trampoline, indoor soft play and obstacle course) and adults ( semi Olympic swimming pool, gymnasium and bike shop). Reception staff were phenomenal and could not be more accommodating. In particular I would like to thank arvianda ( misspelt?) who recommended and booked fantastic local restaurants and was on hand to advise on anything and everything. Thank you.

The swimming pool is quite small for the number of guests you have as the apartments also have access. It could be a bit cleaner too.

Hotel is spotless and very well maintained throughout. Breakfast is fantastic. Staff are super professional but also very friendly. I was in a ground floor apartment room which was very spacious and comfortable with everything one could possibly need. For cyclists and triathletes, the secure garage, work stands, bike wash area, etc. are perfect (and there's an independently operated bike shop on site which has spares, supplies, clothing, and rentals). Lastly, the hotel is just 2-3 mins walk from the beach.

Slightly strange system where you have to leave a cash deposit for pool towels and locks for bike garage. Like many people, I don't normally carry cash any more. Another weird money-related thing is that when I tried to charge lunch to my room, the waiter's computer rejected the request because I hadn't any "credit" on my room's account, even though they had taken an imprint of my credit card at check-in. There are only two washing machines in the laundry area and there was a lot of contention at times.

The swimming pool facilities are excellent, there is a small pool for younger children which has some small slides. Then there are a couple of larger ones for when their confidence builds. The breakfast buffet was awesome with lots of choice, the bacon was a particular favourite of my daughters' The room was as expected with the small kitchen facilities, not sure if I'd prepare a meal in it but more than enough to heat something up/make a drink etc. I was initially worried about booking this hotel given their target audience is of the sporty kind, however this was unfounded, lots of families there (in August) was just like any other hotel in Majorca.

The location is superb, quiet neighbourhood yet just 2-3 mins walk from the beach front. Our 1 bed apartment overlooking the training swimming pool had everything we needed for self catering. Unfortunately I had a cycling accident resulting in a broken arm and staff were all incredibly helpful. Special thanks to poolside staff, who were very attentive with assisting with my sunbed and parasol. Also the housekeeping staff who very kindly helped tied up my hair for me - small things but they made a huge difference. The hotel inside and also poolside, is immaculately maintained. We were there end of September and weather was fantastic (need cardigan/lightweight jacket in evening).

The stairs to the bedroom are a little narrow and steep although no problem for us, it would not be ideal for anyone with a mobility difficulty.

bar staff are slow it takes forever to get a drink, orders wrong, new bar manager rude on our last evening, we had previously asked for cocktails that were wrong and my daughters had no alcohol he apologised comped us a round as so many mistakes, next evening my daughter asked for a pineapple daiquiris with alcohol as they didn’t give us any the first time and then we got one without again and he said it was our fault as we shouldn’t have mentioned alcohol as it always comes with and again it was the wrong drink I don’t know a daiquiris that is milky and tastes of coconut unless it is pina coloda a lot of work is needed in that area!

The excellent staff are what sets this hotel apart from others. In particular, Moises who was the Restaurant/Bar Manager. This is an excellent hotel for families, especially in high season with planned kids activities and great facilities.

We experienced a couple of minor room related issues which were repaired very quickly after we raised then with Reception e.g. the room safe stopped working and we had a loose fitting underneath the bathroom sink. Additionally, the slow pace of water draining out of the shower was the other issue that will need some attention.

This is a great hotel for families. The pool set up is fantastic with 2 small pools that are ideal for young children and also a pool with water slides. They also run an inflatable assault course in the training pool twice a day which is a hit with the kids and also handy for tiring them out. If your kids are aged between 3 and 10 they will definitely meet new friends in the pool or at the evening disco. It’s a short walk, 5 minutes, to the quieter end of the beach with some kid friendly restaurants in the vicinity. It’s back street location means you do not hear much in the way of noise at night, although there was quite a loud cheer for a late Everton goal when their night match was screened in the hotel bar. Helpfully there is also a bike shop attached to the hotel where you can hire a bike and equipment and there’s a garage to lock your bike and store shoes etc. The gym is also well equipped. The staff are extremely friendly and attentive, especially the young lady who was running all the kids activities single handedly with energy and patience in equal measure.

One minor quibble - a lot of the younger children were getting cut feet from the medium swimming pool. I think from the tiles. This was remedied by a pair of cheap swimming shoes but it would be better if this could be rectified by the hotel. It didn’t detract from our stay though.

That was our second visit to VillaConcha. It's amazing for travel with kids of all ages. These are baby and toddler pools, water slides and swings and more to have fun, rooms are baby proof (all furniture corners are rounded). Room is very well sized, aircon and fridge work very well. Breakfast and dinner (buffet) were not repetitive and so much more convenient in comparison with eating in a reg restaurant when you are with a little one.

It took us some time to figure out how to get the air quality in the room right using various regimes of powerful aircon and humid and hot outside air.
