Brunswick River Inn

I’ve stayed at the River Inn a few times now and it’s always great. The location doesn’t get any better. All rooms have a view of the Brunswick River from the balcony, it’s right next to the beautiful and historic Brunswick Hotel and a bunch of great cafe and restaurants, and just a short stroll to the beach. The room is comfortable and clean. Even though it is central to the action the room is quiet and relaxing. If you are planning a longer stay it doesn’t have a kitchen but bought a small gas burner and cooked some meals in the park.

There were so many good points about this accommodation it's hard to know where to start. Location is the most central in the town...river across the road and spectacular from your balcony; walk to the beach; pub next door which always has musicians on but we didn't hear a thing due to the set-up. Super clean....even the balcony floor was mopped (a first for this traveler). Comfy bed with blankets instead of doonas, which I love because I hate doonas. Loads of space. Functional and renovated bathroom...big tick from me for having a hook for the hand towel (there can never be enough hooks). Really lovely welcome from the manager, who even called me beforehand to check what time I was arriving. And she gave us bowls and plates and cutlery because we brought our brekkie provisions. Love it and will be back.

Nothing to dislike!

The ideal position with proximity to the river and beach. The rooms are adjacent to the Hotel, but in our room there was no noise to be heard from them. The units are all 1st floor with a wonderful Japanese restaurant under on street level.

If I was to criticise anything, which is petty, but the sliding aluminium door was stiff and heavy. The single chair that was inside to be used for writing was very unstable with loose or worn out screws.

Excellent service, call us on day of arrival to make sure someone would be there to greet us. Allocated parking for guests. location fantastic on the river a few minutes from the beach. Cool bar restaurant in motel. Moved the teenagers room on day of arrival to twin instead of double much appreciated. Great facilities in Brunswick, restaurants, bars and fabulous Bruns Bakery.

Amazing location, absolutely beautiful views from the room balcony. Room was clean & tidy and motel located next door to the pub but it wasn’t noisy. There was a secondhand goods festival on the day we stayed, so many bargains!!! We would definitely stay at this venue again for our next trip away. Thank you 😊

Shower head wasn’t the best, it had multiple settings but couldn’t find any that weren’t large droplets.

The location of the Inn was very good being right on the river. Brunswick Heads is a pleasant Seaside town and well worth avisit.The room was comfortable and the Housekeeping Staff were very helpful.

More chairs and a table in the room would have been appreciated. Also it was a bit of a struggle to get up the stairs. A lift would be a good idea.

We arrived as couples part of a group for a wedding The accommodation was clean and the staff helpful The location right next to the Brunswick Hotel was a huge bonus.

The accommodation was up two flights of stairs without an elevator which at my age was an effort. The weather was appalling with torrential rain with car parking outside. This was not in any way the fault of the accommodation but it did make it hard at checking in and out.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was beautifully appointed and had a great view over the river.

I'm struggling to find anything wrong with this establishment. If pressed, I would have to say the pillows were too soft, but it seems churlish to find fault other than this small thing.

The location was excellent. There is a restaurant / bar underneath rooms 8-12 which a bit noisy but they close at 10pm so not really an issue. The Brunswick Hotel is next door and that backs on to rooms 1 to 7 so on Friday and Saturday can get loud. That a side I am planning to stay again later in the year

Lovely managers who made us feel very welcome. The bed in the room where my husband and I slept was new and really comfortable. Fabulous views from the verandah off our room and the dining room. Breakfast was delicious too.

The bed in the room where my daughter and son in law slept was a bit saggy.
