Bay Motel

Smack bang opposite the main beach and close to all the restaurants the location was perfect.The managers were friendly and cleaning staff obliging and cheerful. The room itself was spacious with all we needed.Bed was quite comfortable as was the sofa. Super clean. Parking was tight with some cars sticking out so it was sometimes precision driving. Most of the night it was lovely and quiet.

Every morning early the councils emptied bins and it made a horrendous noise accompanied by the lorikeets screeching. But these are not the fault of the motel; we just went to bed a little early to compensate!

The hotel's proximity to the beach is unbeatable—it's just a stone's throw away, making it incredibly convenient for beach lovers. Additionally, the security measures, such as locking the gates at night, provide peace of mind for guests concerned about safety.

However, one notable drawback is the lack of a kitchen sink, making it inconvenient for guests who wish to wash fruits. While washing produce in the bathroom may not be ideal, it's a compromise that some may find acceptable given the proximity to the beach.

Literally opposite the beach, fantastic location and walking distance to shopping and restaurants. Very safe location. Parking is available in the complex as well. Great hosts. The room is very clean and comfortable. Have stayed here before and will again.

One side of the joined bed was extremely uncomfortable but being solo traveller just jumped to the other side of the bed. The shower head needs replacing and was low (I'm tall) and couldn't get my head under at all.

Can't get a better location. You almost don't need your car. Spotless rooms, safe parking, easy access to many restaurants and right across from the beach. Friendly and helpful manager at reception.

Very noisy with rubbish trucks emptying bins in the early hours of Friday morning, and guests in the room above continuously noisy during the early hours of the morning. Would be good if the kitchen had a tap and basin.

There are so many amazing things about Byron Bay but to top it off was the exceptional experience we had at Bay Motel. The location was beyond perfect, the customer service, attention to detail and prompt response was outstanding and to top it off we had parking onsite. We will defo be returning to Bay Motel and have mentioned our stay to many people.

That we couldn't stay longer!

We were in town for an event at the Beach Hotel. Location in proximity was fantastic and having the beach at your doorstep was a bonus. Super friendly staff, room was clean and tidy. Really happy with the short stay and would definitely book there again.

We did notice that the air con unit looked to be a bit dirty with what looked like mould in the vent. May have been due for maintenance. This didn't effect us in any way or our stay but thought I'd mention it in case you weren't aware.

it would have been a courtesy to have known that early work was being carried out at the property. it was very noisy from 7am. We were on stopover on a long drive and hoping for a sound sleep but we’re woken early by tradesmen.

We stayed here for just over $200 a night which was excellent value for money with a great location. If I had of paid $350 or more, I’d have been disappointed. Clean and basic but modern for a motel. Outstanding location. Friendly staff.

The noise overnight didn’t bother us as we expected it. You will hear bins being emptied, street cleaning, rubbish trucks all night.

Great location, walk straight onto the beach across the road. all the restaurants & shops right outside the door. the owners were super friendly and welcoming, ensuring we were comfortable and had everything during our stay. Rooms VERY clean and tidy. Thanks for the pleasant stay, we will definitely return again!

Only feedback I have is the lights outside each window are left on all night and shines into the room so it's not very dark (we hung the blanket over the curtain rod to block the light out), I understand for safety there needs to be lighting so people don't fall down stairs in the dark- perhaps these could be put on a sensor, or an on switch with an auto-off timer for people to use when they arrive back in the dark?

10/10 location right on the beachfront, and it was super handy having free parking. The bed was very comfortable. The man on reception was so lovely and welcoming.

Being so central with bars and a parking complex next door we did find there was quite a bit of noise up until 10pm but then it was quiet through the night until the rubbish bin collection started up about 7am. This didn't detract from our stay but worth noting if this is something that concerns you.
